Tohu V’Bohu and the Messiah, H’Mashiach

Genesis 1:2 Tohu v’Bohu: “The world was empty and without form.” We know from Chazal that this refers to the 10 sefirot (dimensions) before the interconnectedness of the sefirot (in other words, order). Tohu represents the 10 sefirot (vessels) that were shattered, fell, and then scattered throughout our world, the world of Tikun, and these became the holy sparks that we must all help to gather in from the 70 nations of the world to bring Mashiach. Bohu represents the present 3-column schematic of the interconnected dimensions.

The 3 words that express this in the Torah, come after the 8th word (V’H’ERZ,”and the Earth”) in the Torah, and they represent the final transformed letters of the all-important 42-Letter Name of G-d connected to Creation and the Messiah.

The first of these three, H’YTH, has the value 420 as in 42 x 10 or the 42 Letters in the 10 dimensions (sefirot). And if we add the kolel (4) for the 4 letters of the word, we have 424, the value for Mashiach Ben David.  This is significant because the sum total of the sofit values of the 33 letters (8 words) preceding this 9th word, totals 5778, the year prophesied for the arrival of H‘Mashiach as is explained below.

From the middle of the 9th word, Ha’itah (HYTH) to the middle of the 10th word, Tohu (THV), we get the numerical value of 820, which is the value of the all-important (all encompassing) Torah verse for “Love they neighbor as thyself”

Then the six letters including the 3 of  Tohu (THV) and the first 3 of Bohu (VBHV) add up to 424, the value for Mashiach Ben David again.

While the full phrase Tohu v’Bohu has the numerical value of 430 as in the 430 years of exile between the Covenant of Abraham and the Exodus (also the reception of the Torah) as explained in depth in The Divine Calendar.

Moreover, the 5 letters between the final He of Ha’itah through Tohu to the Vav of V’Bohu add up to 422 as in the numerical value of the Hebrew word for 70, which as explained in The Divine Calendar connect to the fall of both Holy Temples in the years –422 BCE and 70 CE respectively and much more, including the 70 years of King David.

And by extention the 6 letters between the final He of Ha’itah through Tohu to the Bet of V’Bohu add up to 424 as in the numerical value of Mashiach Ben David yet again.

On interest to note is that the sum of the sofit values for the 33 letters through the 8th word of the Torah is 5743 and when we add 33 to it for the 33 letters and either the kolel of 1 or 2, we get either 5777 or 5778 respectively, the date prophesied for the arrival of Mashiach. Now, as discussed at length in The Genesis Prayer and as explained in Nothing is Random in the Universe, while the entire Torah is encoded and every letter is specifically set these first fer words and verses hold tremendous and deep power and meaning.  And while the sum of all the letter values in the first verse (7 words) add up to 2701, which just happened to be the sum of all the positive integers through 73, the value of Chochma (wisdom, the 2nd highest sefira), the total value of all 8 words is 3003, whihc happens to be the sum of the positive integers through 77, the value of the word Mazal (fortune/destiny/luck).

To see yet another glimpse of how these words/letters are structured to connect us with the underlying patters/order we see that the sum of the first letters of the first 8 words, representing the 28 letters before it is 28 and the sum of the first letters of the first 9 words, representing the 33 letters before it is 33.

King David and the Messiah

All the new wires are reporting a new archaeological find that will help verify the dates and importance of King David‘s reign. Talmudic scholars already have the dates and know the importance. The Divine Calendar helps explain exactly why Kind David and Solomon were born and died precisely when they did, along with most of the other  prominent  Biblical personages and events.

This excerpt from The Divine Calendar illustrates that point perfectly. There is no doubt to when King David lived or why:

Chapter 21

King David and the Messiah

It’s a Very Divine Plan

King David‘s Birth Marks Israel’s Statehood

he year when Israel was declared a State, 5708 HC, is exactly twice, the year that King David was born, or 2 x 2854 HC, and of course, King David is the David referred to in the title, Mashiach Ben David. Pause. With so many dates being hurled at you at the speed of the cosmos, it’s easy to miss very significant events and to pass them off casually. What we’re saying here is that the birth of King David marked the absolute midpoint from Adam (Creation) to the founding of the State of Israel, which only happened as a result of WW II, the Holocaust, guerrilla warfare, a few peoples’ dynamic persona, and a reluctant vote in spite of vehement Arab opposition by a fledgling United Nations. The Nation whose Flag carries the Magen David, the shield of David, officially became a state after thousands of years, on a date precisely double King David‘s birth year.

King David‘s Birth Marks Israel’s Statehood and Abraham’s Birth

Now, since these two dates aren’t linked in any way except divinely, how astonishing is it that 2854 HC is equivalent to 906 BCE and that 2854906 = 1948, the year Israel became a State in the Gregorian calendar. Let’s pause again. Adding those two dates gives us 3760; that happens automatically. There’s no magic there. Once 3760 HC was chose as year “0” or “1” the math will work like that for all the juxtaposed BCE dates. But subtracting them as we’ve just done; there’s no reason whatsoever that they should equate to anything other than pure chance. Now if we’d listed 200 different significant dates on our divine calendar then there would be a 1 in 20 chance of hitting one of them, but we didn’t. We only listed around 10 significant dates in total. And since the date 1948 was not only the year that Abraham was born in the Hebrew Calendar, but the matching Gregorian date to the one we’d just revealed in the equation just before it, the date Israel became a nation, the odds of this happening naturally are staggering. And the chance of any group of men organizing history to fall out this way is nil. There is only way this could happen.

And if all this isn’t sufficiently extraordinary, we must also consider that the year -906 BCE is exactly half of –1812 BCE, which once again is the year Abraham was born, but this time in the Gregorian calendar.

King David was born in 2854 HC

2 x 2854 HC = 5708 HC

Israel Received Statehood in 5708 HC

5708 HC = 1948 CE

2854 HC = 906 BCE

2854906 = 1948

2 x 906 BCE = 1812 BCE

1812 BCE = 1948 BCE

Abraham was born in 1948 BCE

King David‘s Birth and the 42 Letter Name

So it’s probably not a coincidence that 906 is the value of the seventh and final 6 letter sequence “שקו־צית” of the 42-letter Name of G-d, the line which according to the sages is specifically associated with [1]David.

Since, according to the sages of blessed memory, the 42-Letter Name (the Ana B’koach, also knows as the Genesis Prayer) is a ladder to the spiritual world and its 7 lines connecting to and representing the 7 lower sefirot (dimensions), when we factor in their 10 sub-dimensions per line, we see that the 42-Letter Name actually traverses 70 dimensions of time and space and spirit.

So taking all this into account, one may surely conclude that David‘s lifespan of 70 years and Abraham’s age at the time of his Covenant with G-d, also 70 years, are both part of a divine plan in which 70 is added to either 5708 HC and/or 1948 CE to get the year 5778 HC or 2018 CE, respectively, the year that their mutual descendant is predicted to become the Messiah.

King David‘s Life and Death Marked the Arrival of the Messiah

Another very potent way of looking at this is that when we add the year King David was born, 2854, with the year he died, 2924, we get 2854 + 2924 = 5778, the date prophesied by chazal for the Messiah. meaning that the coming of the Messiah, Mashiach Ben David, is completely marked by the life of King David from start to finish, and moreover that it also marks the midpoint from Adam to the Messiah.

King David was born in 2854

King David died in 2924

2854 + 2924 = 5778

King David‘s Life and Death Marked the G-d’s Covenant with Abraham

And if all that isn’t astonishing enough, the year King David was born, 906 BCE, when added to 836 BCE, the year he died, gives us 906 + 836 = 1742 BCE, which is the year the first exile began, the year of the Covenant of Abraham, 2018 HC.

King David was born in 906 BCE

King David died in 836 BCE

906 + 836 = 1742 BCE

1742 BCE = 2018 HC

King David‘s Life and Death Marked the Destruction of the Second Temple

Furthermore, if we take 906 BCE, the year King David was born in the Gregorian calendar, plus 2924, the year he died in the Hebrew calendar, we get 906 + 2924 = 3830, once and yet again the year the Second Temple was destroyed. And this destruction marked the beginning of the final exile, which is supposed to last 1948 years, the same amount of time the world had to wait for Abraham to come into it.

King David was born in 906 BCE

King David died in 2924 HC

906 + 2924 = 3830 HC

The Second Temple was Destroyed in 3830 HC

[1] David represent the 7th sefirah of Malchut.

article excerpted from the NY Times, Oct 30, 2008

“KHIRBET QEIYAFA, Israel — Overlooking the verdant Valley of Elah, where the Bible says David toppled Goliath, archaeologists are unearthing a 3,000-year-old fortified city that could reshape views of the period when David ruled over the Israelites.

The 10th century B.C. is the most controversial period in biblical archaeology because it is then, according to the Old Testament, that David united the kingdoms of Judah and Israel, setting the stage for his son Solomon to build his great temple and rule over a vast area from the Nile to the Euphrates Rivers.

For many Jews and Christians, even those who do not take Scripture literally, the Bible is a vital historical source. And for the state of Israel, which considers itself to be a reclamation of the state begun by David, evidence of the biblical account has huge symbolic value. The Foreign Ministry’s Web site, for example, presents the kingdom of David and Solomon along with a map of it as a matter of fact.

But the archaeological record of that kingdom is exceedingly sparse — in fact almost nonexistent — and a number of scholars today argue that the kingdom was largely a myth created some centuries later. A great power, they note, would have left traces of cities and activity, and been mentioned by those around it. Yet in this area nothing like that has turned up — at least until now.

Mr. Garfinkel says he has something here that generations have been seeking. He has made two informal presentations in the past month to fellow archaeologists. On Thursday he will give his first formal lecture at a conference in Jerusalem.

What he has found so far has impressed many. Two burned olive pits found at the site have been tested for carbon-14 at Oxford University and were found to date from between 1050 and 970 B.C., exactly when most chronologies place David as king.”

Israel and Abraham

The year Israel became a nation, 1948 CE, has much significance as detailed in The Divine Calender but when we add the numerical value for Israel, 541 to 1948, we get 1948 + 541 = 2489, which is 2480 + 9. The Names of the Five Books of Moses (Bereshit, Shmot, Vayikra, B’midbar, and Devarim) add up to 2480, which in itself is 10 x 248, the numerical value of Abraham, which is interesting because Abraham was born in 1948 HC and 541 years later, was 2489 HC, the year after Moses died in 2488.
As spelled out in The Genesis Prayer, 9 is a very significant number, not just because it represents Chochma, the 9th Sefira, etc, but because when we divide the number 9 by small gematria version of the 42 letter name, we get 9/.123049027395… = 73.1415777 or extremely accurately, 70 + Pi and since 73 is the value for Chochma, and there are 70 nations in the world according to the Zohar, etc and Pi is integrally connected with the Torah’s first verse it’s very fitting.
Now while 5777-5778 is the year prophesied for the arrival of Mashiach, the final letters of each of the 7 lines of the 42-Letter Name add up to 2480.

Isaac Luria = Moshe = Ehyeh = the highest level

How are Moses and the Arizal related? What is their essence? And what level were they at?

The 3 letters of Moshe Rabbeinu, Moses’ name, is spelled (MShH) and when it is spelled out it is MM ShYN HY which has a numerical value of (80 + 360 + 15) = 455 which is the same numerical value of Isaac Luria, the Arizal’s actual name. This value, 455, just so happens to be the same as the 3 aspects of Eyheh, the higher Name of G-d, together, which are respectively 161. 151, and 143 and used extensively in his divine calculations. It also is the hidden meaning in Meah Shanah, 100 years, from Bereshit 23:1 in describing Sarah’s life, of which we’ve previously;y connected to Moshe, the Ari, David H’Melech and the Messiah, H’Mashiach in several other posts. Shanah has the numerical value of 355 and when we add the 100 for Meah, we get 455. And since 100 represents Keter, crown, the highest level, just as Ehyeh is the highest Name, 455 signifies a high point.

Now, speaking of 100, the Arizal likes to expand the value of yud (10) especially when it is in the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) to 100 to reflect the fuller 10 sub-sefirot (dimensions) within each sefira. In teh case of the 3rd aspect of the Tetragrammaton, the one that reflects the bundled 6 dimensions of Zeir Anpin (YVD HE VEV HE) there are 3 alefs, and the Ari connects these to the 3 expanded Ehyehs mentioned above that each begin with the letter Alef. Since the numerical value of the spelled-out alef is 111, the 3 alefs collectively have a value of 333, and if we use the expanded value of 100 for the letter yud and add teh two letter heys and the two vavs we get (333 + 100 + 5 + 6 + 6 + 5 = 455). Note that the vav-dalet (value 10) of the letter spelled-out yud get folded in, as Y (10) x VD (10) = 100.

And the three alefs are reflected again in the Name Ehyeh Esher Ehyeh, “I am that I am” which reflects the upper 42 letters of the name of G-d. And with the 3 alefs as One, it has the numerical value of 541, that of Israel.

And to be sure, when we separate out the 3 alefs, the rest of the letters in the name (YVD HE VEV HE) sum to 42.

Now, the repetition of 3‘s is no coincidence here and we find in Moses’ name’s value that 345 = 115 x 3 and that 115 is the value of the word strength, hazak, which we recite 3 times at the close of every Torah Book, which is not only a connection to Moshe, but to the Messiah, H’Mashiach, an embodiment of Moses, as there are 115 jubilee (50 year interval) years up to the generation of 5778 when it’s been prophesied that Mashiach will come.

Thus we see that the Ari is an incarnation of Moses and that they carry in their essence the full name of G-d Ehyeh and use it to draw strength to Israel until the time of H’Mashiach.
