Creation by Design; Renewed Every year.

As we complete the 22 days of the holidays and reestablish the relationship between the Zeir Anpin and Malchut (Heaven and Earth so to speak) for another year, we read once again the story of Creation. Before even finishing the holiday, just after we finish the 7th hakifot (encircling) with the lulov and doing the 7 hakifot with the Torah, both associated with Zeir Anpin, we read the first 32 verses of Creation, the verses that establish the 7 days of Creation.  This is of design, not convenience.

The 32 verses of Creation, as well established by Chazal, connect to the 32 Paths of Wisdom, the Tree-of-Life. And as we explained in a previous post, similarly the ordinal value of the word Lulov, which is 32, does as well, and moreover, they both connect to the Alter at the center of the Third Temple, which measures 32 x 32 cubits.

What was not previously explained was that the 6 verses in which each of the first 6 days were completed in, thus establishing the 6 sefirot (dimensions) of Zeir Anpin, are the verses #5, 8, 13, 19, 23, and 31 of the Torah’s first chapter. The numbers 5 + 8 +13 + 19+ 23 + 31 = 99 and in the 1st verse of the 2nd chapter G-d completed Creating Heavean and Earth, plus 99 + 1 = 100, a level of perfection kabbalistically speaking, but also the square of 10 (sefirot) and the complete value of the word Lulov, (68 + 32 = 100), and also the measure of the inner courtyard surrounding the Alter at the center of the Future Holy Temple, 100 x 100 cubits.

This also corresponds to the sum of the ordinal values of the first 10 letters of the Torah (BREShYT BRE E) “In the beginning was created Alef:” 2+20+1+21+10+22+2+2+1+1 = 100, once again perfection and the square of the 10 sefirot.  And it should be noted that teh composite value of the letter Alef is 32, which is why it’s associated with the Tree-of-life.

As we said, when we complete the 7th day, Malchut, firmly establishing the 7 sefirot and 7 days of Creation in the 1st verse of the 2nd chapter, we have a total value of the verses as 100 which corresponds to the 100 blowings of the shofar on Rosh Hashannah that began the Holiday process 22 days ago.

This is all by design to reestablish our connection to the Tree-of-Life EVERY year, every year through the period of the Third Temple, which according to the prophecy of the tzaddikim should happen in about 7 years from now (around 5778).

Please note that 5778 is 66.6 jubilee years from the reception of the Torah at Sinai in 2448, and we mention this because as was explained in book The Genesis Prayer the number 5913 is also derived from a beautiful equation based on the 7 days of Creation and the kabbalistic principal that energy is never lost.

Before we get into the equation please note that in the 6 days of Creation there are 66 times the letter combination for the word “sea” appears (YM) of numerical value 50, the same as the length of the jubilee year, 50 years.  According to chazal, whenever we see the combination (YM) as in Elohim (ELHYM) it represents the sefira of Binah (understanding).

And as for Elohim (ELHYM) it is found 32 times in those same verses of the 6 Days of Creation. Whether it’s the lulov, or the Torah or the Alter in the Future Holy Temple, we’re tapping into the Tree-of-Life , and drawing the light (energy) from Binah through the 6 dimensions of Zeir Anpin into the 7th, Malchut, the world of matter and limitation.

Abraham, the Patriarch, taught us in his Sefer Yetzirah several thousand years ago that 7 factorial is 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 5040, and when we apply that to 6 factorial and again for each of the 7 days of Creation and then add them together, we get (5040 + 720 + 120 + 24 + 6+ 2 + 1) = 5913 and even more significant, we know that the 10 Commandments and thus the 2nd opportunity of the Tree-of-Life reality was received on Shavuot 2448, or the exact Western date 5/9/1313 BCE (some say 5/9/1312 BCE, but it’s still 5/9/13).

Of further note is that 7 factorial and 6 factorial together total 5760 and (5 and 4 factorial) = 144 and (5 and 4 and 3 and 1 factorial = 151.  So, while 5760 is the year 2000 CE, the spiritual cleaning bath, or mikve has the numerical value of 151 (same as the higher name of G-d, Ehyeh) and it contains 40 seah each of 144 eggs, for a total volume of 5760 eggs, as prescribed by chazal.  It was based on this calculation for the mikve and divine inspiration that Rav Abraham Azulai of blessed memory, prophesied that the  Geula/Moshiach  process would begin in 5760 (2000 CE) and this period of Oy and Ashray could conceivably last for the 18 years until 5778 as fits the other prophecies, especially since the square root of 18 is 4.24, the numerical value of Moshiach Ben David.

Everything is by design.

The Shabbos Hurricane

Last Friday and Saturday a storm hit New York, hit us hard.  As we ventured out Sunday with no heat, power, or phones we learned that the fierce storm had actually been an unpredicted unnamed hurricane, the Shabbos Hurricane. The hurricane proved fatal for a few, but devastating for many in the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut Metropolitan region.  Four days later, with the schools closed we still didn’t have power and were just one family of 120,000 of the original 500,000 still without power.  But it was only while attempting to drive around, that we realized the extent of the devastation: thousands upon tens of thousands of large trees had been ripped out of the ground and toppled over upon houses, cars and most often the power lines, causing the telephones poles that carried those power lines to snap and topple with them across the main thoroughfares. We couldn’t travel 2 blocks without being detoured.  The 75 mile an hour winds and even stronger gusts caught the numerous tall evergreen trees like sails on the sea, and splintered any other tree not in prime condition. The first comment anyone and everyone had was that this was a war zone. So why did it happen?

Usually the weatherman and weather channels track these storms with non-stop team coverage for a week before they make landfall with vivid pictures of weatherman standing on the shore, leaning into wind microphones aloft, to show us how brave they are and what we’re up against. So how did this storm, predicted to dump 2-4 inches of rain—sizable, but manageable—over our region take them all by surprise?

I first look to the spiritual, and yes, trees and nature live a life cycle that includes weeding out the weaker ones to make room for new growth, and yes, many souls are locked up inside trees and maybe they all needed releasing at this moment in time for some reason unbeknownst to us. But once our power and order was restored and I found the time to catch the news, another reason occurred to me.

While the storm was just making shore and was still a simple rainstorm on Friday, the Obama administration was threatening Israel and verbally attacking it for continuing to build homes for its people (Bnei Israel) and for not actively engaging its enemies (Ishmael) in a “so-called” peace dialogue. This is the same administration that spent the past year twiddling its thumbs while Iran sped along its developments of a nuclear arsenal aimed at Israel. It’s not hard to see where the Obama administration’s priorities lie, but it is quite coincidental that as the verbal attacks on Israel intensified Friday and Saturday, the simple rainstorm suddenly became the most devastating natural disaster to befall our region in known history.

What was also seemingly coincidental was the freak death of the very beloved Rabbi Rubenstein, who was struck by lightening in his Shabbos sleep less than 1/4 mile from here exactly 23 months ago to the day of our Shabbos no name hurricane.

Since the hurricane hit on Shabbot, it behooves us to look for answers to the Torah portion read this week, Vayakel, whose numerical value is 151, the same as the word “mikve,” representing a physical and significantly, a spiritual cleansing. We just finished the incident of the golden calf and Moses is about to give us the laws of Shabbat. And since the first verse, phrase, or words of anything and in this case, the portion, is the seed level and thus the spiritual guide for the rest of portion, we should examine the first 7 word phrase of this portion: “Moses assembled the whole Israelite community (VYKHL MShH ET CL ADT BNY YShREL).”

The first word as we said represented the power of the mikve, or cleansing.

And while the second word is Moshe, representing healing, the first two together (spiritual cleansing-healing) numerically sum to 496, that of the sefira (dimension) of Malchut, our world, and thus a cleansing and healing of our world, a tikune or correction if you will.

In contrast, the 3rd and 4th words add up to 451, the numerical value of Ishmael, representing the Arab and Moslem nations, also fathered by Abraham.

The next word is the 5th word, a permutation of the word Da’at, “knowledge, the sefira (dimension) representing the combined upper worlds.

And finally “Bnei Israel” the Israelites, whose numerical value with the kolel for their 8 letters is 611, the numerical value of Torah.

As further evidence of this imagery, we have the sum of the first 5 initials of the phrase adding up to 137 and the last two to 12, possibly representing the 137 years of Ishmael’s life and the 12 tribes of Bnei Israel.

Of course, beyond revealing the encoding anything we can say about this verse would be no more than inference, but we do know from the sages of blessed memory that the final letters point toward the future and the 7 final letters in this phrase including the kolel add up to 913, the numerical value of Bereshit, the Torah’s first word, “In the beginning,” hinting at the time of Da’at that existed in the beginning and to a new beginning. And also the numerical value of the initials through the word Da’at, 137, is also that of “to receive,” inferring “a receipt of Da’at.”

Nevertheless, the full value of the 7 words, reminiscent of the Torah’s first verse, also of 7 words, is 2017, when the kolel for the 7 words is removed.  Or 2001, if the kolel for the 23 letters of the phrase is removed, and we all know the destruction that took us by surprise and befell our region in 2001.

As to what new beginning there may be in 2017, we can look to the one word that both the Torah’s first verse and this phrase have in common, Et, whose numerical value when the kolel for the other 6 words in either case is added is 407, whose square root in turn is 20.17424, or 2017 again and 424, the numerical value of Moshiach Ben David, which coincides with the predictions of certain tzaddikim of blessed memory.

And if Obama is elected to a second term, that term will be up in 2017.

Shabbat Shalom,

“Song of the Well” from which we Draw the Light

…continued from the “Song of the Sea” at Shmot 15:1-21, paragraph 42, where we discussed the connection of the flowing Light to water, the mikve concept, the name Ehyeh and the 42-Letter Name of G-d, all their conjoined connections to H’Moshiach (the Messiah), and also the importance of joyful singing in appreciation of Hashem.

The next song sung in the Bible is also about water. It is the “Song at the Well” found at Bamidbar 21:17-20, and not coincidentally we find that the first well drank from in the Torah is found at Bereshit 21:17-20, when G-d gives Hagar and young Ishmael relief and offers to make him a mighty nation. This cannot be a coincidence, but the difference was Hagar and Ishmael didn’t give thanks. Yet G-d kept his promise and made him a mighty nation, a nation of unquenchable thirst.

And neither can the fact that the word well, Ber (BER) is found 22 times in the Torah, an indication of the flow of light through the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and that all the permutations of Ber, such as in the Torah’s 2nd word, Barah (BRE) add up to 28, the same total number of time2 the word “river” is used in the Torah.

Well and River?

Wells are dug. Rivers flow down from the mountains. The rivers refer to the flow of Light from the upper rivers above, while the wells are the vessels, recipients of this flow, which is why Abraham and the Patriarchs were always digging wells, to prepare our vessels for the Light. This is also why Miriam, a female, was in charge of the well. She was a natural vessel, while Moses was a natural channel, and more like a river in nature.

The first verse of the Torah also has 28 letters, and of the first 9 of those letters, the permuted BER (well) to BER (to create) was included twice, BRESHYT BRE because it takes two drops from below to cause one to flow down from above, which is also why the Moshiach prophecies are based on 666, or 2/3. We have to move 2/3 of the way ourselves and G-d will do the rest.

And that BER (well) and BER (to create) are spiritually related is easily understood if one sees BER (well) as the feminine principal or vessel, which is what creates, gives birth, or manifests. While a river can flow all day long, the water (or Light) must be drawn into a vessel in order to irrigate and nourish and breed life.

Interestingly enough, those 9 letters, including their ordinal value sum to 1215, and as we discussed in our article on the Shakings of the Lulav, all the diverse elements of the Sukkot holiday add up to 100 (Sach) + 91 (sukkah) + 1024 (4 species) = 1215. There is a reason for 1215, but we wont go into it now, but when we take away 1 for the kolel, and get 1214, much of the technology gets revealed. For example, amongst the 28 letters of the Torah’s first verse, there are 11 unique letter and they also have a complete value (ordinal plus standard gematria) of 1214. Also 1214 is the exact numerical value of “70 languages” (ShBAYM LShVNVT), corresponding to the 70 nations and the 70 faces of the Torah. And furthermore, 1214 is the exact value for the “permutation of the letters” (ZYRVP H’EVTYVT), which the Torah seems to be telling us to do, as did Abraham, the Patriarch, in his Sefer Yetzirah (The Book of Formation).

This helps explains the water connection, “Pouring of the Water” (nisuch hamayim), during and to the holiday of Sukkot. And during the time of teh Holy Temple, “Pouring of the Water” was accompanied by signing and dancing and much celebration, just as it should be, considering the first songs of the Torah are about water, and the flow of the Light.

That the exact word well (Beer, BER), found 22 times in the Torah, is obviously connected with the 22 letters of the Hebrew Alphabet, through which Light flows into our world, but a deep secret revealed in The Genesis Prayer is that the Well of Miriam is located at the very center of 42-Letter Name matrix in the Reish-Zaddi (RZ) pair, at letters #21 and 22 of the 42 letters, at the place also known as the Brit of Mashiach, as discussed in previous blogs. Moreover, the numerical value of the RZ pair is 290, the same as Miriam.  Because of the special properties of the mikve, those concerned about fertility and the conception of righteous children, shold read the special section in The Genesis Prayer regarding the 42-letter Name and this special connection within it.  Many people for many generations including ours have received so-called miracles from it, which we know to be just the tree-of-life reality at work.

…to be continued with the rest of the 10 songs. And we will soon be discussing the “Sword of Michael,” which some say is also the “Sword of Moses,” hidden within the “Song of the Sea.”
