The 10 Commandments Part IX: The Ultimate Revelation

…Continued from The Ten Commandments

There was going to be 10 parts to this series, but due to the unfolding crisis in Japan, we felt it best to skip  to the most critical and most significant revelations about and from the 10 Commandments, those critical to our understanding of what is happening in our world today. Our last article in the series was the encoded timing for the Moshiach (messiah) and of the final redemption, and of those few sols that managed to cross over 3330 years ago during the last opening of the Tree-of-life reality at Mt Sinai.

The Alter

The word Mizbayach (MtzBCh), the Alter, whose construction is described in detail in the 3rd (middle) of the 5 special portions has the numerical value of 62, as in Keter, the highest sefira (dimension) of numerical value 620, just as so many other connections to the 10 Commandments( Utterances), including the 620 letters and the 62 letter Yuds of the 10 Commandments that were engraved on the 2 Tablets housed in the Tabernacle (MishKan). And this all fits since there are 100 (an appellation of Keter) occurrences of the word H’Mizbeach in the Torah, 22 of them through chapter 34 and the carving of the second set of tablets, which terminates the special 5 portion set of 22,000 letters.

And contained within the Hebrew word for “The Alter” (HMzBCh) are the  initials of the 42-Letter Name (Mem-Bet) so integral to the structure of the Torah, the universe, and so necessary for the geula, final redemption.

Within”The Alter” (HMzBCh) the (Mem-Bet) is accompanied by the letters Hey ,Zayin, and Chet whose collective numerical value is 20, “esrim” in Hebrew, of numerical value 620. Individually, the 3 letters sequentially have the values,  5-7-8, as in the year given to us by Rav Ashlag and the tzaddikim, 5778 (2018 ce) for the geula, advent of the Tree-of-life reality.

If you examine the number 620, you’ll see that it is the product of 31 and 20, or 31 x 20 = 620.  As discussed early on in this series 31 is the numerical value of El (G-d) and also L0 (don’t), as in the Commandments not to do things, and while 20 is the numerical value of the letter Yud (YVD) and the word for 20 has the value 620 itself, the 10 Commandments are all in chapter 20 of Exodus, a very important point as you’ll soon see.

Nevertheless, back to the word Mizbeach (MZBCh), which without the prefix “the” has the numerical value 57, meaning the remaining letters would then be Z-CH or 78, thus encoded within the Hebrew word for the Alter, where all the sacrifices are performed, is the simple message “42 and 5778.”

Soon we’ll begin a new series on the construction of the Future Holy Temple as detailed by R’ Chaim Luzzatto of blessed memory. For the moment, we’d like to point out that the Alter in the Future Holy Temple measures 32 x 32 cubits and is in the exact center (heart, lev of numerical value 32) of a series of concentric (nested) symmetrical courtyards, the most inner of which measures 100 x 100 cubits.  We bring this up only for the reference to the 100 times “the alter” is mentioned in the Torah.

To Be or Not To Be

The Hebrew word Eem (EM) of numerical value 41, as in the 41 letters of the spelled out name of G-d, Ehyeh (EHYH) , can translate to mother, Matriarch, matrix, or “if” or “whether,” as it’s used repeatedly in the laws (precepts) of G-d given in the 4 chapters subsequent to the 10 Commandments, which together comprise the special 5 chapters of 22,000 letters.

What makes it so germane to our discussion of the 10 Commandments is that the word EM is found 62 times in Genesis, just like the Name Elohim, which begins and ends with EM.

And, not only is the word EM found 77 times through the 10 Commandments, as in 5778; and 86 (the value of Elohim) times through chapter 21 (the value of Ehyeh); but it’s found another 21 times throughout the 5 portions for a total 107 times through chapter 34, the chapter in which the 2nd set of tablets was received. And 107 is indicative of the sum of all the positive integers through 107, whose collective energy and sum equates to 5778.

Now, the final point to be made today out of all this is that the year 6000, is when most people expect the arrival of Moshiach. But the tzaddikim of blessed memory have arrived at 5778 as the approximate date, and we’ve shown a preponderance of evidence physical, spiritual, comic, and primordial that the prescribed year does indeed appear to be 5778 (2018 ce). So why the discrepancy?

The differential of 6000 – 5778 = 222 years represents the 2 divergent paths forged in the 22,000 letters by the doubts of the Israelites.

Thus when we divide 222 by 358 (Mashiach) and we get 222/358 = .620, keter, and are sent back to the 10 Commandments.

As we get closer to 5778 (2018 ce) it’s important to realize that when we question it should not be of our faith, but only of our understanding.  The reason to question, should be to dig deeper, not to create separation, as our ancestors did the last time they stood at keter.

If you follow the path of the 222 you’ll see that 222 x 26 (YHVH) = 5772, the year 2012 CE, and if you believe in the Mayan calendar prophecies of 12/21/12, you’ll find yourself deep in the trail of doubts, for when those 6 final years before 5778 mimic the Israelites failure to wait 6 hours for Moses’ return with G-d’s Tablets, and the Tree-of-life eternal reality.

We stood there before; we know the routine. This time, let’s get it right.

Of course, just to make sure we had everything we need to get it right this time, the Torah provided us with a road map, and shoved it under our noses every year for the past 3330 years.

And no, it’s not the 10 plagues; It’s the 10 Commandments. They are being played out as right now.

It began in 2001, corresponding to Exodus 20:01 that initiates the Torah’s 70th Chapter, the Keter sequence of the 10 Commandments.  It began with a jolt, a new reality realized on 9/11.

On June 8th, 2002 the prophesied 1370 reign of Ishmael (Islam, 10 years for each of the 137 years of his life) over the Israelites ended. This coincided with the beginning of the 620 letters of the 10 Commandments in Exodus 20:02 “I am God your Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, from the place of slavery.” Like Pharaoh before them, they were not giving up without a fight, which brought us the attack in Mombasa on Nov 28th, 2002.

Exodus 20:03 “Do not have any gods before me”  An earthquake on Dec 26th, 2003 killed 40,000+ people in BaM, Iran, one of the many events Mem-Bet events over this 18 year period.

Exodus 20:04 “Do not represent [such gods] by any carved statue or picture of anything  in the heaven above, on the earth below, or in the water below the land.” Exactly, one year after the earthquake in BaM, on Dec 26th, 2004 230,000 people died from the tsunami (mabul) resulting from the 9.3 Earthquake off the coast of Meulaboh, Indonesia.

In 2008 we were stuck financially, leading to the world markets losing 42% of their value and wide scale loss of jobs (livelihood), while in Exodus 20:08 we were told, “Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.”  And lets not forget it was Erev Rosh Hashannah that September when the NY stock market closed down 5% or 778 pts.  While Exodus 20:08 was the 4th Commandment, 2008 also brought us the attack on/in Mumbai on Nov 26th, Bernie Madoff, and of course, our 44th President, President Barack Obama.

In continuation, Exodus 20:09 and 20:10 insisted no one do anything that constitutes work on the Sabbath, which brings us to today, 2011.

As for this year 2011, Exodus 20:11 tells us that in the six(6) days, God made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on Saturday. God blessed the Sabbath and made it holy. So this year, what we’ll see is events from space, the earth, the sea and all that is in them. It’s no wonder the birds fell from the sky and the fish died on 1/1/2011.

Each one of these fish kill images represents millions of fish and they all occurred in different parts of the world this year, from Louisiana to Scotland to Thailand to Redondo beach California, and we could have posted similar images from several more diverse locations.  Whatever it is, it’s global.

We wrote this section back in January when we began our series on the 10 Commandments; unfortunately, the events have continued with millions and millions of fish washing up ashore last week in California and then the devastating 9.0 earthquake and ensuing tsunami that hit Japan and thus created the terrifying chain of nuclear events that are happening to the 6 reactors there.

In Exodus 20:12 it’s honor your father and mother, then murder, adultery, stealing and false witness in 20:13.

In 20:14, don’t be envious of your neighbor

Then in 20:15 “All the people saw the sounds, the flames, the blast of the ram’s horn, and the smoking mountain.”

Hold on to your hats, folks.

In Exodus 20:16 “If God speaks with us anymore, we will die.”

Then in Exodus 20:17 Moses says, “God only came to you to raise you up.”

And in Exodus 20:18. It ended. “The people kept their distance while Moses entered the mist where the divine was revealed.

This is the road map for the next 7 years. The ministers of the 70 nations are falling rapidly, especially in the Mid-East, as prophesied in the Zohar, including Mubarak of Egypt, who fittingly was forced from his throne on the death anniversary of Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses).

Chapter 20 of Exodus is the 70th chapter of the Torah.  The pinnacle of the Chapter ends at Exodus 20:18: “The people kept their distance while Moses entered the mist where the divine was revealed.” This time it coincides with the 70th anniversary  of Israel becoming a nation in 5778 (2018 ce).

It’s obvious in all this that there was always two choices, two paths.
It’s all about G-d giving us 10 simple rules (commandments) in order to reach the Tree-of-life, and we couldn’t follow them.

Purim is almost upon us, when we take off our masks–by concealing our identity and getting inebriated we’re actually giving ourselves permission to reveal who we truly are–and reveal the truth.

It’s time to take off the masks from the Bible, and see the simple Torah truth. Either we follow G-d’s 10 simple rules, spiritually and physically, or we follow the prescribed consequences.  2 paths, 2 futures, 1 time table.

G-d willing, B’H, we will choose correctly.

The previous installments of The Ten Commandments are here.

How Far is it From Jerusalem To Zion?

Where is Jerusalem? What is Zion? How can the distance to the final redemption be measured? How far away is it? The Torah and Zohar have all the answers.

First, we have to understand what and where is Zion, so let’s turn to Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and the Zohar and the commentary by Rav Yehuda Halevi Ashlag of blessed memory(Hasulam):

32. Acharei Mot : 28. As is done below so is done above
Verse 175. “We have learned that when the Holy One, blessed be He, wanted to create the lower world, He made it all similar to the upper. He made Jerusalem the center of the entire earth, and one place above it called Zion, WHOSE SECRET IS YESOD. It receives blessings from this place. Through this place of Zion, the earth started to be built, and through it the world was built. This is what the verse says, “El Elohim, Hashem, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down thereof” (Tehilim 50:1). From which place? “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, Elohim has shown forth” (Ibid. 2), meaning Elohim did appear from Zion, which is the ultimate beauty of the world. Come and see that Jerusalem, WHICH IS MALCHUT, was blessed only from Zion, WHICH IS YESOD, and Zion WAS BLESSED from above, MEANING ZEIR ANPIN. Everything is one, one bonded into one, AS ZEIR ANPIN AND MALCHUT, THE SECRET OF ONE ON ONE, ARE JOINED BY ZION.”

29. Shmini : 2. Zion and Jerusalem
Verse 11. “Rabbi Pinchas opened the discussion with the verse: “Hashem shall bless you out of Zion and you shall see the good of Jerusalem” (Tehilim 128:5). AND HE ASKS: Why “out of Zion”? HE ANSWERS: Because FROM ZION, WHICH IS THE YESOD OF MALCHUT, all blessings come out to all, as it is written: “For there Hashem has commanded the blessings, even eternal life” (Tehilim 133:3). Hence, “Hashem shall bless you out of Zion,” since from there blessings emanate to everything. “And you shall see the good of Jerusalem.” For the sake of Zion, Jerusalem – WHICH IS MALCHUT – is blessed, BECAUSE ZION IS THE YESOD OF MALCHUT and Mercy rests there. When Jerusalem is blessed, all the people are blessed.”

We can understand from these and many other references to Zion in the Zohar that Zion is a spiritual place, a point above the physical Jerusalem, which is manifest in Malchut. In terms of the tree-of-life, Zion is Yesod of Malchut.  There are 10 Major sefirot (dimensions) in the Tree-of-life and each are subdivided into 10 similar ones, thus 10 x 10 sefirot.  The bottom most (the 100th one) is Malchut which just receives from the others and the one on the scale just above it (say the 99th one), is Yesod of Malchut. It is from this point that all the light (energy, life-force) from all the others gets channeled through. This is Zion.

The further removed we are from Zion, the further away we are from purity and from the life-sustaining light. We need to know how far we have to climb for Malchut of Malchut to join with Yesod of Malchut to become one with the Light, with G-d, with the Tree-of-life reality. That answer was given to us by the Torah.

From Jerusalem (M’Yerushalem, MYRVShLYM) To Zion (B‘TzYVN). The prefixes, “From” and “To,” “Mem” and “Bet,” are the designated letters  (MB) that add up to 42, and that the Torah uses to initialize all spiritual journeys, including all 42 times that the Israelites journeyed in their 40-year trek from exile to the Promised Land.

These letters (MB) are also representative of the Shem Mem-Bet, the 42-Letter Name of G-d, that is Zeir Anpin and where we can find Zion hidden in Yesod of Malchut.  If you will, please notice that in the center of the last line of the 42-Letter Name matrix are the letters Vav-Tzadi-Yud, preceded by the letter Koof which is composed of a Caf or Resh and a final (sofit) letter Nun. Thus we have the letters Tzadi-YudVav-Nun sofit which spells TzYVN (ZION).

This is not coincidence; it is a gateway, but being that as it may, how to we go from Jerusalem to Zion, in order to receive all the blessings of the final redemption.

So the question must first be how do we measure spiritual distance? We can’t use a tape measure because there isn’t a rope, not even an invisible one that stretches from one dimension to the next. The only thing that spans that distance is energy, and the only way to measure this energy is with gematria, for in spirituality distance is measured by similarity of form and that is what gematria reads, how similar or dissimilar an objects energy is.

When we add up the gematria value of “From Jerusalem (M’Yerushalim, MYRVShLYM) To Zion (BTzYVN)” we get 2017, or maybe 2018 with the Kolel, given that Abraham’s journey and thus the entire Israelite and monotheistic journey began in 2018 HC at paragraph 42 in the Torah.

So how close are we?

The events predicted by Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai in the Zohar are being played out including the revelations of kabbalah and the secrets of the Ana B’koach, the 42-Letter Name, the 70 years of Israel being a Nation, the role of the secret Rome, and more…

Well, what else has followed our society’s spiritual journey lately?

The attack in Mombasa on Nov 28th, 2002; the earthquake in Bam, Iran on Dec 26th 2003; the Tsunami (mabul) off the coast of Meulaboh, Indonesia on Dec 26th 2004; the attack on/in Mumbai on Nov 26th 2008;  Bernie Madoff on Dec 11th, 2008; the massive blackbird kill on Jan 1, 2011 (1/1/11) at Beebee, Arkansas; Mubarak’s downfall on Jan 26th, 2011 and ultimate ouster on the hillula of Moshe Rabbeinu, Feb 11th, 2011. Of course, there is President Obama, and now the Muslim Brotherhood.

As for the 11’s, they could relate to the 11 sefirot, etc, but 26 is definitely the numerical value of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH).  And some would say that the ultimate 11 was on 9/11/01 with the attach on the Borough of Manhattan.  In our on-going series on the 10 Commandments, we’ll soon see how this all ties together.

Don’t see the connection? Need a divine oracle? Seeing as this week’s Torah portion was Tetzaveh, how about using the high Priest’s Breastplate and garments, the Choshen and the Urim and Tumim. No, it’s true they are no longer available to us but they did house and rely on the divine power of the Shem Mem-Bet (42-Letter Name) that is still very much available to us. And while the numerical value of Choshen is 358, the same as Moshiach (Messiah), the numerical value (gematria complete sofit) of the Urim and the Tumim (HEVRYM V’HTMYM) with the kolel is 2018 yet again.

Thus even without its presence today, we can understand the chazal’s explanation that the understanding of the Shem Mem-Bet with bring about the geula (final redemption) and Rav Yehuda Ashlag of blessed memory’s explanation that the Moshiach will be manifest in 2018 (5778).

The distance shortens everyday. Are we ready? Remember, 3330 years ago, the distance narrowed to zero, but we weren’t ready. Are we ready today?

Shavua Tov

Cause and Effect; The Signs of our Time.

This past week I witnessed a series of events unfold and the consequences of these events for many of us who are on spiritual paths is substantial.

Usually I delve into deep secrets of Kabbalah and spirituality revealed through the gematria of the Torah verses, but there’s a more critical issue facing all of us and deeper secrets to be revealed by the unfolding evens in our daily lives. Previously, I’ve warned about how as we approach the geula (final redemption), the cycle of cause and effect is greatly speeding up and how this manifests as both curses and blessings depending on how we view them and whether we’ve understood their messages. And I’ve also explained briefly what every kabbalist knows that the spiritual path is the most difficult one as it’s fraught with ever more present obstacles (tests) and if you’re not reading the messages, these potholes in your path become pits.

One of the secrets that the Arizal reveals about Joseph’s tribulation with being thrown in the pit, is that the Hebrew word for pit has the gematria value of 208, the same as Isaac, which represents the side of Gevura and judgment. our task is to read the signs, realize when we’re facing a karmic (tikun) punishment (or judgment), accept that it’s being meted out with mercy (chesed), love deep into ourselves for the spiritual root (cause) of our situation, correct it, and move on to a higher spiritual level. Because, if we fail these tests, they will only get worse, more intense, and as we get closer to the arrival of Mashiach, more destructive, devastating and frequent.

This past week I witnessed a series of events unfold. Because of the dreams that immediately proceeded them I was clued in and almost waiting to see how they would unfold in the physical world, which brings up the point of parsha Miketz, in case you missed it, spiritual dreams precede physical actions, the spiritual precedes the physical, which tells us nothing happens that’s not for a preordained reason and that everything happens (whether we see it for good or bad) with divine intent in it. And that means with mercy in it, no matter how terrible and dark it may look to us, even as bad as being thrown into a pit of vipers and scorpions by our own brothers.

Before I get into the incidents, which not coincidentally happened during parsha Miketz, when Joseph became ruler over Egypt and reunited with Jacob and his brothers, it’s interesting and relevant to note that Joseph was born in the year 2200 HC, and that Joseph (yesod of zeir anpin), as a reflection and as the central column continuation of this father Jacob (tiferet) each experienced their own personal exiles of 21 years for a total of 42 years. Jacob toiled for 21 years with Laban and Joseph in Egypt separated from his Dad. Each of the two 21-year intervals was a tithing to the 210 years of exile in Egypt, but together the 42 years presents the Shem Mem-Bet (42-Letter Name of G-d) associated with all the significant Biblical journeys and according to chazal with the coming of Moshiach. It was also in chapter 42 of Bereshit that Joseph was reunited with his brothers, bringing an end to his isolation.

The other significant connection to the incidents lies in the timing of Joseph’s birth, 248 years before the end of the Egyptian exile and the reception of the Torah at Sinai, because 248 is the numerical value of Abraham. And as an aside, at the time of their reuniting, Jacob was 130, as in the numerical value of Sinai, and Joseph was 38, the age that the Arizal passed on, but seeing as the events of the past week occurred during chanukah, it is very relevant that Joseph’s birth in 2200 HC was exactly 44 jubilee (the Biblical 50-year interval) years after the birth of Adam, as in the 44 candles light during Chanukah. Moreover, 2200 HC is the year 1560 BCE and 156 is both the numerical value of Joseph and the collective number of candles we light over Chanukah, when taking into account the spiritual aspect that every candle we light stays lit for the full 8 days (see our blog on the Chanukah meditations of the Ari for details).

And just to complete the scenario, Joseph’s birth in 2200 HC is 71.56 jubilee years before chazal’s prophesied date for Moshiach, 5778 HC, which is also 66.6 jubilee years from the reception of the Torah on Sinai, and since Chanukah (of numerical value 89) is all about lighting teh candles to bring H’Moshiach to the world, it’s not surprising that 89 x 40.2 = 3,577.8, the exact number of years from Joseph’s birth in 2200 HC to the final redemption in 5778 HC, and that 2200 is 38.0% of 5778, alluding to the Arizal again, and also to Egypt (of numerical value 380), a kabbalistic code word for darkness, and as explained in the Zohar, its true meaning is Meitzer Yam (Constriction of the sea, which is significant because the constricted flow of light into Egypt was relieved while Joseph was alive as he (his energetic archetype) controls the sefira (dimension) of yesod of zeir anpin, the choke point (or funnel point) of light into our world from the upper reservoirs. And it’s this very point that we open up for the world when we light the 156 Chanukah candles and the holy river of divine sustenance, Nachal (L‘hadlik Ner Chanukah) flows through.

This past week, during Chanukah and the period of time influence by the energy of Miketz, I witnessed a series of events that while having serious consequences for those involved, has even greater value for the lessons it teaches all of us. Now, it must be said that none of the people directly involved to my knowledge knew each other in this lifetime and many of them are very high level souls, and all of which were Orthodox Jews, most of whom were from Chabad. I also want to preface this by saying that as been told to us time and again by chazal and as has been related in so many stories of the Baal Shem Tov and other Tzaddikim, the higher our spiritual level the less leeway we have for transgressions, and even minor transgressions need correction, but in these days, with only 10 years to go until 5778, everyone on the spiritual path will be forced to correct their transgressions, and to see the results of them first hand and nearly immediately.

While attending a Chanukah craft and activities festival in a Chasidic storefront last Wednesday afternoon, a mother had overstayed the patience of her rambunctious very young boy and while she was checking out, he almost inexplicably veered off his course and dashed toward the window display, reached in, and accidentally knocked over the Lucite dreidel vessel that was holding all the little colorful dreidels of which people were supposed to guess their quantity.

The Chasidic Rabbi overseeing the event and witnessing the situation promptly demanded $175 for the the broken Lucite and asked no questions. The woman said she’d be back with a check the next day.

As this was a Chasidic event, representing chesed and as 175 was the lifespan of Abraham Avinu, who always represents chesed, she instinctively knew and was further counseled to pay the asked for amount, in the same way that Abraham paid the 400 shekels for Machpelah without negotiating. Bli ayn hara, the family accepted that they were forced by divine light to make this sacrifice in order to ameliorate some unknown heavenly decree of judgment with possibly worse consequences. And so with a full heart they returned the next day, Thursday afternoon, and sought out the rabbi.

He refused to interrupt what he was doing to attend to them, even though it was the moment’s inattention that opened the window for the incident to occur on his watch the day before, then when he was ready he took the check coldly and dismissed the mother and child rather coldly without speaking with the boy and seeing who he really was.

There is a spiritual tenet that anyone who comes into our life does so for a divine reason; they are there for us. There was a time when we could ignore them, but not now. Now, all of us who have taken on the spiritual mantel are all being looked upon as tzaddiks and accordingly held to much higher standards.

The boy couldn’t have cared less if the rabbi spoke to him and he received a just punishment from his parents for his physical actions, and from the family’s perspective, the transaction was done whether the Rabbi saw the spiritual significance or not.

But as a witness to these events, it’s my opportunity and indeed job to seek out the holy sparks in the events as I point out the lessons to be learned. I can’t speak for what was in the rabbi’s head, and maybe he did do some serious self-reflection, but I can relate what unfolded thereafter, as today, even the slightest lapse is going to have serious, sometimes grave consequences and we must come to understand that.

We must understand and live our lives with the understanding that every physical action is preceded by spiritual ones and that every physical challenge is an opportunity to overcome a tikune before it really manifests, and that all events in our universe are connected, just like our souls.

Had the events unfolded differently it would have been revealed that the family was so poor that they didn’t even have rent money and that the boy was a special needs child. It is our individual duty to bring in as much light into a situation as possible, and the date was the 5th day of Chanukah, December 25th, erev Rosh Chodesh; what more powerful time for channeling the divine light of chasidim (mercy, loving-kindness) was there? The opportunity was missed.

A short hour later, a BMW SUV almost inexplicably veered off the road, and drove right through the Lucite display of another Chasidic Chanukah event storefront and didn’t stop until it reached the back of the shop and several children and adults were seriously injured.

We cannot know our tikun, but more than ever we are our brother’s keepers. More than ever we have to make every effort, go the extra mile to treat everyone with human dignity, compassion, and love. If we don’t take every advantage of every situation to look inside ourselves, there will be unfortunate consequences. How can I be sure I’ve connected the dots correctly here, because the very next day, I witnessed yet another car inexplicably go through a store front window and I knew it was my job to get the word out. As with His codes in the Torah, G-d can be very redundant. Things will be repeated over and over until the message gets across.

This event happened almost exactly one month after the devastating attack on Chabad house in Mumbai. Chabad does so much good, so why them? Because G-d has always held his righteous to higher standards, and just as Noach was no Abraham, the Torah tells us he was a righteous man for his times. We are certainly no Noach’s, and for the most part not tzaddikim, but for our times, we are the new righteous, and it’s up to all of us to uphold the world.

The root word for glass in Hebrew is Zach (Zayin, Caf = 27). it relates to purity and clear, as in without blemish (that is the reason to why clear glass items are Kosher for Meat and Dairy), but a broken glass is sign for us to break something inside to let the light in and out. In prior times it was enough to remove the opaque veils of klippot, now, in these end times, we must remove the transparent ones as well, for even as Zach (glass) has a numerical value of 3 x3x3, “the darkness” has a value of 333, and thus even transparent blockages can keep us separated.

Moreover, the shattering of the glass and the the Lucite vessel reflects the shattering of the vessels in Tohu, and reminds us all of our duty to pick-up and collect the holy sparks of this world of tikun. As the letters on the dreidel (H,SH, G,N) add up to 358, the value of Moshiach, the message is emphasized that picking up the smaller individual dreidels (Moshiachs) is what’s necessary, not one big showy one.

Glass windows are coming down everywhere, veils being pulled back. We were all witnesses to the price thousands of Orthodox Jews and Jewish institutions and charities paid because of their dealings with Bernie Madoff. There was a $50 billion veil there that no one saw.

We know from chazal that it is the understanding of the Shem Mem-bet (the 42-letter name of G-d, the Ana B’Koach) that will bring about the geula, so just as Noach’s flood, Malbul, was a sign of G-d displeasure with Man, we can trace the signs of the Mem-Bet to see where we have to work harder. The first line of the Shem Mem-Bet has the same numerical value as unconditional love; it’s also the same complete numerical value as Mashiach Ben David. Five years ago, this very week, December 26th, there was an earthquake in BaM Iran where 50,000 people died. And exactly one year later, also on December 26th, an earthquake off the coast of MeulaBoh, caused a tsunami that killed 225,000. The attack of 9/11 hit at the financial center of America in downtown Manhattan Borough, the same place the financial crisis hit again in earnest that same week 7 years later. G-d is nothing if not redundant.

And the messages will keep coming. We all need to listen, but listening is not enough; we all need to take the initiative to change ourselves and bring loving kindness to the world.

We need to look on our messengers with compassion, look into ourselves for correction, and then reach out to the needy. We revere our Ravs, now we must emulate them. From here on out, it’s vitally important for all of us to treat one another with human dignity and to extend to them our love. Eliyahu Hanavi does not revel himself to you when he greets you; your actions after greeting him must merit that. We must treat everyone we meet as if they might be Eliyahu Hanavi, or even H’Mashiach. B”H, May all our actions, merit the revelation of H’Moshiach.

What We Need is a Leader!

We need a leader. What does a leader do?

Provide direction. What direction are we going now? Anyone know?

That’s why we need a leader.

There have been several great Patriarchs and numerous great tzaddikim (righteous souls) but only 3 leaders in Biblical history that the kabbalists have connected to the Messiah and the final redemption: Yosef (Joseph), Moshe (Moses) and King David.

The front pages of todays papers show Israeli soldiers dragging Israelis from their homes. Three days after 173 people were killed in MumBai and devout Jews were massacred in their home. Is this direction? What message is being sent to the world? To the spiritual world?

Can anyone think that giving up the entrance to the Cave and the Home of the Patriarchs (Machpelah) will bring peace to Israel, to the world. What spiritual message is that sending?

Can anyone think that giving most of Israel to the Palestine’s will solve the problems of the disgruntled masses throughout Arabia or their monarchies who need scapegoats? What about Iran; do they really care if Palestine is a state?

Can anyone think that giving away Israeli land and homes will bring peace to Israel, the world? How egocentric is that thought? It’s saying that all the world’s problems and anger are based on whether you possess a plot of land or not. Do you really think there would be peace in the world, in the mid-east, if Israel gave away everything and ceased to exist? Of course not. People fight all over the world over every little thing whether there are Jews present or not. And they fought fierce devastating battles all over the world for the 5708 Biblical years before Israel had any land at all. Giving up the land is NOT the answer.

Peace will never come from giving up land. It will come from giving up ego.

Peace will never come from Jews fighting (arguing with) Jews. It will come from unity.

Why is peace so hard to come by? Because it is so hard to forgo our egos and unify.

We all have our opinions, but until we all realize that they are irrelevant. If you’re angry right now with that statement, that is ego, and that is exactly what we all need to cut out of ourselves. Because that means that we value our individual opinions more than peace, more than Mashiach (Messiah) consciousness.

That’s why we need a leader. We need someone to rally around and whose opinions we follow without trying to bring him down by opposing him with our own.

That Israel was granted statehood and land in 1948 CE, 70 years before the prophesied date of the Mashiach and the Geula, the final redemption in 2018 (5778) was no fluke. It was divinely arranged. As can be read and should be read in The Divine Calendar, Abraham was born in 1948 HC and G-d made his Covenant with Abraham in 2018 HC, and the midpoint of King David’s 70 year life was in 2889 HC, the midpoint from Adam to Messiah in 5778.

We, our generation, have been given the right (not a foregone conclusion) to enter Zion. Moses prayer 515 times, every hour from Rosh Hashannah to Hoshanna Rabba for that right. G-d asked him to stop because on the 516th time his wish would have been granted. But that wasn’t the timing G-d wanted. 66.6 jubilee years ago in 2448 HC, we proved we weren’t ready during Moses 40 day absence. What does that say about our ability to succeed without a leader. He was gone for only 40 days.

Here is a secret about Rosh Hashannah and also about that absence and what was missing:

Rosh Hashannh (RESh HShNH), the head of the year (you can see the blog on the letters and cosmos as to why it is the head of the year) can be split up into (REShH ShNH), making the numerical value 506 and the second word as Shanah, year. The value 506 is synonymous with Ahavatchinam, “Unconditional Love” and is not only the value of the first line of the 42-Letter Name (Ana B’koach), but a value repeated 3 times in it’s last 7 letters. The hidden measure is Rosh Hashannh is the moment in the cosmic calendar that we can tap into “Unconditional Love.” The other message for those that want to know, is that that cosmic energy is available to us whenever we do the the Ana B’koach with the conviction we bring to Rosh Hashannah. Incidentally, most kabbalists agree that the 42-Letter Name was what the high priest recited in the Holy of Holies.

Now, the other secret here is in the 40 days. In order for the Messiah to be present, the comsos must be properly aligned, which mean all 3 primordial letters (energy archetypes) must be present, and as per the Sefer Yetzirah, Abraham’s Book of Formation, these are the 3 Mothers: Alef, Mem, Shin (EMSh). In the year 2448, on Rosh Hashannah, RESh HShNH, the Alef (E) and Shin (Sh), only the Mem was missing. Moshe himself, embodied and carried the spiritual energy of the primordial letter Mem, spelled (MM), and mem has the numerical value of 40, so if the Israelites had waited 40 days, and Moshe would have appeared as scheduled the Mem would have been complete and the 3 Mothers (EMSh) would have been cosmically aligned. The first Mem would have gone to Rosh REShM, making a numerical value of 541, Israel, and incidentally that would have lined up the 7 Doubles (BGDCPRT) as well, but that’s for another blog).

And the second Mem would have gone to HShNH, making MHNSh or (MHSh N), or (HShM, N), or (MShH,N). The secrets here are multiple, as the numerical value of these 4 letters is 395, that of H’Shama’im, (Heaven) and the letters MShH spell Moshe (Moses), and permute into Hashem (HShM) and also the 5th of the 72 Names (triplets), the one for healing, MHSh. Moreover, the letter Nun (N) has the numerical value of 50, representing the 50 Gates of Binah (understanding) that the we will reach when Mashiach arrives and that Moses was at and only 1 hour short on that 50th day from the 1st of Elul (Rosh Chodesh Elul) to Hoshannah Rabba. And if you recall, it was on the 1st of Elul that Moses ascended for the 2nd set of Tablets. And one more secret embedded here is that the 3 non-primordial letters spell H’NR, “The Candle.” It was the Light in the darkness that we missed then. All it took that time was one more candle.

In another vein, the kabbalistic secret is that the numerical values for Yosef (Joseph), Moshe (Moses) and David add up to 156 + 345 + 14 = 515. It will take 1 more leader to reach 516.

Another kabbalah secret, or Bible code is you will, is that the final letters of Torah phrases point to the future, and we must add 1 more to the final letters of Yosef (Joseph), Moshe (Moses) and David (PHD) to get the value of King (Melech), of numerical value 90. In the same way, if we replace David with the appellation King David, it still takes exactly 1 more to get 611, the numerical value of Torah.

Anyway you look at it we need 1 more, an alef, the leader to get where we want to go. The alef stands for Adam (EDM), in the Adam-David-Mashiach, but we’re not expecting Adam to come back; rather, we’re expected to reunite back as one soul as we were in Adam. One (1) stands for one (1) soul united. And we can’t unite unless we have one (1) leader to get behind. And that leader won’t appear unless we set aside our egos, personal agendas and desires and make a space (makom) for the Messiah (H’Mashiach) to enter.

Collectively the 3 leaders lived exactly 300 years, 6 jubilee years, which means we’ve been more or less direction-less for 5478 years, and 3330 since the giving of the Torah. Patriarchs, Prophets, Rabbis, and even some important Kings have filled in many of the gaps, and Torah has sustained us throughout, but now, more than ever, we a leader for the final push to the end of darkness, which incidentally has the numerical value of 333.

300 is the gematria for various Names of G-d (YHVH, Elohim, etc) in multiple way but we don’t need proof of Yosef’s, Moshe’s or David’s divine empowerment; what we need is a leader for the next 9 years, a period that promises to be full of turmoil and darkness. We don’t have a lot of time. Let’s all make the effort to make the space for the Messiah.

The final letters of Adam-David-Mashiach (MDCh) sum to, alternatively, 52, signifying Malchut, our world, physicality, and 612, using sofit/final letter gematria), which is the numerical value of Brit, Covenant. The Covenant is meant to be fulfilled. And we know when. Who it gets fulfilled for depends on our actions in the physical world, not how much we pray. It can be for everyone, but only if we’re united. To unite, we must individually make the choice and vow that this is what we really want. Then we must set our egos aside and let the Messiah in.

If we continue thinking only about ourselves, we will get want we desire, total chaos, darkness.

When you add light (Or) to darkness, you get 207 + 333 = 540. Add 1and you get 541, Israel

But add “the Light” (H’Or) to darkness, and you get 212 + 333 = 545. Add 1and you get 546, the Tree-of-Life.

Once we decide that that is what we really want we will get it. We will get our leader.

Make space in your hearts, yes, but even more important, make space in your lives for the One (1).

And once we give up the ego and the personal agendas, they won’t want the land. The entire world listened to Joseph. Four times as many people from other nations followed Moses than there were Israelites with him. And because of David we had the Holy Temple, and as the Zohar describes, him , David was Rosh Goyim, head of all the nations.  They wont desire the land anymore; they will desire the Light, the Messiah.

B”H we find the strength within us to make room for H’Mashiach.
