Why 2018? Ask Jacob!

In Torah portion, Vayetzei, Jacob weds two wives. The Arizal explains that while Jacob coupled with Rachel, it was Israel (Jacob’s second appellation) who coupled with Leah, with important consequences for us today.

Every story in the Bible has a key hidden purpose, an energy to reveal and a pathway to follow beyond cloaked gateways that need opening.  In one such story, Jacob received his new name (Israel) when he defeated the angel of darkness at the Jabbok River, jacob2bwrestling2bwith2bthe2bangel2bof2bgodand it was this defeated demon who then gave Jacob a new name, which slyly insinuated his own name into Jacob’s.  You see, the Biblical Names are really sources and gateways to specific available cosmic energy.  And like all energy, they are codified by values or  numbers. Jacob has a numerical value of (182), which means little to us on its own, but when his name was changed to Israel, of numerical value (541), the value and thus the name Satan (359) was inserted: 182 + 359 = 541.

This inclusion became part of the rectification process, whereby the Israelites were charged with overcoming their own satan, their selfish desire for the self alone.

It’s only through selfless thoughts and actions, a selfless love of others, that we can rectify our world in order to bring Moshiach. This is why the place in the Jabbok River (MABR YBK) where the dark angel was defeated and Jacob given his new name has the numerical value 424, which is the same as Moshiach Ben David. Israel took on a great responsibility; Moshiach Ben David will be our reward for waging this war and for overcoming our selfless desires.

Sometimes the gates and paths are hidden within the stories; sometimes they are hidden within a single verse. Either way, if we look beyond the narrative and even beyond the words, to the letters and their energies, as Abraham instructed us 3700 years ago, we find those paths illuminated for us.

Tel Be'er ShevaThe portion, VaYetze starts off with the verse Genesis 28:10 “Jacob left Beer-sheba and headed toward Charan” “VYZE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH.” The first and last letters in the verse are VH, representing the last two letters of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH), kabbalistically symbolizing the union of the 7 sefirot (dimensions) of Zeir Anpin and Malchut, as in the words “Heaven and Earth” within the 7 words (28 Letters) of the Torah’s very first verse.  As we’ll discuss shortly, it also represents Be’er Sheva, the well of seven (7).

That this verse is chapter 28 is telling because it references the 28 letters of the Torah’s first genesis prayer coververse and is the numerical value of the Hebrew word for power Koach(CCh), both of which are integrally connected with the 42-Letter Name, but more about that later. This connection to the word Koach (CCh) is strengthened because we find it hidden within the verse itself: “VYZE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH.”

Zeir Anpin is the bundle of the 6 dimensions, or sefirot, which process the inaccessible light of the 3 upper dimensions and channel it on down to us, so it’s no coincidence that this verse begins with the letter Vav(V) of numerical value 6 and that there are 6 words in the verse.  Interestingly enough, within the 6-word verse we can spell out the names  of all the Patriarchs and Matriarchs: Abraham (EBRHM), Isaac (YZChK), Jacob (YAKB) and Israel (YShREL) and also Rachel (RChL), Leah(LEH), Sarah(ShRH) and Rivka(RBKH).

Toward the end of the verse, we find the name Rachel (RChL) spelled out backwards.

VYZE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH.”

Included within it is an extraneous letter Caf (C) spelling out the Hebrew word kol (CL),

“VYZE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH.”

meaning “everything,” and which the Kabbalists tell us stands for the sefira of Yesod, the dimension personified by Joseph the righteous, which is the level just above ours, Malchut, personified by Rachel.  This would metaphorically place Joseph (Yesod) within the verse at the place of Rachel’s womb, which appropriately enough is the level of the feminine Yesod.

Also within the verse is the the name Shiloh (ShYLH), spelled out over the last 3 words: “VYZE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH, which we know from the Arizal, represents The Divine Calendarthe Moshiach and has the numerical value of Moses, because Moshiach is an incarnation of Moses. He further states that Moses/Moshiach will be in every generation, but will only be fully manifest as the redeemer when the appointed time is reached.

From Rav Ashlag and others we know that the appointed time is the Hebrew year 5778, thus it’s very apropos that Joseph was born in the year 2198 HC, exactly 3580 years prior to 5778.  Numbers just represent the energy values of the gateways they’re attached to and the numerical value of Moshiach is 358, so as per prophecy Moshiach was preordained to come 10 x 358 years after Joseph was born. In Kabbalah, 10 always represents the compete 10 sefirot (dimensions) of the Tree-of-life, which is also why this special verse we’re discussing is Genesis 28:10, the 10th verse of chapter 28.

Joseph born in 2198HC  + 3580 years = 5778

3580 = 10 x 358 years later = Moshiach Consciousness throughout the Tree-of-life

Joseph to Moshiach Ben Joseph

There are two Moshiachs (Messiahs) according to the sages, two extremely high levels of consciousness: Moshiach Ben Joseph and and Moshiach Ben David, derived from Joseph and King David respectively. While the midpoint of King David’s life (2889 HC) is exactly halfway (5778/2=2889) from Adam to the year 5778,  Joseph was born precisely 3580 years before 5778. The 3580 year period can be seen as the fuller gestation period for Moshiach consciousness to permeate all 10 sefirot.

King David’s midpoint in his 70 year life = 2889HC

2889 HC + 2889 years = 5778 HC

King David to Moshiach Ben David

Furthermore, just as Kind David marked the halfway point to Moshiach, Joseph’s birth, marked the halfway point to the Exodus from Egypt and the Revelation of the Torah at Sinai in 2448 HC, that is, halfway from the birth of Abraham in 1948: 2448 -2198 = 250 years and 2198 – 1948 = 250 years yet again.  And just so we’re clear, the energy that brought about Abraham’s birth in 1948 HC, also brought about the birth of the state of Israel in 1948 CE, to begin the final 70 year process and fulfill in 2018 CE, the Covenant of Halves that G-d made with Abraham in 2018 HC. Please note that the Torah made sure we’d understand that the Covenant was also about Halves (halfway points).

Covenant of Halves made in 2018 HC

Abraham born in 1948 HC

Abraham to Exodus = 500 years; Joseph born halfway in 2198 HC

Adam t0 Moshiach = 5778 years; David marks halfway point in 2889 HC

1948 CE Israel becomes a State

2018 CE = 5778; Covenant gets fulfilled, 3760 years later.

3760 = 10 x Shalom (peace)

Peace throughout the Tree-of-life

Leah and Rachel

Leah coupled with Israel. Leah (LEH) has the numerical value or energy equivalent of 36, as in 36 tzaddikim necessary to sustain the world.  Israel (YShREL), as we’ve shown, has the numerical value 541. When joined together, 36 + 541 = 577, as in 5778. Or even 577 plus the 8 sons Leah gave to Israel: 5778 . We should note that 2 of those son’s were born to Leah’s handmaiden, which means that when Leah coupled with Jacob, 6 boys and, then parallel to  Zeir Anpin and Malchut, 1 girl (Dinah) was born–once again the Torah showing us order and illustrating the energy systems for us, rather then just a delineation of names as some might interpret it.

Leah + Israel → 8 sons

36 + 541 = 577(8)

Jacob’s two wives had very different roles to play in establishing our world. Leah was married to Israel first and gave backbone to the 7 sefirot and the unification of the upper and lower worlds, while Rachel’s gave rise to Joseph and the sefirot of Yesod, finishing the process Leah began. Rachel’s role as the ultimate malchut will be fulfilled in these final days, those leading to 5778.

Rachel coupled with Jacob. Rachel (RChL) and Jacob’s (YAKB) numerical values respectively are 238 + 182, which add up to 420, which is 10 x 42. With the kolel it could also represent 422, the numerical value of  seventy (70), as in the 70 years from the birth of the nation of Israel until the promised date of Moshiach (the messiah) in 5778.  It is, though, certainly the 42-Letter Name of G-d times the 10 sefirot of the Tree-of-life.

The 42-Letter Name is derived from the Torah’s first verse and is not only G-d’s first gift to us, but is also the most powerful. The Arizal tells us that all our prayers elevate through it, and Rav Brandwein of blessed memory further states that it is through the understanding of the 42-letter Name that the geulah (final redemption) will come about.

Rachel and Jacob begot Joseph

238 + 182 = 420

420 = 42 Letter Name throughout the Tree-of-Life

Joseph + 358 throughout the Tree-of-Life = 5778

The 42 Letter Name throughout the Tree-of-Life  Moshiach in 5778

It Began with Abraham

While the names Leah and Jacob add up to 420, it is by a similar energy source that Moses was born 420 after Abraham. And it’s no coincidence that Jacob was born 260, or 10 times the value of the Tetragrammaton (26) years after Abraham too, or that Moses was the 26th forefather in the lineage of Adam.  On another note, Abraham, who was born in 1948HC and thus aligned with the birth of the State of Israel in 1948 CE, was thus born 3830 years before the Moshiach event in 5778, and this is aligned with the destruction of the Second Holy Temple in 3830 HC.

Rachel and Jacob = 420

Moses was born 420 after Abraham

Jacob was born 260 years after Abraham

Abraham was born 3830 years before Moshiach in 5778

The Second Holy Temple was destroyed in 3830HC

Between them, Leah (LEH) and Rachel (RChL) are the mothers of the 12 tribes so it’s most fitting that the tree10sum of the spelling out of their two names equals  1200, or 12 x 100 (keter), the highest dimension. 100 also represents the filling in of the complete 10 sefirot by 10 subsefirot each.

Leah and Rachel → 12 Tribes

Leah + Rachel (spelled out) = 1200

1200 = 12 tribes throughout the Tree-of-life

All that said, how fitting is it that when we spell out and sum up the gematria values in the name Jacob (YVD AYN KVP BYT) we get 2018, the Western calendar equivalent of 5778!

Jacob = 2018 = 5778

Israel, on the other hand, when spelled out has a numerical value of 2445 plus 5 for the kolel equals 2450, which equals 49 jubilee years from the birth of Adam.  This date 2450 coincides with the time the Israelites received the Torah and did their 42 journeys through the wilderness. The precise date was 2448, but the Torah details 2 more years of travails through the desert. As for the missing 38 years of the well known sentence of 40 years in the wilderness, we’ll soon deal with the commutation of that sentence in a separate article.

Both the Arizal and the Zohar in their discussions of this Torah portion emphasize the 50-year period called the jubilee year, which incorporates 7 x 7 sabbatical years, thus the name Israel equaling 49 x 50 or 2450 is quite significant.  Now, they both further make the point that the Torah explicitly states that Jacob hated Leah and loved Rachel.  Their point was more about the juxtaposition of Leah above Rachel, 2/3 (.666) of the way up the back of Jacob, representing Zeir Anpin, and drawing her light from Da’at, but that’s more advanced, complicated, and a whole other chapter. Nevertheless. it’s important to note that from 2448 (the 49th jubilee year) to 5778, there are exactly 66.6 jubilee years: 2448 + 3330 (or 66.6 x 50) = 5778.

Israel (spelled out) → 2448

Exodus and Torah Reception at Sinai in 2448 HC

Jubilee year = 50 years

2448 + 66.6 jubilee years = 5778.

Jacob hating Leah was reversed when the Torah tells us that Leah’s sons hated Joseph, but this wasn’t the end of that tikkun, not by a long shot.  It takes many reincarnations to work hatred out from a soul. Imagine what it is going to take to wipe it out of our collective soul!

This hatred, unfortunately, helped thwart the first opportunity to achieve the tree-of-life consciousness in 2448; the final one in 5778 must be guided by love.

Back to the Verse

VYZE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH.”

The verse begins with the letter vav (V) of numerical value 6, as do 60% of the verses in the Torah and is followed by the letter Yud(Y), as do many verses in the Torah.  Since VY spelled out (VYV-YVD) has the numerical value of 42, all those (VY) Torah verses are imbibed with the extraordinary power to elevate, a primary attribute of the 42-Letter Name.  Again, it’s gateways and energetic connections; like the circuits in your cell phone, they work whether you see or understand them, or not.

This hidden (VY) circuitry imparts an underlying technology to the verses, making them relevant to us today beyond their narrative content. But this verse in particular begins with Vayetze (VYZE), which has the numerical value 107, as in the integers from 1 – 107 that sum to 5778. It’s the same connection that we find at the beginning of the 10 Commandments.  Then the very next word is Jacob (YAKB), which when spelled out, Jacob has the numerical value of 2018, which is 5778 in the Hebrew calendar. And then Jacob is immediate followed by MB, as in the Shem MB, the 42-letter Name, the understanding of which, is supposed to bring about the final redemption at the appointed time.

First 10 Letters:

Vayetze, Jacob, MB

Vayetze = 107 → 5778; Jacob → 2018; MB → 42 Letter Name

While the 6 initials of the verse”VYZE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC” add up to 363 (with the kolel of 1), which significantly is the numerical value of H’Moshiach (the messiah), Rav Brandwein of blessed memory explained that it’s the final letters of a Torah phrase that point to the future, and the sum of the 6 final letters (VYZE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH) in this verse, representing the 6 millennium, add up to 778, as in the year 5778 (2018 CE).

6 Initials = 363 = H’Moshiach (The Messiah)

6 Final Letters = 778 → 5778

What’s in a Name?

Of those six final letters, the first three  (“VYZE YAKB MBER“) are EBR, as in EBRHM (Abraham), and as in the Torah’s first 3 letters (BRE). They also spell Ber, well, as in the well at Be’er Sheba. Be’er Sheva is mentioned 10 times in the Torah, indicating its connection to the tree-of-life through the 10 sefirot (dimensions). Note too that the Hebrew letters (Bet-Resh-Alef) BRE are also contained within the first two right hand triplets of the abgytz42- Letter Name matrix. The other 3 Hebrew letters Koof-Ayin and Gimmel (KAG) of those two triplets add up to 173, the small gematria value of the full 42-Letter Name. The Torah’s first word is Bereshit (BREShYT), or BRE – ShYT.  And utilizing the first 4 triplets of the 42-Letter Name matrix we can symmetrically spell out both EBR and ShYT, sitting like angle irons or bookends facing one another. They easily permute to  BRE – ShYT, and wedged right between them is Ayin-Gimmel (AG) one on top of the other.  Ayin-Gimmel (AG) has the energy and numerical value 73, which is that of the sefira of Chochma (Wisdom). It too represents the Torah’s first verse, as the total gematria value of that verse is equal to the sum of all the integers from 1 to 73.

genesis prayer coverAnd if you think this alignment is just coincidental, please note that while the Ana B’koach’s first line (first 2 triplets EBG YTZ) add up to 506, which is the numerical value of “unconditional love,” and also the complete value of “Moshiach Ben David,” there are exactly 506 occurrences of the 14 individual triplets of the Ana B’koach within the Torah. So while the CPU of the 42-Letter Name is found in the Torah’s first verse, it’s wiring extends throughout the entire Torah.

And why is this important? Because it is through the understanding of the 42-Letter Name that we’ll be able to bring about Moshiach consciousness and the final redemption.

Be’er Sheva

While the tree-of-life is based on 10 dimensions, much like our base-10 mathematics, many of our cycles of time and rhythms in our physical world are constructed of cycles of 7, representing the lower 7 sefirot.  It’s for this reason the Torah’s first verse is 7 words long and 4 x 7 or 28 letters long, a connection to Ecclesiastes 28 times.

And so, Joseph was not only born 358 x 10 years before Moshiach, but 7 x 314 years after Adam, in 2198 HC.  There’s Nothing Random about 7 x 314, or 314 being recognizable as Pi, the mathematical constant that gives shape to physicality, but the energy behind 314 also gives rise to the archangel Metatron, whose name has the numerical value 314.

But while the name Joseph has a value of 156 or 6 x 26, the numerical value of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH), reflecting his connection to Zeir Anpin (6), it is Jacob’s name whose value (182) is a full 7 x 26. And so it’s fitting that this portion began with Jacob at  Be’er Sheva, “the Well of 7.” As a well, Be’er Sheva, a vessel, is the female aspect of Yesod, whereas Jacob, Zeir Anpin personified, is of the male aspect.

Be’er Sheva will play a significant roll in the upwelling of Moshiach consciousness within anabkoach160-ksthe next 4 years and we’ll get into that in the 4th and concluding part of our series on the year 5774 and its meaning.  Know this though, Be’er Sheva, the well of 7 levels is also the  Shem MB, also known as the Ana B’koach or the 42-Letter Name. The 42-Letter Name, as we saw above, is built on a matrix of 7 levels that are aligned with and serve to help unify Zeir Anpin and Malchut.  Each level expands through the 6 extremities (branched out directions) that are represented by the 6 letters per line.

The Rav once explained to me that when we fantasize we create bubbles in our reality and as they collapse, they can trip us up. If we dig mental wells in our world by fantasying, making unfulfilled promises and wistful desires, they will be filled up by negative entities and no good will come of that. This is why we fill our kiddish cups to overflowing, leaving no room for negativity.  Nevertheless, if we immediately start filling our wells with positive actions and use the Ana B’koach as a spiritual fountain of ma’im nukva, (feminine waters) created by our spiritual intentions and actions, we’ll draw down the positive spiritual light from above that will fill our wells abundantly.

Back to the Verse

As we said earlier, the spelled out combination of the letters Vav and Yud equals 42, and thus the 6 words are represented by the letter(Vav) of numerical value 6 and the 10th verse, represented by the letter Yud (10), forming the combination VY are another connection to the energy of teh 42-Letter Name and this verse (Genesis 28:10).

The 5th word in this, the 10th verse of chapter 28 is (VYLC), which like the first word in torahthe verse, starts with (VY).  This word has the significant numerical energy level of 546, the same value as the sum of the 10 initials of the 10 sefirot, the tree-of-life.  Moreover, as Rabbi Chaim Vital of blessed memory points out, the 5 letters of Israel (541) when the kolel for the 5 letters is included is also 546.  Furthermore, 546 is the number of times the name Israel appears in the Torah without any prefixes.  Besides taking the energy of this verse to a whole new level, it also serves to illustrate how the Torah is integrally wired to bring us, Israel, into the tree-of-life reality, and also how much love and technology can be found in a single verse, indeed, in a single word of Torah.

Therefore, within this very special verse, we find the name Israel concealed. And since that same 5th word (VYLC) contains the word CL (all), it actually represents Kol Israel (All Israel), which are the last two words of the entire Torah. This makes sense, as the Torah is circular in nature with the last verse connected to the first and we even read it that way,

Above the Well

As we said, Jacob (YVD AYN KVP BYT) spelled out gives us exactly 2018; nevertheless, the central letters of Jacob’s name spell out VYVY,which is even more interesting because the verse VYZE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH” also contains VY – VY twice. Given the energy of VY spelled out being that of 42, finding it twice in this verse is special; anabkoach160-ksnevertheless, this verse VYZE YAKB MBER ShBA VYLC ChRNH” also contains two AB (Ayin-Bet or 72), representing the energy of the 72 Names. Collectively, this means that with the MB (42) in the third word of the verse, this simple 6 word verse pulses with and reverberates back and forth between the 42-Letter Name, then the 72 Names, then the 42-Letter Name, then the 72 Names again, and finally the 42-Letter Name yet again.

As will be explained below by R’ Chaim Vital, the 42-Letter Name has its root in the letter Yud (10), and moreover that given that the 216 letters in the 72 Names are 6 x 6 x 6 = 216, they have their roots in the letter Vav (6).  Thus the sequence of 42 – 72 -42 -72 -42 illustrated above can be seen on the root level as Y-V-Y-V-Y, the significance of which we’re about to tackle.

Furthermore, VYVY has the numerical value of 32, symbolizing the 32 Paths of the Tree-of-life and it also has the numerical spelled-out value of 84, PD, redemption, but the 28, as in Chapter 28 verse 10, may indicate something more profound, as 28 is also the numerical value of Yichud (unification), as in unification of the Names.

The second thing we notice about VYVY is that compared to the Tetragrammaton(YHVH), the famous ineffable Name associated with Zeir Anpin, there is no feminine aspect, no repository vessel to receive the flow of energy, neither the upper He (H) of Binah, nor the lower He (H) of Malchut in VYVY.

The value 32 also connects to the 32 Elohim in Creation (Genesis), but these are within the letter He (H) of Understanding (within YHVH) and it’s absent in VYVY. Since according to the kabbalists, all that exists is rooted in the letter He(H), then what we’re dealing with in the sequence VYVY must be spiritual in nature, not physical.

Grounding the verse above is Be’er Sheva, the well, the 7th well, malchut, the place of feminine waters, but in this verse Jacob was told to leave leave there, which tells us he was going on a spiritual journey. Be’er Sheva represents the missing letter (H) as does the final letter in the verse, He(H) itself.

alef two vavsThe appellation VYVY is big secret. To form the primordial Alef, whose components are Y-V-V-Y the first VY would need to be reversed, which is exactly what needs to be done to restore the normal order of things.  Vav represents Man and Yud represents G-d in the aspect of Chochma (wisdom).  The process that is Zeir Anpin is the way we process existence: we intellectualize it, then rationalize it, then emotionalize it and only then do we determine whether G-d has a presence in our lives.  The natural order, and the order that needs to be restored to merit Moshiach consciousness, is for us to put G-d first, acknowledging His existence with awe and fear and then contemplating our place within that existence. That is what the patriarchs did, that is why Jacob left Be’er Sheva for Haran, and that is how we restore the VY to the proper order (YV).

Now, here is a far deeper understanding. In his book New Writings, Rabbi Chaim Vital of KtavimChadashim-sblessed memory goes beyond the normal understanding and explains that the tree-of-life is composed of both the 32 Paths of Wisdom and the 10 sefirot (dimensions), aligning it with the energy of the number 42 and the 42-Letter Name, more so than the more commonly understood, number 32.

alef two vavsThe primordial alef is comprised of the upper and lower Yuds(Y) split diagonally by the straight letter Vav(V), which the Arizal separates into 2 letter Vavs(VV) since the letter vav can be spelled that way. In a higher aspect, that of Chochma, it should be spelled with a Yud(Y) in the middle of the 2 Vavs (VYV). If we do that we’d be adding the 10 sefirot to the 32 Paths of Wisdom, raising the value of the primordial Alef to 42.

This is no small matter

“There are 10 lights in Wisdom. With the 32 roads and its paths that guard her, it makes 42 (MB)…corresponding to the 42 Letters of the Name….They guard the 32 roads of Wisdom we mentioned…Behold, from these 32 roads spread all the behaviors of the world from the highest point to the lowest one. They include all existence…”

-Rabbi Chaim Vital

yud

alef two vavs

Alef: Y-V-Y-V-Y

The Arizal often counted the Yuds as 100’s instead of 10’s as they included their 10 sub-sefirot each, thus the numerical value of Y-V-Y-V-Y becomes 312, as in the measurement of the outer courtyard of the Future Holy Temple. So the Alef becomes the schematic for the Future Holy Temple–B”H to be built shortly–whose innermost alter measures 32 cubits, and whose inner courtyard measures 100 cubits (Yud expanded) and whose outer courtyard measures 312 (Alef complex) cubits. Regarding the Alter of 32 cubits, the inner Yud (between the vavs) can be thought of as 32 because as R’ Chaim Vital explains the 32 paths of Wisdom are rooted in the lower tittle of Yud.

It just dawned on me that 32 + 100 + 312 = 444, as in the 13 leaps of 444 years that equal 5778, and as Rav Ashlag explained to me, 444/22 building blocks = 20.18. So why Jacob and 2018?

In order for us to achieve Moshiach consciousness when the window of opportunity opens in 2018, Jacob, representing Zeir Anpin must be fully rectified, that means all 70 sefirot of Zeir Anpin must be fully rectified from the beginning to the bottom of the well when the final 70 years are up in 2018.  Our entire existence in this world has been all about rectifying the sefirot through our actions, mitzvot, thoughts and speech. According to the Arizal, Leah represents the thoughts and Rachel, speech.

This article started out as an observation during the Torah reading and became a journey of revelation, but it should end for all of us in a new dawn in 2018 (5778). We must all do our part in rectifying through love the final hidden holy sparks. Tu B’shvat is upon us–the perfect opportunity to connect to the Tree-of-life reality.

Chanukah: 8 Days Designed to Bring Moshiach and Light Up the 70 Nations.

Chanukah: Eight days of Miracles Designed to Bring Mashiach

dreidelThis year more than ever, we must connect with all the cosmic windows. And it can be as simple as a child’s dreidel, or the chocolate gelt. Four sides corresponding to the Tetragrammaton (YHVH), but 4 sides engraved with the Hebrew Letters G, H, N, and Sh. Four letters whose numerical value add to to 358, that of Mashiach, the Messiah.

From the games we play to candles we light, the entire 4 dreidelsChanukah event is designed to help us bring Moshiach. And that’s where our consciousness should be. The eight days are a cosmic event, not a celebration of a miracle that happened because it occurred during this cosmic event. The light we ignite each night are to connect us to the special light of miracles available to us once a year for 8 days staring every 25th of Kislev (Sagittarius). It’s different light/energy than what’s available to us in the 8 days of Sukkot-Shemini Atzeret; and it’s different from the light available to us during the 8 days of Pesach (Passover); and it’s different from the energy available to us on the 8 other holidays throughout the year. In total there are 32 days of varying special Light/energy (besides the special light of Shabbat). These 32 days connects to the 32 Paths of Wisdom of the Tree-of-Life, through which these various lights shine unto us.

The oil lasted 8 days because the Light of Chanukah, Mashiach Light, lasted 8 days, not cosmic window 2the other way around. As soon as the special Light of Moshiach (Or Ganuz) was revealed into our existence, it was hidden. I learned from my teacher that on the first Shabbat of Creation, it was brought out for 32 hours then hidden away for the time of the Messiah. But for 8 days every year we can taste of the Light.

The letters of Mashiach (MShYCh) spell out Madlikim Shmona Yemei Chanukah (“lighting up eight days of Chanukah.”)

Chanukah Meditations

How to Count the 8 Days

As tasty as the jelly donuts are, the purpose of Channukah is not the joy of the celebration, but the joy of bringing Moshiach.

Even the books of the Maccabees dates the first war as 3585 HC, which coincides with the numerical value of Moshiach, which is 358.  The fight was for liberation, and so is ours today, liberating ourselves from the clutches of physicality.

One of the key elements of Chanukah is based on the spiritual tenet that nothing can ever chanukiah all litbe lost; once it goes from a latent(potential) state to physical one it’s forever present in the universe, whether we can physically see it or not. So the light of the first night, is added to the second and so forth until the 8th day when we have the light of 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8 = 36 days of light.

That explained, we can note that the sum of all the Torah occurrences of the words “first” through “eighth”—echad, sheni, shlishi, reve’i, chamishi, shishi, sheve’I, and shemeni—is (189+125+2+2+2+2+0+0) = 322 and since the sum of days (numbers) 1-8 representing all the summary Chanukah lights for the 8 days is 36 , and (322 + 36) = 358, the value of Moshiach yet again. And while 36 is just the result of rounding off the numerical term 35.8, the number 36 to the kabbalists represents the lamed-vav tzaddikim, or 36 righteous souls necessary at all times to maintain our existence in the universe.

The 44 Candles Sweeten the Judgment

How to count the candles

On a simple level, over the 8 nights, we’re lighting 44 candles in total including the shamesh every night, these corresponding to the ordinal value of the letters in Chanukah (ChNVCH), which is 44. It also corresponds to first letters of all 10 plagues, which also add up to 44. So you can see the power to create miracles is built into every aspect of these 8 days.

Moreover, the first plague was blood, dam, also of numerical value 44, and as the Arizal explains “the word “m’damei“, whose numerical value (89) equals that of the word “Chanukah“, is rooted in the letters dalet and mem, which spell the Hebrew word for “blood.” Blood represents the negative powers of judgment; our mission it is to sweeten that judgement and the lighting of the 44 candles are designed to help us. They nullify the kelipot before us.”

With every candle we light, we can sweeten the judgment in out lives and in the world.

As we’ll explore within the blessings, the 44 candles connect first and foremost to the regressive spelling of the higher name of G-d, Ehyeh, whose numerical value is 44, thus connecting us to Chochma and Binah;

EHYH

(E – EH – EHY – EHYH)

Counting Candles:

If our actions of lighting the chanukiya each night rekindle the energy from the night before and culminate in completeness on Zot Chanukah (the final night) then: On the 1st night we light 1 candle and it stays lit metaphysically for (at least) 8 days; and on the second night we light 2 candles that stay lit, we have a total of 3 lit (rekindled) that second night. On the 3rd night we are lighting (rekindling) 1 + 2 + 3 or a total of six; and so on, until we have 1 + 3 + 6 + 10 + 15 + 21 + 28 + 36 = 120, a familiar mathematical progression that seems to be oft used in the deeper meditations and connections of the Torah, and that we first learned about from Abraham in the Sefer Yetzirah, The Book of Formation.

geltIn the same way, the Shamesh would be 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 = 36. Thus 120 + 36 = 156 candles would be metaphysically lit, and 156 = 6 X 26 with 26 being the numerical value of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH). Moreover, the Arizal explains that 78 is the value of mazal (fortune), an integral part of the lighting meditations as will be explained below, and 156 = 2 X 78.

The Arizal further explains that the eight days of Chanukah are, or end up, at the level of latkas2hod, the same as a brit whose 8 days expire at hod before the brit can be performed at the level of yesod. Well, considering this, it’s noteworthy that if we assume that all our candles/oil last for 8 days, then in total, we are lighting 120 lights (which would correspond to the 120 permutations of Elohim) and the 120 years of Moses, whose soul is part and parcel with that of Moshiach in every generation. Then if we add the 36 lights for the 8 Shamesh (helper candle) that we light, totals 156, the numerical value for Yosef, who represents the level of Yesod. It’s also the value of Zion. And Yosef was born in 2198 HC, exactly 3580 years before the year 5778, when Moshiach (numerical value 358) is supposed to be manifest in our world.

The Blessings

The Ignition to all the Blessings

jelly donuts2When we start the blessing with the word Baruch, we need to keep in mind that it has the numerical sofit value of 708, which is the same as that of the 42 letters of the upper Mem-Bet, which is the ineffable Name YHVH spelled out through 3 iterations. This is no coincidence as it is from this Name that the blessings flow downward through the 6 levels (dimensions) of zeir anpin and into our world. It is also for this reason that the first gate from the Holy of Holies into our world has the dimensions 6 x 7 (the Gate of 42):

L’hadleek Ner Chanukah

Now regarding the Chanukah blessings on the words L’hadleek Ner Chanukah and the kavanot that we’ve learned from the Arizal, the 3 first letters Lamed, Nun and Chet, spell out in small gematria, 3,5,8 or 358, Mashiach.

The initials in L’hadleek Ner Chanukah (to light the Chanukah candle) spell the word Cosmic_RiverNachal (a holy Name that means stream or river, and also inheritance) and it has a numerical value of 88, which when aided by a kolel of 1 = 89, that of Chanukah itself.

Nevertheless, the concept of a stream is very important because by lighting the candles with the right consciousness we’re opening a stream of light (the energy of sustenance or shefa) from above into our lives and world. And the inheritance is the Messiah (the Moshiach).

As explained by the Arizal, the secret of 3 letters N, CH. L and Nachal comes  from the 3 words that comprise the 8th and 9th of the 13 Attributes of G-d : “Notzer Chesed L‘alefim.” The Ari further explains that the 8th sefira (level), which is Binah (Imma/Understanding) is where we are drawing this upper light from. Moreover, a key secret here is that once the 8th level is tapped into, all 3 upper levels (Binah, Chochma and Keter) are at once available to us. A river of divine light and blessing can flow into our world if we attune ourselves to it during the blessing and candle lighting.

So the first mediation is on opening up the flowing river (Nachal) from Binah, cosmic river 2Chochma and Keter through Binah into Zeir Anpin (the heavenly ladder that connects our world to Binah (the upper world). Zeir Anpin is represented by the aspect of the spe;;ed-out Tetragrammaton (YVD HE VEV HE) at the level called (Mah) of numerical value 45.

This is very important

We are further told that Mah combines with Binah through the alef(E) in the letter vav (VEV) to the regressively spelled Name Ehyeh (E, EH EHY EHYH) which is associated with Binah and has a numerical value of 44, just like the 44 total Chanukah candles that we will physically light over the 8 days.

Together, these two intersecting Names of G-d total numerically 45 + 44 = 89, once again the value of Chanukah(ChNVCH). Please note that it’s the Names that are important, the numbers just help us understanding a little of what is going on energetically in the spiritual framework.

It’s very important we grasp this unification because as Rabbi Chaim Vital of blessed memory explains, it through this very union of the YHVH (26) and the regressive EHYH (44) that the 70 Minsters of the 70 Nations are governed and thus all that stems from it in the count of 70, such as the final 70 years from Israel becoming a nation until the advent of Moshiach consciousness throughout the world.  Through the proper lighting of the 44 candles this year we have the power to guide that process forward.

EHYHyhvh small

(E, EH EHY EHYH + YVD HE VEV HE)

45 + 44 = 89

(Shefa flowing from Binah into Zeir Anpin)

Second Meditation:

The value of the word L’hadleek plus the kolel (1) = (179 +1) = 180, and partially because of this the Arizal tells us at this point in the blessing to meditate on the 3 upper aspects of the Tetragrammaton (Av, Sag, Mah), which total numerically (72+63+45) = 180.

Av: (YVD HY VYV HY) = 72

Sag: (YVD HY VEV HY) = 63

Mah: (YVD HE VEV HE) = 45

= 180

tree10Any number times 10 indicates that number spreading throughout the 10 sefirot of the tree-of-life.  In this case, it’s 18 (Chai, life), and as Rabbi Chaim Vital of blessed memory explains “All Torah Light is spread by squaring,” so we see within the square root of  18: 4.2426. This is significant because 424 is the value for “Mashiach Ben David” and 26 is the value of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH).

Now, specific to the Channukah blessing is that the spelled-out (gematria milui) value of the letters nun (NVN) and that of the lamed (LMD) of L’hadleek Ner is also 180, thus giving us yet another connection to “Mashiach Ben David and the tree-of-life.

From the 18 words of the 13 Attributes, the phrase “Notzer Chesed L‘alefim” meansHe preserves kindness for 2000 yearswhich is a hint that our time of exile for the past 2000 years is coming to a close, and if we add the 18 to it, we get 2018 CE (5778 HC), the year the tzaddikim have prophesied for the coming of the messiah and the final redemption (geula). It is also the year (2018 HC) that G-d made His Covenant with Abraham, our inheritance (Nachal).

Indeed, the word candle, Ner, has a numerical value of 250 and thus the 8 candles have a chnaukah lightscollective value of 250 x 8 = 2000.

And so when we add the 180 of Av, Sag. Mah aspects of the YHVH to the 180 of L’hadleek Ner plus the kolel of 3 for said 3 aspects, we get 180 + 180 + 3 = 363, the numerical value of H’Mashiach, (“the Messiah”), which is what we should be mediating on when we recite L’hadleek Ner:

(Receiving H’Mashiach)

L’Hadleek

Ner

Regarding Ner, the Arizal tells us to combine the Names Ehyeh, Elohim, and Adonai with YHVH on the 3 different levels (Av, Sag, and Mah)  to draw down the light properly from Binah to Malchut:

(EHYH, ELHYM, EDNY).

If we take the first two letters of each Name (EH, EL, ED), they add up to 6 + 31+ 5 = 42, as in the 42-Letter Name of G-d, (the Shem Mem-Bet, known as the Ana B’koach).

Then if we take the third letter (EHYH, ELHYM, EDNY) in each (YHN) they add up to 10 + 5 + 50 = 65 the numerical value of Adonai (EDNY), which leaves (H,YM, Y) which sum to 5 + 50 + 10 = 65, Adonai (EDNY) again.

The main point, though, is that the 3 Names represent the 42-letter Name and 130, which anabkoach160-ksis the numerical value of the two synonyms, Sinai and Sulam (ladder). Now the total numerical value of the 3 Names (EHYH, ELHYM, EDNY) is 172, and when we add 1 for the kolel, it’s 173, as in the small gematria numerical value for the 42-letter Name.

The Ari further explains that at the word Ner in the blessing we should concentrate on combining the 3 Names (EHYH, ELHYM, EDNY) with the 3 simple (YHVH)’s. These 3 YHVH’s add up to 26 + 26 + 26 = 78, the gematria of Mazla, aramaic for mazal, fortune, which we want to draw into our lives when lighting the Chanukah candles. This process mimics the flow of the shefa, (life-giving light) that emanates from the 3 YHVH’s and flows from the Holy of Holies through the Gate of 42 into the Holy Temple and then our world.

Now the main point of the Arizal was that the 6 Names (YHVHEHYH, YHVHELHYM, YHVHEDNY)-add up to 250, the value of Ner, candle, but if we add 6 as the kolel, we get 256, which is the value for both H’Aron (Ark of the Covenant) and for Aaron who lit the Menorah as channel for us all.

 Ner

So when we recite Ner, we want to meditate on the 42-Letter name (the Ana B’koach), receiving mazal, letting  Aaron, the high priest and the only person in the Torah assigned the title Mashiach, be our channel to light the Menorah in our lives and world.

together with the 6 Names merging together as follows.

YHVH – EHYH (Chochma – Ehyeh)

YHVH – ELHYM (Binah – Elohim)

YHVH – EDNY (Malchut – Adonai)

We draw the light of blessing down from Chochma to Binah to our world, Malchut.

chanukah oilNow for the full understanding, we take the 3 Names Ehyeh, Elohim and Adonai plus the 3 Names Av, Sag, Mah from the L’hadleek Ner kavanot and numerically add them  (172 + 180) + 6 (kolel for the 6 Names) and get 358, Mashiach

So completing the recitation of Baruch though Ner, we want to have in mind drawing down the light from the Upper 42-Letter Name to the Lower 42-Letter Name though the 3 YHVH’s and into the 3 Names (Ehyeh, Elohim and Adonai) and thus igniting the spark of  Moshiach consciousness in all of us and spreading it throughout the 70 nations.

The Candle

The candle we’re lighting is the light of the Torah itself as evidenced by the spelled out, menora 1 lightgematria milui of the letters (nun-resh) of Ner (candle): (NVN RShY) = (106 + 510) = 616, which is the numerical value of H’Torah, which helps explain Proverb 6:23:

“A mitzvah is a candle, and the Torah is light.”

The Shamesh

The Shamesh, or 9th candle is much more than a simple helper candle. The 9th sefira is that of Chochma, Wisdom. and the unification from above that is associated with the 9th sefira is YHVH x EHYH or in numerical terms 26 x 21 = 546, which is the sum of the initials of all 10 sefirot, a clue that this unification helps us draw the energy down through all 10 sefirot.

The value 546 is also the total value of the Names of the 3 Patriarchs whose names began with the letter Yud, which connects them to Chochma (wisdom), the 9th sefira: Isaac (208), Jacob(182), and Jospeh(156).  It’s likewise a connection to Israel, which has a value of 546 when the kolel for the 5 letters is included, and whose name is found 546 times in the Torah.

So as we light the Shamesh we should meditate to draw down the light through the 10 sefirot and to put joy in our hearts.

The 25th of Kislev

Yet another connection between the kavanot and the words of the blessing is found gelt 2between the 25 letters of the union of the 6 Names and the value of Ner, 250, since 250/10 = 25, but most important these would be the 25 letters that the Zohar says is missing for the completion of the Mishkan and the 25 words that we know are missing from the completion of the Torah, which is exactly (80,00025 words). It’s also a connection between the 25 letters of the Shma Israel phrase and the 25th of Kislev, as explained by the Zohar.

The next obvious further connection is between the 80,000 words and the 8 lights and torah scrollnights of Chanukah, since the 4th root of the sum of all the words, letters, and verses of the Torah = 25 exactly. There are also 25 letters in lamed-vav (36) milui.

So note that the 25 letters in the verse “Shma Israel, Adonai Elohenu, Adonai Echad” (Hear O Israel, G-d our Lord is One) is found at Devarim 6:4 and the word Chanukah (ChNV-CH) can be broken down to the two numerical values 64 (ChNV) and 25 (CH), and moreover that the numerical value of the first and last words in that verse, Shma (ShMY) and Echad (EChD) plus the kolel (1) = 410 + 13 + 1 = 424, the numerical value of Mashiach Ben David.

Further to this line of reasoning, and as connected by the Zohar, are the 24 days of Kislev that proceed Chanukah and the 24 letters in the Baruch Shem phrase that follows the Shma Israel phrase.

So on the first night before lighting we should connect to the Shma Israel and mediate that we are completing the Torah as in the days of Moshiach, B”H soon.

 The OiI

The word for eight (8) in Hebrew is shemonah, and a simple permutation of the letters in latkasshemonah (ShMNH) gives us hashemen. “the oil” (HShMN), and also neshama (soul, NShMH), all of which have the numerical value of 395, that of the 5th word in the Torah, H’Shama’im (the Heavens).

And when we spell out the Shin-Mem-Nun root letters of the Oil they add up to 546, so we must keep in mind (Proverbs 27:9): “Oil and incense rejoice the heart,” and be joyful as we light the oil for that joy will spread through the 10 sefirot and be contagious throughout the world.

Proverbs 27:9 “Oil and incense rejoice the heart”

The 8 Nights of Lights

Now know this for every candle we light below, one is lit above. So for all the 156 metaphysical candles we light below plus 1 collective one (the kolel), another 157 are lit above, making 314 in total, and 314 is the numerical value of the Name of G-d Shadai (ShDY) and also of Mettatron.  As for the 156 candles , it’s the numerical value of Zion and as we said previously, Joseph, who represents Yesod of Malchut, where the light of Binah ends up on the 8th day. It’s is also the point where all the divine sustenance funnels into out lives and our world. Incidentally, Zion, of numerical value 156, is found 107 times in Tanakh and the sum of all the positive integers from 1 to 107 is 5778.

Moreover, if we consider all the cumulative lit Chanukah lights as a multiple of 8 days: 1 x 3 x 6 x 10 x 15 x 21 x 28 x 36 = 1008 then add 1 for the kolel, and double them for above and below, they total 2018 candles in all.  So in essence, each and every year, by fulfilling the mitzvot of lighting the Channukah candles we’re preparing for the arrival of Moshiach in the year 2018 CE (5778 HC), our inheritance.

Chanukah Gelt

Even the parve chocolate gelt we give to our children on Chanukah connects to Mashiach, geltas the Aramaic word for gelt is Dami (DMY) of numerical value 54, and since 5778 is the sum of all the integers from 1 to 107 and 5778 = 107 x 54, then 54, and thus Dami (Gelt), plays yet another role in connecting all of us to the coming of H’Mashiach, B’H very soon.

So bring joy to your heart and joy to the world this Chanukah and help bring the gift of Mashiach into our lives.

A Hidden Message Awaits Within.

Part III of IV

This week’s portion was parsha Toldot, about the birth and conflict of Jacob and Esau, anabkoach160-ksbeginning with G-d’s Covenant with Isaac in Padan Aram and ending with 40-year-old Jacob in Padan Aram, looking for a wife.  Padan Aram, the home of Laban, was a place of great darkness and out of such places come the greatest light. The more spiritual light there is, the more klippot (negative husks) surround and feed off it, making it a dark place, so the Torah is telling us that there must be important holy sparks for us to recover within this portion.  As Rav Brandwein of blessed memory explained to me many years ago, Pad (PD), of numerical value 84, represents the final redemption (geula) in that it stands for the union of the upper and lower 42-Letter Names of G-d; and moreover, that it’s the deep understanding of this Name that will bring about said final redemption.

Toldot (TVLDT) begins and ends with the letter Tav (T), which signifies “the end,” but it’s tree10its value of 840 that is most telling, as 840 equals 10 times 84, PD, redemption. Furthermore, the word that proceeds Toldot in the Torah, the portion’s first word, V’eleh (VELH) of numerical value 42 gives us the final clue that there is an important message hidden within the portion regarding the end of days. The number 10 always represents the 10 sefirot (dimensions) in Kabbalah, so Toldot signifies the ultimate redemption through all 10 sefirot.  Nevertheless, 840 (Toldot) is also 20 x 42 and 20 (AShRYM) has the spelled out value of 620, that of Keter, the highest and ultimate level (sefira).

This is why 20 years passed from when Isaac married at age 40, the value of the inner letters of Toldot (TVLDT) and gave birth to twins, represented by the outer twin Tavs (TVLDT). There is not a single letter in the Torah that doesn’t have a purpose, many purposes, which is G-d’s way of showing us that every one of us has a purpose and should be appreciated as a valuable part of the whole, respected and loved as we would like to be respected and loved ourselves for what we bring to the table, to the whole.

The word Toldot (TVLDT) can be broken down into DLT and TV, the spelling of the 2 letters Dalet and Tav of DT, which spells the word Dat, meaning religions, faith, just as the 2 twins became the forefathers of the two (2) brethren religions Judaism and Christianity.

genesis prayer coverAnd finally, the complete (standard plus ordinal) value of Toldot (TVLDT) is 840 + 66 or 906, the same as the final line of the 42-Letter Name matrix (ShKVZYT), the line associated with the sefira Malchut (Kingdom), King David, and the  ultimate manifestation of Moshiach in our world.

These are all clues, not manifestations or kavannot to be meditated on, though any connection to the 42-Letter Name creates an elevation for us and as the Arizal told his student, Rabbi Chaim Vittal, “no prayer can be elevated without it.” It’s that important.

There are many important messages in this portion and much going on, but our focus–continued from our latest series of articles related to this and the next 4 years–is on one significant message that drops us a clue as to where the Moshiach consciousness will spring forth in our time. And we will begin by pointing out that the sages must have been on the same page when they chose which Haftorah portion to assign to Toldot this year, which on special occasions, like this year on Erev Rosh Chodesh, is Samuel 20:18-42. Pretty fitting, no? 2018 (5778 HC) and 42.  Samuel (ShMV EL) can be translated into “G-d has heard,” and also “Name of G-d,” such as the 42-Letter Name of G-d.

In this Haftorah portion there is a seemingly meaningless exercise of Jonathon’s plan to Arrow-Flying-Through-Airprotect his friend, the future King David, from Saul by alerting him whether he should flee or whether the coast was clear for him to come home by shooting an arrow either to the side of David or beyond him.  It was meaningless because he shot the arrow beyond David, which should have indicated to him to flee, yet the two hugged good-bye. If he was going to meet him anyway, why not just advise him in person and dispense with the archery game?

So the exercise must have been about something else. The word for arrow (ChZ) represents the 2 central letters in the tree-of-life (AZ ChYYM) and has the numerical value of 98, the same as the word for to “cleanse,” which is also why there are 98 so-called curses delineated in the Torah. The archery exercise showed us that in the future there lies a cleansing, which will give way to the Tree-of-life reality. Had the arrows fallen beside David, then King David and the Patriarchs’ work would have been enough to bring about the proper Moshiach (messiah) consciousness.  It wasn’t.

arrows hitting targetDo you think G-d would actually miss His target?

To better grasp the interpretation above we must understand that it’s known that the 70 years of King David’s life marked the halfway point (2889 HC) from Adam to Moshiach in 5778, and that the tree-of-life (AZ ChYYM) can be broken down to A (70), ZCh (98) and YYM (620), which is the numerical value of Keter, the highest possible level. Moreover, it’s also known that every tzaddik who has tried to bring the final redemption and/or the Moshiach revelation before his time has met with an untimely death/misfortune.  Even Moses was forbidden to do so. The arrows didn’t tell David to flee in as much as they divinely fell to advise him of his place in the plan.

In the initial paragraph of Toldot we learn that Isaac was 40 years old and from this the Zohar extrapolates that there will be 40 years between the Moshiach ,the rebuilding of the Temple and the return of the exiles and final redemption/Resurrection of the dead.  But then the rest of the paragraph delineates pairs of twos (2): nations, governments, twins: All a connection to Mem (40) and Bet (2), as in the Shem MB (the 42-Letter Name). A secret here is that the Shem MB can be used to collapse time and 40 years can become 2, just as it was with the Israelites 42 journeys through the desert, which we’ll elaborate on in another article.

The article has become too lengthy once again, so as for the hidden message where the Torah drops out of its narrative and into future (end-times) time frame within this portion, we’ll have to save that for the next article: “To This Day…”

Part I of this series.

Part II of this series.

Say the Shema: Ayin and Dalet; The Last 4 Years of the Final 70.

Part II of III, continued from 5774 Revealed

Ayin and Dalet

shma large AD

The two letters Ayin and Dalet have values of 70 and 4 respectively and are the two large letters found in the first and last words of the first verse of the famous Shema prayer, as it’s written in the Torah. It was Rav Brandwein, of blessed memory, who taught me that the final letters of words point to the future, and so not coincidentally, the numerical value of the words Shma (ShMA) and Echad (EChD), together meaning “Hear One) is 424, the numerical value of Moshiach Ben David (the Messiah).

Moreover, the numerical value of all the letters between the the enlarged Ayin and Dalet is 704, clearly representative of 70 and 4. Nevertheless, if we add the Ayin and Dalet to that 704, we get 778, as in the final 4 years of the final 70 years leading to Moshiach Ben David (the Messiah) in 5778. B”H. Obviously, the sages were right in telling us to recite the Shma 3 times a day; it’s not only for protection and healing, but to connect us body and soul to Moshiach at the right time, in the end of days, and to set us on the right path as we enter the final 4 years of the final 70.

anabkoach160-ksThe value 704 is not only the value of the Shema’s middle letters, it’s also the numerical value of the Ana B’koach’s (42-Letter Name) middle line, the one that can give us the power of perseverance and that most importantly connects us to the brit (Covenant)of Moshiach.

Moreover, the sages tell us these two letters AD which together spell the word for witness, represent the 2 witnesses.  The two witnesses are often said to be Moses and Elijah, but let’s examine the word AD in relation to the Torah a little further before jumping to conclusions.

AYN and DLT are integrally related: As noted above, the numerical value of AD added together is 74 and all the disparate words in the Torah that have the numerical value of 74 are found a total of 434 times in the Torah, which is the numerical value of the letter DLT (D), which itself is found 7032 times in the Torah.  Then if we were to multiply the simple values of A (70) by D (4) instead of add them, we’d get 70 x 4 = 280, which is the numerical vale of the 5 final letters (MNZPC), the 5 final judgements, and as it just so happens, the word AD is found exactly 280 times in the Torah. Taken with the meaning of AD, we have both “until” the final days (judgments) and witness of the final days, etc.

These 5 final letters, collectively called manzipach, are often connected to the end-times by manzipachthe tzaddikim and are represented numerically by the letters PR (280), so it’s no wonder that they are found in the words Shofar (ShVPR) and Yom Kippur (CYPR), when our collective and individual judgment needs to be mitigated.  This year the 3 Holidays representing the left, right and central columns of the Tree-of-life–Rosh Hashannah, Pesach, and Shavuot–will play a most prominent role in our preparations for the final days. Collectively, the initials of these 3 holy days spell our Shofar backwards (SH-P-V’R), but that we’ll develop more in a separate article.

Moreover, the sum of the 22 Hebrew letter that would be permuted, as per the discussion above, is 1495 and if we subtract the value of the 5 final letters (280) from them we get 1215, less the kolel is 1214, once again as revealed by Rav Abulafia and connected to Ayn Dalet in the first article of this series, means the “permutation of the letters” and “70 languages”.

In the Torah the word AD always connects with the final days and as we can see now, the final judgements associated with the end of days as well.  Right after the earth was wiped clean in the flood (mubul, MBVL), the Torah recalls the story of the Tower of Babel in which the people united to reach Heaven on their own accord by manipulating the divine names and using the energy and angelic coding behind the Hebrew letters, permuting them if you will.  In order to stop them, G-d took their language, Hebrew, away from them and split it into 70 different languages, thus scattering the people into 70 different nations.

He and His Name are One

According to the tzaddikim the future in the time Moshiach and the geula (final redemption) the Name YHVH will be replaced by YHYH of numerical value 30, which is alluded to in the verse “On that day, G-d [YHVH] will be [spelled  YHYH] one, and His Name one.” (Zecariah 14:9)

בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא, יִהְיֶה יְהוָה אֶחָד–וּשְׁמוֹ אֶחָד.

Now, since 30 is the numerical value of the letter Lamed(LMD) which has the spelled out value of 74, the future Name YHYH from Zechariah’s verse of His Name being One relates to the large letters AD of the Shema’s first verse where it’s proclaimed that the Lord is One. Furthermore, the 4 letters of the future Name Yld-Hy-Yld-Hy spelled out have the numerical value of 70.

This connection powerfully enhances the power of the Shema when we recite it, and even more evidence to strengthen this connection is found in an obscure but most revealing gematria algorithm.

Since A = 70 and D = 4 we take (A x D)/(A +D) = something

and (70 x 4)/(70+4) = 280/74 = 3.78378378..

378 = Echad Ushmo Echad (אֶחָד–וּשְׁמוֹ אֶחָד)

One and His Name is One

Obviously these two verses were meant to be united, and to help us reach the final redemption in its appropriate time.  And as Rav Berg, who confirmed this connection for me, always pointed out Echad Ushmo Echad has the same gematria as “loving and caring (Ahava Deaga), which is the real message we need to adopt.

Time is speeding up and going in reverse as the Hebrew and Western calendars mirror themselves. The unity at the Tower of Babel happened shortly afterward the Flood (MBVL), which begins with the assignation of the 42-Letter Name (MB) and has the numerical value of 78.   As things rush backwards towards the original tree-of-life reality, we need to achieve that unity first, then the cleansing (Flood).

Today, we desperately need to find unity.  Through modern technology, we’ve been given tools whereby everyone can nearly instantaneously know everyone’s thoughts, no matter how mundane or profane they may be.  And ever since Rav Berg, of blessed memory, opened up the floodgates of Kabbalah to the world, the ancient technology has been spreading like wildfire, drawing us back to the One Hebrew language and the knowledge of how to permute the letters.

Encoded in the first verse of the Torah is not only the powerful Ana B’koach prayer/meditation, but the same 1214 numerical value of “70 languages” and  “permutation of the letters” twice. The complete value of the Torah’s first 9 letters less the kolel of 1 also equals 1214, as does the 11 unique letters utilized in constructing that same first verse.  sefer yetzirah coverAbraham, in his Sefer Yetzirah, called the Hebrew letters building blocks, and like Mindcraft, it’s through the permutation, recombination and reconstruction of these letters that we can build a city and a tower to span the 70 sefirot between Heaven and Earth.

Nevertheless, if you don’t think there is an energetic link between the 70 sefirot or at least the number 70 and the Hebrew letters consider this: the natural log of 70, or LN (70) = 4.248, and the sum of the spelled-out names of the 22 Hebrew letters is likewise 4248. And let’s not forget that 424 is Moshiach Ben David.

According to HaRav Berg, of blessed memory, that tower, that unity, must be built on love. anabkoach160-ksIt’s scaffolding would be the 42-Letter Name of G-d, known as the Ana B’koach, a seven (7) rung (70 sefirot) matrix or ladder to Heaven, whose first verse is numerically equivalent to  that of “Unconditional Love” and to Moshiach Ben David in its complete form (including its ordinal values). As Rav Brandwein explained, it’s through the understanding of the 42-Letter Name of G-d that the geula (final redemption will occur.

The Torah illustrates repeatedly that energy is never lost and that just as a number represents the energy in all the integers leading up to it, so do the Hebrew letters (ie. Bet includes Alef and Bet and Gimmel includes Alef, Bet and Gimmel).  So it’s telling that the PiBook6sum of 22 letters when each is take as a sum of all the values of the letters leading up to it is 6200 or 10 x 620, the numerical value of Keter, the highest sefira (dimension). And it’s even more telling that the square root of this sum, 6200, is 78.7400… As illustrated in There’s Nothing Random in the Universe, G-d’s messages are extra redundant, leaving us little opportunity to miss them, or excuses.

Concerning the 11 unique letters of the Torah’s first verse they connect to the 11 sefirot, including the all-important upper sefira  DAT), the 11 incense, and the 11 dots, the last in a series of the 10 sets of extraneous dots found above certain letters in the Torah. Germaine to our discussion, this set of 11 dots ends with the word AD, of numerical value 74 and begins with the letter Lmd, also of numerical value  74. The value of all the letters beneath those 11 dots is 314, the numerical value of Mettatron, and when the ordinal value of the letters is also considered, its 422.  As explained in the book, The Divine Calendar, 422 is the The Divine Calendarnumerical value of the word seventy(70) and also the year the the First Holy Temple was destroyed, -422 BCE and thus reflective of the year the Second Holy Temple was destroyed in 70 CE.

Now, the word AD in gematria atbash, which is a common Kabbalistic cipher that reverses the Hebrew alphabet, is converted to TzK, of numerical value 107, which is significant because the sum of all the integers from 1 to 107 is 5778, while the sum of the logs of the integers from log(1) to log(74) is 107….  And the word L’AD, meaning forever–the place of endless life–is found 4 times in the Torah, and also has the gematria value of 107.  All the paths lead to one point in our future only 4 years from now.

All this means that the gates have opened and we need to commit now because in 5775 it may already be too late.  Think of this as a 5778 year journey to the Sun–fitting as the sun 2surface temperature of the Sun is 5778K.  At a certain point, let’s say 4 years out, there’s no return; you’re caught in the Sun’s gravitation field, whether you’ve prepared for it or not.  This is where we all are in time right now.  Time itself is being sucked into the gravitational field and is speeding up substantially.

There are 4 years left in this 4th period of 70 years that began with Israel becoming a nation. 70 years represents the 70 sefirot of the ladder of Zeir Anpin and Zeir Anpin is the aspect of G-d called YHVH. Because the 70 sefirot emanate from this 4-letter Name, meaning they sit at the head as the 4 top rungs of the ladder, the final 4 years correspond to the 4 letters of the YHVH.  Remember, both the Hebrew letters and our numerical YHVH goldsystem represent energy values and types base on the base 10, 10-dimensional structure of our universe, agreed upon by both ancient modern physicists. The sum of the logarithms from 1 to 70 is 100.078 and 100 is keter, the supreme completion, so given that 100-74 = 26, the value of the YHVH, it’s safe to say we’ve entered the vortex.  Once entered there is no turning back. With time speeding up, the distance between cause and effect is collapsing, leaving little margin for error. We have to be able to make the right decisions in the first place so our consciousness is crucial. So the question is do we have the consciousness that can find unity and build the tower to Heaven with love, the Future Holy Temple, or do we have the negative self-serving consciousness that rendered asunder the Holy Temples?

How do we know it’s 4 years within the 70 that the Dalet and Ayin represent and not 70 plus 4 years from when Israel became a nation? We know it because when Jacob went down to Egypt in the 1st of the 4 exiles, the Torah tells us they were 66 family members just before it tells us and lists the full 70.  There are 70 levels of understanding of the Torah and all are important; nothing is superfluous.

According to innumerable tzaddikim, including Rabbi Chaim Ben Attar in Ohr HaChaim, “[the] numerical value being 78, [represents] three times the numerical value (26) of the four-lettered Holy Name. This was an allusion to eternal life, i.e. past, present and future. We have much to look forward to in our near future and much incentive to shift our consciousness now to that of unity and love, to Oneness.  B’H it’ll be enough.

I originally intended to tie in the key mystical Torah phrase for our future Ad H’yom Hazeh, “until this day,” but this article became way too lengthy, so we’ll post it separately,
