How are Moses and the Arizal related? What is their essence? And what level were they at?
The 3 letters of Moshe Rabbeinu, Moses’ name, is spelled (MShH) and when it is spelled out it is MM ShYN HY which has a numerical value of (80 + 360 + 15) = 455 which is the same numerical value of Isaac Luria, the Arizal’s actual name. This value, 455, just so happens to be the same as the 3 aspects of Eyheh, the higher Name of G-d, together, which are respectively 161. 151, and 143 and used extensively in his divine calculations. It also is the hidden meaning in Meah Shanah, 100 years, from Bereshit 23:1 in describing Sarah’s life, of which we’ve previously;y connected to Moshe, the Ari, David H’Melech and the Messiah, H’Mashiach in several other posts. Shanah has the numerical value of 355 and when we add the 100 for Meah, we get 455. And since 100 represents Keter, crown, the highest level, just as Ehyeh is the highest Name, 455 signifies a high point.
Now, speaking of 100, the Arizal likes to expand the value of yud (10) especially when it is in the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) to 100 to reflect the fuller 10 sub-sefirot (dimensions) within each sefira. In teh case of the 3rd aspect of the Tetragrammaton, the one that reflects the bundled 6 dimensions of Zeir Anpin (YVD HE VEV HE) there are 3 alefs, and the Ari connects these to the 3 expanded Ehyehs mentioned above that each begin with the letter Alef. Since the numerical value of the spelled-out alef is 111, the 3 alefs collectively have a value of 333, and if we use the expanded value of 100 for the letter yud and add teh two letter heys and the two vavs we get (333 + 100 + 5 + 6 + 6 + 5 = 455). Note that the vav-dalet (value 10) of the letter spelled-out yud get folded in, as Y (10) x VD (10) = 100.
And the three alefs are reflected again in the Name Ehyeh Esher Ehyeh, “I am that I am” which reflects the upper 42 letters of the name of G-d. And with the 3 alefs as One, it has the numerical value of 541, that of Israel.
And to be sure, when we separate out the 3 alefs, the rest of the letters in the name (YVD HE VEV HE) sum to 42.
Now, the repetition of 3‘s is no coincidence here and we find in Moses’ name’s value that 345 = 115 x 3 and that 115 is the value of the word strength, hazak, which we recite 3 times at the close of every Torah Book, which is not only a connection to Moshe, but to the Messiah, H’Mashiach, an embodiment of Moses, as there are 115 jubilee (50 year interval) years up to the generation of 5778 when it’s been prophesied that Mashiach will come.
Thus we see that the Ari is an incarnation of Moses and that they carry in their essence the full name of G-d Ehyeh and use it to draw strength to Israel until the time of H’Mashiach.
