Metatron in the Beginning and in the End

Out next Chanukah revelation concerns the archangel Metatron (MTTRVN) of numerical value 314. The sages, tzaddikim and Zohar all tell us he was originally Enoch (ChNVC), the 7th in the lineage of Adam.

Zohar 43. Balak : 6.

Verse 86. “Enoch, who is Metatron,”

We can see from the following verses in the Torah that it was never stated that Enoch dies, only that he walked with God and was taken.

Genesis 5:23-24 “All of Enoch’s days were 365 years. Enoch walked with God, and was no more, because God had taken him.

These Zohar excerpts give it more color and speak of all the secrets that were revealed to Enoch and that subsequently were guarded by Mettatron and then revealed on a need-to-know basis.

Zohar Bereshit 51 474. “We have also been told that Chanoch had a book, which originated from the same place as that of the generations of Adam. And this book contains the inner secrets of wisdom. He was taken from this earth to become a heavenly angel. Thus, it is written: ‘And he was not; for Elohim took him’ (Beresheet 5:24). He is the youth, THAT IS, HE IS ALWAYS CALLED A YOUTH, as the verse states: ‘Train up (Heb. chanoch) a child in the way he should go’ (Mishlei 22:6), INDICATING THAT CHANOCH IS THE YOUTH BECAUSE HE BECAME MINISTERING LAD TO THE SHECHINAH.

475. All the supernal secrets were delivered into his hands and he, in turn, delivered them to those who merited them. Thus, he performed the mission THAT THE HOLY ONE, BLESSED BE HE, ASSIGNED TO HIM. One thousand keys were delivered into his hands and he takes one hundred blessings every day and creates unifications for his Master. The Holy One, blessed be He, took him from this world so that he would serve him above. The text refers to this when it reads: ‘And he was not; for Elohim took him.’

476. Since it was given to him, it is called the book of Chanoch. When the Holy One, blessed be He, took him, He showed him all the supernal mysteries, including the mystery of the Tree of Life, with its leaves and branches in the middle of the garden. We find all those secrets in his book, ALL THAT ELOHIM SHOWED HIM WHEN HE TOOK HIM TO HEAVEN. Happy are those of exalted piety to whom the supernal wisdom has been revealed and from whom it will never be forgotten, as it is written: ‘The secret of Hashem is with them that fear him; and he will reveal to them his covenant’ (Tehilim 25:14).”

As we’ll get into in a moment, it is no coincidence that Enoch was the 7th in the line of Adam, or that he lived 365 years, with 365 being universally agreed as a reference to the solar year.

So who is Metatron?

Zohar 49. Ki Tetze : 28: 138. “It is so THAT METATRON IS SHADAI when the Holy One, blessed be He, descends TO BRIYAH to rule over the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, good being Metatron and evil Samael, who is a devil, the king of demons. Metatron is an angel, the king of angels, but from the aspect of the Tree of Life the name Shadai is Yesod OF ATZILUT..” [the gateway to the uppermost world].

Shadai is the name of G-d (ShDY) found on all Mezuzot which the Jews place on their doorposts. It has the same numerical value as Metatron, 314, as guardian of the gates.

We’ll reinforce the connection from the Zohar linking Enoch (Metatron) as governor ,if you will, of the 7 sefirot (Zeir Anpin/Malchut) and particularly as guardian of the entrance way through Yesod, but for an understanding of the deepest hidden secrets we need to turn to the Tikkune Zohar, chapter 22 of the 70 chapters revealing the 70 faces of Creation.

It’s in the Tikkunei Zohar that we learn that the 6 letters of the Name Metatron (MTtTtRVN) should be expanded into a matrix of 42, similar to the 42-Letter Name of God (Ana B’koach).  In this case, the matrix would be comprised of the name Metatron (MTtTtRVN) and then the name stretched out over the subsequent 6 dimensions, something like this:

In The Genesis Prayer and Nothing is Random in the Universe we discuss in great depth the secrets of 42, Pi (314) and their connection to the Torah’s first verse and also the revelations of the advent of Moshiach in 5778, so we won’t go into it again here, other than to point out again that the number 9/(42-letter Name) = exactly 70 + 3.14159..(Pi).

What we do want to reveal is that while the name Metatron has the numerical value of 314, this 42 letter name of Metatron has a total numerical value of 2198, or 7 x 314.

And why is this significant?

It’s not just because 314+ 42 = 358, the numerical value of Mashiach, of that the Torah has exactly 358 phrases of the numerical value 314, indelibly connecting Moshiach with Metatron, but because there are precisely 2198 letter Zayin(s) in the Torah and the numerical value of Zayin is 7.

Speaking of 7, Zohar Bereshit 1:4. tells us why 7 is so important: “There are seven sacred chambers and seven levels above, which are the secrets of supernal faith, NAMELY BINAH. And there are seven chambers below, IN MALCHUT, similar to those above, IN BINAH. Six of these chambers are just as they are above, CORRESPONDING TO THE SIX SFIROT OF ZEIR ANPIN, but one CHAMBER, CORRESPONDING TO BINAH, IS hidden and concealed.”

Keep in mind that this hidden chamber corresponds to the 7th millennium and the time of Moshiach when Binah Chamber will be open to us.

And at the end of the description of the 7 chambers, the Zohar (Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai) has this further to say about the 7th:

Zohar Bereshit B 19:53. “The same can be found in the seven compartments of the lower land, which are all similar to the SEVEN COMPARTMENTS of the world above. And in all OF THE SEVEN COMPARTMENTS BELOW, there are ANGELS in the shape of humans,…” Not, just Metatron, but we’ll be writing about this shortly as well: how the angels have intervened at key points to keep us on track.

Let’s recap:

A) Enoch was the 7th in the line of Adam: of which Noach was the 10th, an allusion to the completion of 10 sefirot/dimensions; Abraham was the 20th, an allusion to Keter (Esrim, 20); and Moses was the 26th, an allusion to the YHVH (26); so obviously placement is important and not random..

B) Enoch became Metatron of numerical value 314, and thus connected to Pi, which makes a line into a circle, which we know from Rav Ashlag’s work on the 10 Luminous Emanations is how the light enters and fills our universe.

C) Metatron controls the 7 dimensions and gates from our would to the upper ones.  We also know from Abraham, the Patriach in his Sefer Yetzirah, that there are 22 building blocks of the universe, namely the 22 Hebrew letters, 7 of which are called doubles and 7 of which connect us to the 7 planets, and that 22/7 = 3.14..

D) We know that both 314 and 42 are connected together to each other and that they connect us to Creation and that the 42-Letter Name, is like Metatron, our bridge between our world and the upper ones, namely Binah.

E) We know that 314 and 42, and thus Metatron are connected to Moshiach, 358.

F) We know that the name Metatron(MTtTtRVN) expands into 42 letters totaling 2198 or 314 x 7, and that there are 2198 letter Zayin(s) in the Torah and the numerical value of Zayin is 7, meaning the entire Torah was written (conceived) with Metatron in mind, and that there is probably a deeper hidden meaning to 2198 as well, behind the total gematria of the Torah letters being 21009826.

G) Enoch’s (Metatron’s physical) life is connected to 365 years or days as in year, there may be a connection to the end-of-day and the advent of Moshiach that he is obviously connected with. Incidentally, 365 is 7 more than 358, an important point not to be overlooked.

H) If 2198 were a year, it would be 2198 CE, or 5958, 42 years shy of the year 6000 HC, and the 7th millennium. Therefore since the 42 letter of Metatron including the kolel are 2198 + 42 = 2240, they are also equivalent to the year 6000 HC.

So why are there 2 dates, 5778 and 6000 for the advent of Moshiach?

Why indeed? The period between the two prophesied dates is 222 years? So let’s go back to the Zohar and see why there are two dates and why they are 222 years apart. We’ll give you another explanation gleaned from the Torah portion Miketz later in the week.

21. Trumah : 56. Verse 598. If you ask: Metatron serves in the Tabernacle above AND NOT MICHAEL? HE ANSWERS: The tabernacle is of Metatron and Michael the High Priest is the one who serves in the Tabernacle of Metatron, as the High Priest serves above in another Tabernacle that is concealed and not revealed, which is the secret of the World to Come, WHICH IS BINAH. There are two tabernacles. One is concealed, BINAH, and one is the Tabernacle of Metatron. There are two priests, MEANING THE ATTRIBUTES OF CHESED THAT IS CALLED ‘PRIEST’. One is the primordial light, NAMELY CHESED OF ZEIR ANPIN, and one is Michael, the High Priest below.

We know there are 2 Moshiachs (Bed David and Ben Joseph) so we understand that there are 2 Tabernacles to be reveled,  one through Metatron in the year 6000 HC, as has been discussed, and the other through Michael, Archangel and protector of Israel, which according to prophecy will be in 5778, 70 years after Israel became a nation.

Therefore 6000 years will be the full length of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

As for the 222 year differential we must first look to the name of the beast.

Zohar 42. Chukat : 5:29.” AFTER ZEIR ANPIN AND MALCHUT DRINK, ‘they give to drink to every wild beast’ that which is written: ‘and from thence it was parted, and branched into four streams (lit. ‘heads’)’ (Beresheet 2:10). These four heads are ‘every wild (lit. ‘field’, Heb. sadai) beast,’… which is METATRON that receives and perfects IN HIMSELF the Name from Yesod, the Foundation of the world. This is SINCE THE NAME SHADAI IS IN YESOD OF ZEIR ANPIN, AND METATRON, BEING A CHARIOT TO YESOD OF ZEIR ANPIN, RECEIVES THIS NAME.”

Keep in mind that the Torah counts the time to the final redemption in jubilee years (50-year interval) and there are exactly 66.6 jubilee years from the reception of the 10 Commandments at Mt Sinai, until 5778 and 70.2 jubilee years from that date (2448) until 2198 CE. 702 is the gematria value of Shabbat, the 7th day, which is what the period of the final redemption is called.

So what about the 222 years?

In  Zohar 44. Pinchas : 45. “The Chariot of EzekielVerse 248. “When Ezekiel saw the Shechinah among the Klipot, THAT IS TO SAY, AMONG THE GARMENTS, he saw with her ten Sfirot, without any separation whatsoever, and these are the brain that is among all of them. He saw them within the earthly river K’var (Caf Bet Resh) [222], NAMELY, THE EARTHLY CHARIOT (RESH CAF BET) [222], NAMELY, THE LETTERS OF K’VAR REARRANGED) OF METATRON.

So Metatron is the Chariot, as previously defined in the Zohar, and the value of chariot is 222, meaning Metatron will rule over the earthly plain another 222 years past the time of Moshiach Ben David in 5778.

The same Zohar portion continues as it reveals yet another equation about Metatron and the end-of-days, “That is, ‘The Chariots of Elohim are twice ten thousand, thousands upon (Heb. Shin’an) thousands’ (Tehilim 68:18). ‘twice ten thousand’ are twenty thousand. From this you should deduct two that are missing, AS SHIN’AN IS SPELLED THE SAME AS ‘SHE’EINAN’ (MISSING). ‘(SHIN’AN) THOUSANDS’ ARE THE MISSING TWO THOUSANDS. Eighteen thousand remain, which is as the number of the eighteen (Chet Yud) worlds. THIS IS YESOD, WHICH IS CALLED ‘CHAI’ (LIT. ‘LIVE’ – CHET YUD,), which includes the ten Sfirot, attired in the Tet Tet (nine + nine = eighteen) of Metatron (Mem Tet Tet Resh Vav Nun). And this Tet Tet is taken from the word totafot (lit. ‘frontlets’), about which it is said: ‘and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes’ (Devarim 6:8). Who are the eyes? They are those above, about which it is said: ‘the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of Elohim’ (Yechezkel 1:1). These are the ten visions of Metatron, whom Ezekiel saw as a candle within a lantern, nine OF THE VISIONS being clear, with one being vague.”

Take the 2000, (SHIN’AN THOUSANDS” ARE THE MISSING TWO THOUSANDS), then add the “attired in the Tet Tet (nine + nine = eighteen),” 18, and we get 2018. Then take the 2018 and add the NAMELY, THE EARTHLY CHARIOT (RESH CAF BET), the Chariots of Elohim, 222, and we get 2240, the year 6000 HC.

This date of 6000 HC is very significant as will be revealed in our next installment of Chanukah revelations about the 2 dates for the windows of the Tree-of-Life consciousness.  Obviously whether you work towards Moshiach in 7 years time or in 229 years makes a big difference.

The 7th and 8th Torah Portions Reveal the Truth

The 10 paragraphs and 10 chapters of VaYetze and VaYishlach, the 7th and 8th portions of the 54 portions of the Torah respectively, aren’t usually linked together beyond the sequential story of Jacob that they are telling. Nevertheless, on deeper reflection, they are bound together and have deep implications about the final redemption (geula), prophesied by the tzaddikim to occur in 5777.78 – 5778 (2018 CE).

Vayetze, of numerical value 107, begins with the verse “Jacob left Beer-Sheba and heded toward Charan. Innocuous enough, until we examine the Hebrew (VYTzE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH). We know from chazal that the final letters point towards the future, and while the first four of them (EBRA: VYTzE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH) add up to 273, the numerical value of “gematria” and thus pointing out the tool we should be using, all the final letters (EBRACH: VYTzE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH) add up to 778, as in 5778.

Now, this could very well be coincidence, if the numerical value of Vayetz (VYTzE) itself wasn’t 107 and if 5778 wasn’t the 107th triangular number, meaning that all the positive integers through 107 sum up to 5778.

Now, before we examine the letters themselves and delve into the hidden meaning of the verse, lets further note, that the value 107 comes up again significantly later in the portion. The portion begins with Jacob erecting pillar to G-d and it ends after he establishes (solidifies) the 7 dimensions (sefirot) of Zeir Anpin and Malchut through his union with Leach and Rachel with him erecting another one at/called “Geled,” of numerical value 107. BTW, 54 x 107 = 5778.

By erecting these pillars, Jacob was not only establishing the tree-of-life reality, but creating a bridge for us to follow to that divine reality beyond illusion and to the opportunity that approaches in 5778 (2018 ce).

If we look at the letters in the verse themselves, we see the first 3 (EBR) final letters are the first 3 of the Torah as well (BRE) meaning “to create”, They are also not coincidentally the first 3 in Abraham (EBRHM). So are we look past “Jacob Left” we first find the MB (Mem-Bet), as in the Shem Mem-Bet or 42-Letter Name of G-d, combination that is always associated in the Torah and Kabbalah with journeying, which leads off the phrase “Beer Sheba (MBER ShBA), the place named by Abraham and Isaac that translates as 7th Well.

If we rearrange the letters to find the deeper meaning we get MB BRE ShBA or 42 created 7, as in the 42 Letters created the 7 dimensions, alternatively rearranging them as MBSh BRE A, the 42-Letter Name created 70, as in the 7 dimensions expanded by the 10 subsefirot, as explained by the Zohar and the Arizal.

Before we move on and link Vayetze with Vayishlach, it’s notable that Beer Sheva is today the 7th largest city in Israel, and that in Tishrei, the 7th month, 70 years before 5778, Beer Sheva was conquered from the Egyptians by the IDF of the fledgling Israeli nation (1948 ce).

So with scene set, lets examine the joint 7th and 8th Torah portions. The final word of Vayetze in Machanaim (MChNYM) of numerical value 708, which happens to be the numerical value of the upper 42-Letters of the Name of G-d. And as pointed out by Rav Brandwein, when the two 42-Letter Names are linked as one, we get 84 (PaD), redemption, which is all the more relevant since the name Machanaim (MChNYM) means twin camps. The Ramban says that this is Jacob’s camp and the divine camp and since Jacob represents Zeir Anpin, defined by the lower 42-Letter Name, and the Upper 42-Letter Name could easily be the divine camp, we do indeed have the two twin 42-Letter camps.

If we follow the narrative of the Torah, we see that Jacob just left Galed, which we connected to 5778, and encountered angels, which was when he realized the Twin Names were as one, and the process of redemption was at hand. We have also just entered the 32nd chapter of the Torah, which connects us to the 32 Paths of Wisdom that comprise the Tree-of-Life, the unification of the Names.

That was all in the 63rd Paragraph or the Torah, or 70-7, where Jacob had to work for 7 years for Leah, 7 again for Rachel and 7 yet again in total. We turn to Vayishlach, whose first word, Vayishlach (VYShLCh) with the kolel for the 5 letters has the numerical value 359, that of Satan.

The lineage of the Patriarchs, not only defines the structure of the tree-of-life, but delineates a cleansing process, whereby the holy sparks of life were separated from the inherent evil inclinations with each generation. Ishmael was born first and received the brunt of any negativity Abraham had to pass on. Esau was born first and likewise received most of the negativity that Isaac had to pass on, which set up the dynamic of good vs evil between the two brothers Jacob and Esau.

The connection to Satan (evil-inclination) is followed by Jacob’s name (YAKB) of numerical value 182, and by the word malachim (messengers or angels): Jacob sent messengers. The deeper secret is that Jacob sent angles to check on Esau, not actual people as messengers, but the even deeper secret is that the first 5 letters in the word malchim (MLECYM) spell out the word Michael, as in the archangel Michael, the protector of Israel.

A little later in this same chapter Jacob will wrestle with and conquer a powerful angel, who will change his name to Israel, or numerical value 541. The Zohar tells us this was a negative angel, Samuel, also know as Satan, but other chazal say it may have been Michael. It would appear the first words of the portion set up that Dynamic: Satan Jacob Michael, and when we look even closer at the gematria we see 359, 182, and Michael (101). If you then add 359 + 182, you’ll get 541, Israel, insinuating that the new Jacob conquered Satan, and became Israel.

If we combine the final letter message of the first verse of Vayetze with the full 3 word message of the first verse of Vayishlach, we get (778 + 1242 – 2 (kolel of the 2 verses)) = 2018, the Year of the Covenant of Abraham, and when using the Western calendar, the year 2018 CE, or 5778 HC, 70 years after Israel became a nation and the Covenant began to be fulfilled.

A Hidden Equation

Keter (CTR), the crowning sefirot, can be expressed as its numerical gematria value of 620, or as 100, or even as 1000 depending on the circumstances. And in these combined two portions 10 chapters and/or 10 paragraphs) we have 100 letter Zayins of numerical value 7; 620 letter Ayins of numerical value 70 each; and 273 Nun sofits of numerical value 700 each. While the value of these 3 letters is 777, the number of these 3 letters is (100 + 620 + 273) = 993 = (1000 – 7), giving us an equation that balanced the ultimate Divine, Keter, with our spiritual path (ladder) from Earth to Heaven.

Flash Forward to Today

There is so much hidden and revealed in these two portions and many books have been written about them so we won’t duplicate that here. One point we do want to emphasize is the connection between Esau and Edom, which the Zohar often refers to as Rome and connects with the “end-of-days” as we know them, the final redemption. To begin with Ishmael is the father of the Islam world; Esau is the father of Edom, the Christian world; and Jacob is the father of the Israeli (Jewish world), all under Abraham. If you recall from our articles on the Washington Monument, Washington, the new center of Edom (the Christian World) is the United States, whose capital is Washington D.C..

We also explained that the original name for Washington was Rome (Rome on the Potomac) and that the Zohar insists Rome will lead the final and losing assault against the rising Moshiach consciousness that will bring about the Final Redemption. We further went into detail explaining the encoding of the Washington Monument, whose height is 555 ft, but now we can tie it into the portion that tells us Esau is father of Edom and hat lays out not only all his descendants, but according to the Zohar and the Arizal, the entire structure of the evil tree-of-life, the anti-tree-of-life if you will, prescribed by 8 Kings that preceded Israel.

After sending angels and engaging the help of Michael, Jacob gives a tribute to Esau of 555 animals, when the kolel of 5 is included for the 5 animal species (Goats, Sheep, Camels, Cows, and Donkeys). Every year a sacrificial goat is given over to Satan, the “scape-goat” to appease him and draw off the Israeli sins, and this gift to Esau appears to be no different.

So, let’s take a step back and review the connection.  Jacob spent the last portion of the Torah raising pillars (alters) to G-d. Now, he gives a sacrifice to Edom of 555 animals. Flash forward about 3430 years and the Masons erected a pillar in the Capital of Edom for the country to rally around that is 555 feet high.  Is this just a coincidence?

What’s the connection?

Shabbat Shalom and Happy Thanksgiving! We all have a lot to be thankful for. It’s only through the appreciation of what we have that we can receive more.

The 3 Columns of History.

The Torah always presents information to us with great built in redundancy, so it’s not the Torah’s fault if we’re slow on the uptake.  For example, did you ever wonder why there were 70 family members who entered Egypt and began the 210 years of exile there while they grew to 600,000? Or why Moses and his siblings had to pass the Torah on to 70 Elders before it could be given to the people, also 600,000 at the time. And you probably didn’t realize that Noah’s sons had 70 named descendants in the Torah, which eventually populated the world.

Ok, so what?

So if the Torah is expressing a distinctive pattern, it’s our  obligation to try and figure out why, what he message is. This is the Sod Torah, the secret chambers of the Torah that house the deepest wisdom.

The pattern:

Noach (1) – his 3 sons – 70 descendants

Adam (1) – 3 Patriarchs – 70 family members

G-s (1) – 3 Moses/Aaron/Miriam – 70 Elders

The Tree-of-life comes to mind right away:

Keter

Binah –  Da’at – Chochma

Gevurah -Chesed

By the way, the 70 sub-sefirot are naturally bundled this way; it wasn’t some convenient arrangement of ours.

Then, of course, there is 137, the numerical gematria value of Kabbalah, meaning both to receive and also parallel, as in parallel meaning and parallel universe.

As my friend Mordechai pointed out, 1-3-70 is also 1370 as in the 1370 that Chazal tells us the Moslems were to rule over the Jews in merit of their forefather Ishmael (10 years for each of the 137 of his life), which incidentally ended on June 8th, 2002, 1370 years after the death of Mohammad in 632 CE.

Then there is 1 x 3 x 70 = 210 years of exile in Egypt.

Of course, Keter is 1, but it’s also 100 and 100 + 70 + 3 = 173, as in the 173 keys that the Zohar tells us G-d gave to Moses to access Heaven, and allusion to the small gematria value of the 42-Letter Name of G-d, 173.

Let’s put that aside for the moment and see where the 3 column structure of the Tree-of-life takes us. The Arizal explains that all history is based on cycles of the coupling of Zeir Anpin and Malchut (in it’s most simplistic form, Heaven and Earth).  These cycles include the 3 times of the day (corresponding to the 3 sets of daily prayers); the 7 days of the weeks; 12 months in a year He further states that in the grand cycle, the destruction of the Second Temple in 3830 HC heralded the end of the coupling of Zeir Anpin and Malchut, which will reoccur in the time of the Third Temple. Interestingly, the Second Temple was destroyed in 70 CE, and the first Temple was destroyed in 3338 HC, or -422 CE, which is germane because 422 is the gematria value of the word seventy (70).

Now, since the 2nd of the 3 periods (columns) of history ended in 3830, if this first 2 periods were split down the middle, each would be 1915 years long.  I haven’t found any biblical events that match the year 1915, but Abraham was born 33 years later in 1948.

And similarly, 3830 + 1915 (or alternatively 1915 x 3 periods) = 5745 (1985 CE), which is 33 years before 5778, the year prophesied by Rav Ashlag, etc. for the geula (final redemption) and the arrival of Moshiach and the 3rd Tree-of-life opportunity.

Nevertheless, we know that the 70 years of King David’s life is tied into the  whole Mashiach calendar and that the midpoint of his life in 2889 HC is exactly halfway between Adam (0) and Moshaich in 5778 HC, and so we should see see how his life compares with the 3 periods of 1915 years. As it happens, half way between the first 1915 year period and the the second at 3830 is the year 2872 and half of 33 years later is 2889, alternatively David was born 33/2 years before 2872 in 2854 HC.

So why the 33 years?

Is it because it’s 1/3 of 100 (keter)? Or because it’s 1 more than the 32 Paths of Wisdom (Tree-of-life).  Or is it something deeper, some link/path/gateway that G-d wants us to find on our own. After all, the square root of 33 is 57.45, as in 3 x 1915 = 5745.

Couldn’t be, right? Square roots factoring into G-d’s Divine calendar?

Well, maybe, considering that the square root of 1370 = 37.01, and the gematria value of the 42-Letter Name is 3701. And speaking of the 42-Letter Name, whose small gematria value if you recall was 173, the square root of 3 is 1.73.

Nevertheless, 33 is 2/3 or .666 of the 50-year biblical jubilee year, which the Torah commands us (starting back in 2448 HC at Mt Sinai) to count, until the arrival of Moshiach 3330 (66.6 jubilee) years later.

Now the Divine Calendar is so designed so that Abraham would be born in 1948 HC, and Israel would become a nation in 1948 CE and that 1948 years after the destruction of the Second Temple in 3830, we’d get the 3rd opportunity for the Tree-of-life reality in 5778, which is 2018 CE, 70 years after Israel became a nation, just as it was 70 years after Abraham was born in 1948, that G-d made his Covenant with Abraham (in 2018 HC).

But if that isn’t enough, it was also so designed so that the square root of the year the First Holy Temple was destroyed, 3338 is 57.78, and moreover that the square root of 5778 is 76.0 and 76.6 jubilee years is 3830, when the Second Holy Temple was destroyed.

So G-d had a plan for us all along, and a time table, a very specific one it seems, down to the square roots, so let’s take another look at the 1-3-70 progression. And it turns out that the sum of their respective square roots is 11.1, as in the numerical value of the 1st Hebrew Letter, Alef (ELP), 111, which leads us back to 1 (One). But as for the progression and the cyclical coupling of Zeir Anpin and Malchut, the Arizal explains that the 600,000 Jewish souls at Mt Sinai can trace their soul root back through the 70 members through the 12 sons through the 3 Patriarchs to Adam, meaning:

600,000/70/12/3 = 238.095

and

238.095 = 1/42

=

The atomic weight of

Uranium238

These are just a few of the secrets revealed in just one of the Torah’s many chambers.  But buried beneath this chamber of history is another chamber, with deeper secrets, with clues to the 4th Period of History, he one to come.  We’ll open the seal on that chamber in our next post…

The Secret in the Song; The Secret of Moshiach.

In the 40th verse of the 32nd chapter of Devarim we have an oft overlooked statement by Moses
in the middle of the all-important Song of Moses that holds one of the most important secrets of the Torah.

The Zohar goes on and on about the connection between this 32nd chapter (parsha Ha’Azinu) that’s shaped like the Magen David and the 32 Paths of Wisdom, in other words the Tree-of-Life. The Zohar also tells us elsewhere that Moses reincarnates every generation and brings us the spirit of Moshiach each time. We’ve written earlier about how Moshe and Adam (and many other tzaddikim) both knew when Moshiach was supposed to arrive.

The Arizal tells us that David was an incarnation of Adam in the triad (ADM: Adam-David-Mashiach) and we’ve written about how the midpoint of David’s life (2889 HC) marked the midpoint in the Divine Calendar that is punctuated with the arrival of Moshiach and the geula (final redemption) in 5778 (2018 CE) as advised to us by Rav Yehuda Halevi Ashlag (HaSulam), 7 years from now.

And as Rav Brandwein points out, 78 is (Ayin-Chet), the initials of AZ ChYYM (the Tree-of-Life) that is prophesied to manifest for us in 5778, as the Zohar says 70 years after the formation of the state of Israel in 5708.  Please note that this divine manifestation in 5778 is just a powerful window of opportunity and not a foregone conclusion; we must earn it.
Now, as for that little phrase mentioned by Moses, the one that contains one of the deepest secrets of the Torah, it begins with “For I lift up my hand to Heaven, and say,” and follows with “Chi Anochi L’Olam (ChY ENCY LALM),” meaning “As I live forever.” People miss this extremely significant detail because they assume Moses is speaking for G-d, but why would G-d in Heaven raise his Hand to Heaven?

What is this like? It’s like when Moses held up his hand to empower the Israelites to defeat the Amalekites. The Torah tells us as long as Moses hand (was) is raised the Israelites would win; when it wasn’t Amalek, the Kabbalistic code word for “doubt” of the same numerical value, would win.

Whoever was talking for Whom, Moses was and is the channel, our channel. And if his hand remains up in the end of days, we win, triumphing over our doubts so as to experience the Tree-of-life reality. Both related verses are followed by verses describing the use of the Sword (Charev) of Moses (details for another day) and both verse end similarly but with an all-important disctiction. The verse at Devarim 32:40 ends in forever (LALM), while the verse at Exodus 17:11 ends in Amalek (AMLK). The difference between them is that the Hebrew letter Lamed extends upward toward Heaven and the Hebrew letter Koof descends.  Numerically their difference is 70 in standard gematria, and 7 in ordinal value, 77 altogether. The choice is pretty clear: we support Moses and keep his hands held high as the Israelites did during their earlier battle, or we don’t. The Torah goes on to warn us that “G-d shall be at war with Amalek for all generations,’ meaning, we shall face our doubts until the very end.

While the initials of verse 32:40 (ChEL) sum to 39, as in tal, the dew that will resurrect the dry bones at the end of days, an over simplification of a topic that the tzaddikim have filled volumes on, it’s the final letters and the complete gematria of the 3 words that tell the full story.
As Chazal explains, the final letters of a Torah phrase refer to the future and if so, the future this phrase points to is Keter, the highest crowning sefira (dimension). The final letters sum to 620 (Keter), just as there are 620 letters in the 10 Commandments, which was the last time Moses brought us to the summit of the Tree-of-Life reality, 3330 years ago (66.6 jubilee years).
But it’s the full 3 words that explain it all. Most of our readers already know the equation 54 x 107 = 5778 and significance of 54 being the timing rhythm our brains operate on etc., and also that the sum of all the integers though 107 is 5778 in the same way that the sum of all the integers through 73 (Chochma/Wisdom) is 2701, the numerical value of the Torah’s first verse. To those readers it will be all the more significant that the ordinal value of “As I Live (ChY ENCY)” is 54 and that of “As I Live forever (ChY ENCY  LALM) is 107; nevertheless, to everyone it should be relevant that the complete gematria of the phrase Sung by Moses to the Israelites in the 5792 verse of the Torah is 376, that of Shalom (Peace).
Moreover, the 7 Yuds in the full verse represent the 70 years that Adam gave to King David, and also of the Zohar’s prophecies for Israel, and also of Abraham’s life prior to his receiving G-d’s Covenant for Israel in 2018 HC, and thus we see that the 7 remaining years to 5778 represent the final tenth (or tithe, 7/70) of the 70 final years until 2018 CE (5778 HC), so let us overcome our doubts, keep Moses hand upraised, so that Moses shall live forever and Peace shall be upon us, as the Tree-of-Life once again becomes  a reality for us. As aided and guided by the Torah, lets follow the Lamed of forever and look upward, and not downward along the Koof of Amalek for the remaining 7 of the 70 years.
Why was this revealed in verse 5792 and not 14 verses earlier in verse 5778, who knows? Maybe it’s because 14 is the numerical value of David, or of “Hand (YD),” as in the hand that will be lifted up to Heaven. Or it could simply be that this was the 302107th letter in the Torah.

Or it could be that we are to count this time from the 14th verse in the Torah in which G-d placed the lights in the sky? And the brightest of those physical lights is our Sun, whose surface temperature is undeniably, 5778 K, the only temperature that would sustain life on Earth as we know it.
As for the full verse, its initials sum to 161, as in G-d’s higher Name Ehyeh, and the final letters of the entire verse sum to 376 (peace) yet once again (when the kolel of 1 is subtracted).

And the first 3 words of the verse (Ki EShah El) add up to 363, that of H’Moshiach (the Messiah), just in case we weren’t exactly sure to what or to who the final 3 words were referring  in Moses’ reincarnation.

Finally, the first and last letters of the verse (Caf and Mem sofit) also add up to 620 (Keter). And if we neglect the sofit value they sum to 80, as in the spelled-out value of the letter Mem and as in the 80 times the word Sheva (7) is found in the Torah; it’s also the number of times the numerical value 358, that of Moshiach, is found in the Torah.

Let the Torah be our Guide.

And whether this was intentional or not, the numerical placement of the two verses 2nd Book 17:11 and 5th Book 32:40 add up to 107. Go figure!
