The Ten Commandments Part V: Where are You, God?

Some Got it, Most Didn’t; Will We?

…Continued from The Ten Commandments

In the previous installments we spoke of the first 3 words (Exodus 20:2), “I am God, your Lord,” of the 10 Commandments and how they connect with the Torah’s first verse and how they contain the entirety of the 10 Commandments’ power and structure.

Just to add to what’s been discussed already,  we note that we can break down (ENCY YHVH ELHYC) into the symmetrical phrase (EYC YHVH NHL EYC), which numerically is (31 + 111 + 31) and while 31 is the numerical value of El (G-d) and Lo, (LE), meaning “don’t,” used so often throughout the 173 words of the 10 Commandments.  Meanwhile 111 is the value of the letter alef (E), the permuted phrase could translate to “Where are you? G-d, our guide, Where are You?”

Some of the Israelites reached Keter, and the Tree-of-life represented by alef, which when broken down (Yud-Vav-Vav-Yud) has the numerical value of 32 and thus is our physical symbol of the 32 Paths of Wisdom that are the 32 connections (energy centers and channels) of the 10 sefirot (dimensions) that comprise the Tree-of-life. One of the interesting things about the structure of the letter alef (Yud-Vav-Vav-Yud) is that the upper Yud-Vav component when spelled out equals 42 numerically, as does the lower Yud-Vav component when spelled out equal 42. Thus the letter Alef, all on its own represents the complete union of the upper and lower 42-letter Names, which chazal has explained together translate to Pad (84), redemption.  It’s no wonder that the Alef represents the Tree-of-life, which according to R’ Chaim Vital of blessed memory in his book, New Writings, is really 42 and connected to the 42 Letter Name, because the 32 Paths are added to the 10 sefirot (dimensions). This is also why there are 42 letters in the names of the sefirot.

Most did not, and asked “Where are you? G-d, our guide, Where are You?”

They could see the words but not beyond them. We have to do everything we can to see beyond them, past the barriers of our own illusions, our own limitations.

Like the first 3 words of this first verse that significantly have 13 letters that correspond to the 13 verses of the Ten Commandments, the last 2 words of the verse m’bet avadim, have 9 letters corresponding to the 9 paragraphs: (MBYT ABDYM), “from the house of slavery.”

So let’s examine those 2 words, which were last used in the Torah during the killing of the first born, the 10th plague, whose initials were MB. These 2 words (MBYT ABDYM) begin with Mem-Bet and Ayin-Bet respectively, as in the 42-Letter Name and the 72 Names, which are the keys to freedom hidden within the doorways to the house of slavery.

Some found these keys, most didn’t.

Those that didn’t weren’t really ready, even after everything they had seen. They still weren’t ready to let go completely.

When we unlock the MB and AB in (MBYT ABDYM) we’re left with 5 letters that total 1024, as in the numbers of word values in the Torah, precisely 210, or 32 x 32. Moreover, concealed within teh word for slavery (ABDYM) are the initials of Mashiach Ben David, and what’s left is the Hebrew word  Yi (AY), meaning “debris, ruins.” Two clear choices.

When faced with a revelation of light, we can choose to embrace it, or to embrace our doubts instead.  Most people choose the comfort of their doubts, and the company of their peers.

And while the numerical value of MBYT is 452, so is the number of times that the value 86, that of Elohim appears in the Torah, 452 times.  It’s noteworthy that found Elohim appears in both the Torah’s first verse and the 10 Utterances introductory verse (Exodus 20:1), both of whichare comprised of 7 words and 28 letters.

Meanwhile, the value of (MBYT ABDYM), “From the house of slavery” is 578, a possible allusion to the year prophesied  5778.

The connection to Elohim is understandable, considering that this Name (aspect of) G-d, was found 32 of those times in Creation, the first chapter of the Torah, which of course, means that the value 86 is found 32 times the story of creation and 420 times in the rest of the Torah. Things that make you go hmm!

Moreover, the value 86, that of Elohim, is found a total of 62 times through the completion of the 10 generations of Adam in chapter 5, analogis to the 62 letter Yuds of numerical value 10 within the 620 letters of the 10 Commandments.

There’s not much room for coincidence here. Nor room for error, as the window to the Tree-of-life opens for the 3rd time, the last time being 3330 years ago.

As one would imagine there’s so much concealed information and guidance jam-packed into these 620 letters that it becomes tedious to try to maneuver through it all. So we’ll stop here and continue in our next posts, where we’ll explain what everything in the previous articles were hinting at: what happened at Mt Sinai; what were the two paths in the Torah that followed; and what’s hidden in plain sight within the 10 Commandments that describes what the next few years will bring.

The implications for us today are extraordinarily profound, which is why all this tedious background enlightenment into the workings and encodings of the Ten Commandments (Utterances) and to its connection to the whole Torah were necessary. The Torah must be seen as a whole, and the 10 Utterances as a special moment or window in time if we are to welcome the next cosmic opening.

How Far is it From Jerusalem To Zion?

Where is Jerusalem? What is Zion? How can the distance to the final redemption be measured? How far away is it? The Torah and Zohar have all the answers.

First, we have to understand what and where is Zion, so let’s turn to Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and the Zohar and the commentary by Rav Yehuda Halevi Ashlag of blessed memory(Hasulam):

32. Acharei Mot : 28. As is done below so is done above
Verse 175. “We have learned that when the Holy One, blessed be He, wanted to create the lower world, He made it all similar to the upper. He made Jerusalem the center of the entire earth, and one place above it called Zion, WHOSE SECRET IS YESOD. It receives blessings from this place. Through this place of Zion, the earth started to be built, and through it the world was built. This is what the verse says, “El Elohim, Hashem, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down thereof” (Tehilim 50:1). From which place? “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, Elohim has shown forth” (Ibid. 2), meaning Elohim did appear from Zion, which is the ultimate beauty of the world. Come and see that Jerusalem, WHICH IS MALCHUT, was blessed only from Zion, WHICH IS YESOD, and Zion WAS BLESSED from above, MEANING ZEIR ANPIN. Everything is one, one bonded into one, AS ZEIR ANPIN AND MALCHUT, THE SECRET OF ONE ON ONE, ARE JOINED BY ZION.”

29. Shmini : 2. Zion and Jerusalem
Verse 11. “Rabbi Pinchas opened the discussion with the verse: “Hashem shall bless you out of Zion and you shall see the good of Jerusalem” (Tehilim 128:5). AND HE ASKS: Why “out of Zion”? HE ANSWERS: Because FROM ZION, WHICH IS THE YESOD OF MALCHUT, all blessings come out to all, as it is written: “For there Hashem has commanded the blessings, even eternal life” (Tehilim 133:3). Hence, “Hashem shall bless you out of Zion,” since from there blessings emanate to everything. “And you shall see the good of Jerusalem.” For the sake of Zion, Jerusalem – WHICH IS MALCHUT – is blessed, BECAUSE ZION IS THE YESOD OF MALCHUT and Mercy rests there. When Jerusalem is blessed, all the people are blessed.”

We can understand from these and many other references to Zion in the Zohar that Zion is a spiritual place, a point above the physical Jerusalem, which is manifest in Malchut. In terms of the tree-of-life, Zion is Yesod of Malchut.  There are 10 Major sefirot (dimensions) in the Tree-of-life and each are subdivided into 10 similar ones, thus 10 x 10 sefirot.  The bottom most (the 100th one) is Malchut which just receives from the others and the one on the scale just above it (say the 99th one), is Yesod of Malchut. It is from this point that all the light (energy, life-force) from all the others gets channeled through. This is Zion.

The further removed we are from Zion, the further away we are from purity and from the life-sustaining light. We need to know how far we have to climb for Malchut of Malchut to join with Yesod of Malchut to become one with the Light, with G-d, with the Tree-of-life reality. That answer was given to us by the Torah.

From Jerusalem (M’Yerushalem, MYRVShLYM) To Zion (B‘TzYVN). The prefixes, “From” and “To,” “Mem” and “Bet,” are the designated letters  (MB) that add up to 42, and that the Torah uses to initialize all spiritual journeys, including all 42 times that the Israelites journeyed in their 40-year trek from exile to the Promised Land.

These letters (MB) are also representative of the Shem Mem-Bet, the 42-Letter Name of G-d, that is Zeir Anpin and where we can find Zion hidden in Yesod of Malchut.  If you will, please notice that in the center of the last line of the 42-Letter Name matrix are the letters Vav-Tzadi-Yud, preceded by the letter Koof which is composed of a Caf or Resh and a final (sofit) letter Nun. Thus we have the letters Tzadi-YudVav-Nun sofit which spells TzYVN (ZION).

This is not coincidence; it is a gateway, but being that as it may, how to we go from Jerusalem to Zion, in order to receive all the blessings of the final redemption.

So the question must first be how do we measure spiritual distance? We can’t use a tape measure because there isn’t a rope, not even an invisible one that stretches from one dimension to the next. The only thing that spans that distance is energy, and the only way to measure this energy is with gematria, for in spirituality distance is measured by similarity of form and that is what gematria reads, how similar or dissimilar an objects energy is.

When we add up the gematria value of “From Jerusalem (M’Yerushalim, MYRVShLYM) To Zion (BTzYVN)” we get 2017, or maybe 2018 with the Kolel, given that Abraham’s journey and thus the entire Israelite and monotheistic journey began in 2018 HC at paragraph 42 in the Torah.

So how close are we?

The events predicted by Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai in the Zohar are being played out including the revelations of kabbalah and the secrets of the Ana B’koach, the 42-Letter Name, the 70 years of Israel being a Nation, the role of the secret Rome, and more…

Well, what else has followed our society’s spiritual journey lately?

The attack in Mombasa on Nov 28th, 2002; the earthquake in Bam, Iran on Dec 26th 2003; the Tsunami (mabul) off the coast of Meulaboh, Indonesia on Dec 26th 2004; the attack on/in Mumbai on Nov 26th 2008;  Bernie Madoff on Dec 11th, 2008; the massive blackbird kill on Jan 1, 2011 (1/1/11) at Beebee, Arkansas; Mubarak’s downfall on Jan 26th, 2011 and ultimate ouster on the hillula of Moshe Rabbeinu, Feb 11th, 2011. Of course, there is President Obama, and now the Muslim Brotherhood.

As for the 11’s, they could relate to the 11 sefirot, etc, but 26 is definitely the numerical value of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH).  And some would say that the ultimate 11 was on 9/11/01 with the attach on the Borough of Manhattan.  In our on-going series on the 10 Commandments, we’ll soon see how this all ties together.

Don’t see the connection? Need a divine oracle? Seeing as this week’s Torah portion was Tetzaveh, how about using the high Priest’s Breastplate and garments, the Choshen and the Urim and Tumim. No, it’s true they are no longer available to us but they did house and rely on the divine power of the Shem Mem-Bet (42-Letter Name) that is still very much available to us. And while the numerical value of Choshen is 358, the same as Moshiach (Messiah), the numerical value (gematria complete sofit) of the Urim and the Tumim (HEVRYM V’HTMYM) with the kolel is 2018 yet again.

Thus even without its presence today, we can understand the chazal’s explanation that the understanding of the Shem Mem-Bet with bring about the geula (final redemption) and Rav Yehuda Ashlag of blessed memory’s explanation that the Moshiach will be manifest in 2018 (5778).

The distance shortens everyday. Are we ready? Remember, 3330 years ago, the distance narrowed to zero, but we weren’t ready. Are we ready today?

Ten Commandments Part IV; Back to the Beginning

At the Seed of Keter, the Window Opens

It’s not surprising that the high point (H’keter) in the Torah would be connected to its first verse, or seed level consciousness, in the same way that if we don’t have the purest of intentions when we help someone, our efforts will go awry or even backfire.

So let’s look to the seed level within the 10 Utterances, at its first verse at Exodus 20:2. Amongst the 9 words of the verse, which are analogous to the 9 paragraphs of the 10 Commandments, we find that its first 3 words form a 13-letter phrase (analogous to the 13 verses of the 10 Commadnments), “Anochi Adonai Elohicah (ENCY YHVH ELHYC),” “I am God, your Lord.”

That should have been enough.

While 3-word phrases in the Torah are often associated with the 3 columns of the Tree-of-life schematic, and this time even more so since the word ELHYC has the gematria sofit value of 546, as in the initials of the 10 sefirot (dimensions) of the Tree-of-life.

This is not surprising, as we know from chazal that the 10 Utterances represent those 10 sefirot (dimensions) of the Tree-of-life, but what is news is that the regular gematria value of this phrase is 173, as in the 173 keys of Moses, the 42-Letter Name, the understanding of which chazal tells us will bring the geula. And which is analogous to the 172 words plus 1 for the kolel of the 10 Commandments.

It should have been enough, all the power of the 10 Commandments, the power to transform and transcend, was all wrapped up in its first 3 words, “Anochi Adonai Elohicah (ENCY YHVH ELHYC),” “I am God, your Lord.”

And if you recall from the prior articles in this series, the numerical value 173 is found 13 (ahava/love) times in the Torah. Yes, it’s because of G-d’s love for us that He gave us the 42-Letter Name, but also this is another piece of evidence that the 42-Letter Name (Ana B’koach) is the love algorithm, a spiritual formula and cosmic technology that connects us to “unconditional love,” the numerical value of of which is not only the value of the 42-Letter Name’s first line, 506, but also the number of times the 14 triplets in the Name appear in the Torah, 506 times. This is also the complete (ordinal and simple) value of Mashiach Ben David, but much more about that can be found in The Genesis Prayer.

Moreover, 506 is also the numerical value of the 32nd (VShR) of the 72 Names, and as we saw with our blogs on the splitting of the Red (Endless) Sea, the 42-Letter Name and the 72 Names often work in concert when big, so-called, miracles are required.  This also further connects the 42-Letter Name to the 32 Paths of Wisdom and thus the Tree-of-life.

And speaking of Moshiach and the geula, not only are the first 2 words of the 10 Utterances “I am God” found at letter number 107007 in the Torah, but their numerical value is 107 as well, leading us right back to 5778 (2018 CE), the date the tzaddikim gave us for the arrival of Mashiach and the geula (final redemption) since the sum of the integers through 107 = 5778, and since this being the 54th paragraph in the Torah, 54 x 107 = 5778 as well..

Why not a perfect 107007?

Because it probably is perfect on some level that we don’t fathom as yet. We find this non-perfect reference again in the (600,000 – 408) component letters in the Torah, whereby 408 x 6 = 2448, the year of the 10 Utterances and when Keter was achieved for a few, and not for the 600,000 Israelites who were present and could have achieved it.

Meanwhile, while 408 x 6 = 2448, the equation 408/6 = 68, the numerical value of Cha’im, life, as in Etz Cha’im, the Tree-of-life, and the number of alefs (E) in the 620 letters of the 10 Utterances.

Are we reading into this? You decide. The verse that immediately precedes and introduces the 10 Utterances, Exodus 20:1 “God spoke all these words, saying:” has 7 words and 28 letters, just like the Torah’s first verse.

Moreover, the initials of those 7 words add up to 68, again, the numerical value of Cha’im, life, as in Etz Cha’im, the tree-of-life.

And, the total gematria sofit value of that verse less a kolel of (28/7 or 4 for the YHVH) is 2448.

And with a kolel of 28 for the 28 letters it equals 2480, which is the sum of the Names of the 5 Books.

Also the standard gematria for the full verse is 1332 or 2 x 666.

Anyway you look at it, this introductory verse is connecting the 10 Utterances (Commandments) spoken by G-d at Sinai to Creation itself. That simple 3 word phrase Anochi Adonai Elohicah (ENCY YHVH ELHYC),” “I am God, your Lord,” was directly plugged in to G-d Himself. Soon, we’ll be able to plug in once again…

The Real 5 Books of the Torah: Dimensions Beyond.

There are 5 Books of the Torah as we see them laid out in the scroll before us, 2 dimensionally, and even if we study its secrets and read the Rabbis’ different interpretations, there are still only 5 Books divided into a stream of words, but that’s because we’re only looking at them from our limited point-of-view, stuck in Malchut.  There is another way of viewing them that will expand our consciousness and raise us into the Tree-of-life.

This is Wisdom for those that understand. The Arizal in his commentary on portion Terumah, said that the Torah was at the level of Yesod of Abba, which is Chochma, which is also the Yud in the Tetragrammaton (YHVH).  We’ve read elsewhere and also from the Ari himself that the Torah is at the level of Zeir Anpin (the bundle of 6 sefirot/dimensions from Heaven to Earth), and also that it’s at the level of Binah, so what gives?

What gives is our limited perspective. They are all right.

In the Arizal’s pregnant statement that the Torah was at the level of Yesod of Abba, we can see that there are about 80,000 words in the Torah and then knowing that 80 is the numerical value of Yesod(YSVD) and that the 5 digits in 80,000 reflect 10x10x10x10 or 104 we have clues to understanding the Ari’s statement.

First we must understand that there are 5 main levels of the sefirot corresponding to the 5 worlds and the 5 parts of the YHVH.

5 Main Dimensions

5: Keter (tip of the Yud)

4: Chochma or Abba (Father) Yud

3: Binah or Imma (Mother) Hey

2: Zeir Anpin (Vav)

1: Malchut (final Hey)

Then we can see that 5-digit numbers are at the level of 104, as shown above, and thus they are at the 4th level, which as the Arizal said, is Abba (Chochma).

We can thus understand from the Ari’s statement that the words of the Torah are at level of Yesod of Abba (Chochma). Yesod is the point (funnel) where the light flows into the next lowest sefira, in this case Binah or Imma.

And the pseudo-sexual reference to flowing into Imma from Abba is not coincidental as this analogy is as best we can understand it  and Yesod is indeed associated with the sexual organs for this very reason. In fact, one of the reasons that there are 79,976 words in the Torah and not 80,000 exactly is that 24 of them, or .03% were removed in a spiritual circumcision of sorts, since a proper circumcision (brit milah) is done is 3 parts: a) cutting away the foreskin, b) Revealing the glans, and c) Extracting the blood from the wound.

Letters

Now, there are 600,000 letters in the Torah. Actually there are (600,000 -408) component letters of the 304,805 full letters in the Torah, as we’ve explained in previous articles, but the sages use the 600,000 figure, corresponding to the 600,000 Israelites at Sinai.

The numerical value of the letter Vav is 6, and 60% of the verses in the Torah begin with the letter Vav. And if those 408 missing letters were Vav’s, their value would be 2448, the year the Torah was revealed at Sinai, which would be .408% of 600,000.

Nevertheless, 6 is representative of Zeir Anpin.  And 6 digits is at a higher level that the 5 digits of Abba (Chochma), and thus would be at the highest level of Keter. Thus the 600,000 letters of the Torah are similarly at Zeir Anpin of Keter.

How are we to understand this? When we look at the Torah we see letters grouped into words, but this is like seeing the various components of light already assembled together: the blue wavelength, red, infra-red, ultra-violet etc. Or seeing matter already formed with electrons, protons, neutrons. It’s all been put together to make it easy for us for us to comprehend the universe, but in the end all we see is the limited malchut world of illusion, a reflection of the truth instead of the Tree-of-life reality beyond limitations.

Any scientist will tell you that the atoms are 99.9% empty space, so how come we can’t see or pass right through them? A better question might be, who said we can’t?

In actuality, the letters and words exists on separate planes of existence, which is why gematria can analyze them separately and add to the whole, rather than detract from it, and it’s also why Rav Abraham Abulafia of blessed memory said Gematria is the highest form of Torah understanding.

Verses

As for the 5845 verses of Torah, they are 155 less than 6000 and 67 more than 5778, the year prophesied by Rav Ashlag, etc for the final redemption (geula) and the 3rd opening of the Tree-of-life reality in our world. While the 4 digits indicate the world of Binah (Imma) one dimension beneath Chochma (Abba), 6 again signifies the 6 dimensions of Zeir Anpin, and 67 is he numerical value of Binah (Imma), reiterating that connection.  And 155/6000 is .26%, with 26 being the numerical value of the YHVH, which on a whole is Zeir Anpin.

Therefore the verses of the Torah are in the dimension of Zeir Anpin of Imma (Binah).

4: Words: Yesod of Chochma

3: Verses: Zeir Anpin of Binah

Taken together all 3 elements in their separate superimposed dimensions (Letters, Words, and Verses) add up to exactly 58, 5 raised to the 8th power. Now that’s perfection not attainable from our limited perspective.

Nevertheless, There are two more major Torah elements, the 670 paragraphs and the 187 Chapters.

The 3 digits of the 670 paragraphs represent Da’at, the triple balancing point, or reservoir of knowledge between Chochma and Binah, and the place from where Zeir Anpin draws its shefa (life-force). And once again 67 is the numerical value of Binah; therefore the 670 paragraphs are in the dimension of Binah of Da’at, which is the level where Moses drew his energy and wisdom.

The 5th element, 187 chapters, breaks down to 120 + 67 with 67 once again being the numerical value of Binah, and 12o being the length of our generations, those from Moses on, for as the Torah says in Genesis 6:3 “God said, ‘My spirit will not continue to judge man forever, since he is nothing but flesh. His days shall be 120‘.”

In the 5th chapter, just prior to that, the 8th man (generation) in the lineage of Adam, Methuselah lived 187 before begetting Lemekh (LMC), whose name is a permutation for King(MLC), and whose life and lifespan hint to 5778. (See our post on Abraham and Jupiter.)

There are 26 generations delineated in the Torah, and they averaged 91 years each.  Then from Moses (the 26th generation) on, we and according to chazal, he, lived 120 years each generation. This gives us an average of exactly 107 years over 54 generations to 5778, since 5778 = 54 x 107.

Now the 67 chapters represent 35.8% of 187, and 358 is the numerical value of Moshiach, the Messiah, who is to be manifest in 5778 (2018 CE).

All that said, the 2 digits of  the 67 chapters are on the level of Zeir Anpin and 67 is Binah. Meanwhile the Arizal tells us that 120 represents the 120 permutations of the 5 letters in Elohim (ELHYM), the Name of G-d at the level of Malchut. Therefore, the 187 chapters stretch from Binah to Malchut, which is Zeir Anpin .

Thus the 5 dimensions of the Torah:

5:Letters: Zeir Anpin of Keter

4:Words: Yesod of Chochma

3:Verses: Zeir Anpin of Binah

2:Paragraphs: Binah of Da’at

1:Chapters: Zeir Anpin

And when we read he Torah, the table it sits on is Malchut, where we then see all 5 dimensions all together as One: Keter, Chochma, Binah, Da’at and Zeir Anpin brought down to our level.

Did you notice that the smaller the individual Torah element (the individual letters being the smallest and the chapters the greatest) the higher the sefirot (dimension) it connects to. It’s just like the tip of Yud in the YHVH. The adage less is more is very ancient.

5778(2018 CE) is almost here, isn’t it time we rise up to the Torah’s level and see its infinite multi-dimensional beauty.

When we are in sync with the luminous 5 dimensions of the Torah we are in another state of mind and being.  We go from viewing the world as 3-dimensional objects and 2-dimensional words on vellum to viewing it as a 4-dimensional hypercubes (Tesseracts). These have 32 edges, just like the 32 Paths of Wisdom that form the Tree-of-life, all of them connecting various wondrous gateways of limitlessness.

Moreover, those 80,000 words in Yesod of Chochma are divided into exactly 1024 word values, which is precisely 32 x 32, thus expanding the Torah’s dimensionality even further into a full 5-dimensional hypercube or Penteract. It has 32 vertices and 80 edges and 80 faces. The Zohar and sages of blessed memory say the Torah has 70 faces, and with the 10 sefirot there are 80, completing its 5th dimensionality.

The image is a little hard to fathom, but it’s only a projection, nothing like being able to access those dimensions.  everything we see in our world is nothing more than illusory projections of higher dimensions on the walls we’ve built up around us, and on the ceiling we’ve built for ourselves.

If you were to shine a flashlight above a cube onto the wall, you’d see a square. That’s what we’ve done to ourselves, accepted the square as the end-all.

And with 248 columns and 42 rows per column we add two more dimensions to the Torah dimensionality, two more aspects of Zeir Anpin, which when added to the words, letters, and verses in the Torah give us a total of 401273 Torah elements, which work out to exactly 248,000 X Phi, the primordial mathematical constant of value 1.61803399… that controls the natural spiraling growth in the universe, from the petals on a flower to the arms of the Milky Way.
