Shining The Light

I haven’t written much this week. I’ve been too busy cleaning and cleaning. Every Pesach (Passover) we invite Eliyahu Hanavi and H’Mashiach into our homes and lives and if we’ve made the proper environment for them they will come. This Erev Pesach we will be doing the Blessing on the Sun, whose brightness burns at 5778 K. As previously discussed, the Blessing of the Sun connects us to creation and the first 28 letters and/or 7 words of the Bible. This special Blessing happens only every 28 years, and we will be entering the 207th cycle since Creation and 207 is the gematria of “Light.” This Pesach, more than any other since the exodus 66.6 jubilee years ago, a great light will be revealed (the process will begin), and while the darkness easily hides our filth, impurities and sins, in the bright light of the Sun all gets revealed. This Torah portion, not by coincidence is Tzav, and its all about the cleansing of our souls, which by the way is not what Mashiach is coming to do. He is coming to help elevate them; we must do the cleansing first. The portion (parsha) Tzav discusses the purification process that Aaron HaCohen and his sons had to go through in order to do their jobs in the Tabernacle as channels for all of Israel. This process lasted 7 days, and on the 8th is the final completion, which we’ll read in the next portion, Shemini (the Eighth).
