…continued from the 10 plagues: In the last two blogs in this mini-series on the 10 plagues, we discussed how the 10 plagues were more for the benefit of waking up the Israelites to the tree-of-life reality than shaking up the Egyptians, and how that were even more for our benefit as we deal with the same spiritual afflictions our brethren faced 66.6 jubilee years ago, when they too stood before the 50th gate of darkness. In this installment we’ll explore what and how those signs back in 2448 have to do with us today as we fast approach 5778.
There are normally 41 letters in the 10 plagues with 41 being the number of letters in the full Name Ehyeh spelled out, the powerful Name for “I am that I am.” Nevertheless, in the Torah the word for beasts (or flies) is never spelled with the “vav” as it is in traditional Hebrew, which leaves us with just 40 letters.

The 10 Plagues and the Final Redemption

If we include the vav as is customary in most hagadahs, the sum of the 10 plagues using gematria sofit is 5546. And 546 is not only the sum of the initials of the 10 sefirot, but is the result of 21 x 26. We know that the Tetragrammaton, the ineffable Name of G-d, (YHVH), has the numerical value of 26 and that Ehyeh (EHYH) has the value 21, so we can easily understand that this is no coincidence, especially since we know from chazal that the 10 plagues were all about rectifying the 10 sefirot and preparing the Israelites to receive the 10 sefirot (tree-of-life) reality.
But to further understand this we must visualize each of the 21 aspects (or energy centers) within the Name Ehyeh (EHYH) embued with the power of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH). And when we do this we’re no longer passively meditating, but actively activating the tree-of-life, which is why there are 21 YHVH’s in each of the 2 parts of the tefillin (head and hand) and one of the reasons there is a large letter Shin (Sh) on it, whose ordinal value is 21.
It’s important for all of us to understand the tools we’re using to the fullest, and it’s no different from using your computer to send email, or to do so much more. So for those of you who use the tefillin, it’s very important to understand that not only are you connecting to the 10 sefirot with both your head and your hand tefillin, but each one is collected to a fully [potent Ehyeh (EHYH) and togetther, the two Ehyehs and you head (RESh) form and connect to EHYH EShR EHYH “I am that I am.” And moreover, that the 42 YHVH’s all together connect you to the power of the 42-Letter Name (Shem Mem-Bet, also known as the Ana B’koach), associated with not only manifesting miracles in our world, but with helping to bring about the geula (final redemption), but for more on that please read The Genesis Prayer.
It also further connects you to the physical seed of Mashiach Ben David and the power of manifestation through the 42 times the the name Yehuda(YHVDH) appears in the Torah, which each one containing the YHVH. Yehuda (Judah) was a man of action and strength and this attribute is built into all association with him, and thus the proper use of the 42-letter Name and the tefillin.
These are powerful tools we’ve been given, the Torah, the Names, the Tefillin and they are not to be taken or sued lightly. In the proper consciousness they have the power to open us up to the tree-of-life reality and when we pray/mediate for others, for the greater community to receive this consciousness and our compassion and we follow that up with our actions, we can make the tree-of-life a reality for not only ourselves, but the world. And just like the Names of G-d within the Torah and within our prayers and tefillin are intertwined and linked one to another, so must our prayers and actions; only by praying for and helping one another can we assemble the full 10 sefirot (dimensions) of the tree-of-life reality, the true reality beyond our illusory world of selfish desires and desperate needs.
And it’s absolutely no coincidence that at the end of the 10 plagues, just before beginning the first leg in their 42 journeys to reach the Promised Land, we were given 2 of the 4 portions that are housed in the tefillin in Shmot (Names/Exodus) 13:1-16, culminating with Shmot 13:16 “These shall be a sign on your arm and an insignia in the center of your head. [all this] is because G-d brought us out of Egypt with a show of strength.”
And for those that don’t use tefillin and for morning prayers and for those of us that do as well when we’re going about our daily lives, we can and should still keeps the signs of G-d and signs of redemption on our heads and arms, in our thoughts and our actions at all times. This will activate the tree-of-life, and then we can really know what it is to live.
Getting back to the 10 plagues, we see that their full sofit value is off from 5778 by 232, since 5546 + 232 = 5778, the year preordained for the arrival of the Moshiach as explained by the tzaddikim. And as explained in numerous other blogs 232 is the sum of the 4 aspects of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH:Av, Sag, Mah, Ban). And if you recall, 232 also defined the divine relationship between the Earth and the Sun, whose surface temperatures (or radiances) were248.573 K and 5778 K respectively and 5778/248.573 = 23.2447.
As we’ve noted extensively in The Divine Calendar, the dates of the Exodus in 2448 HC, the Final Redemption in 5778 HC and the fulcrum point of the Gregorian Calendar in 3760 HC are all integrally connected and aligned, so it’s no surprise that the sum of the 10 plagues in standard gematria equals 3290, and when we add the ordinal value of the 40 letters in the 10 plagues, (468), we get 3290 + 468 + 2 (the kolel for the 2 elements of the equation) = 3760, or 26.26 jubilee years after the Exodus, with 26 being the numerical value of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) yet again.
Once again, we see the Torah giving us the tools, spelling out how we need to use them and showing us the timing of G-d’s Divine Calendar.  We can choose to ignore them as most of us have done for 66.6 jubilee years, or connect to them, put them in our hands and our heads and our hearts and bring about Moshiach and the geula, and end our final exile, once and for all.
…to be continued in 10 Plagues, Final Installment, where we explore further how the Names are woven into the final plague and how we can use that for our own redemption.
