As a brief interlude in our series on the secrets of the 10 Commandments and also of the Shema Yisrael, we wanted to point a hidden secret in the phrase 40 days and 40 nights that appeared at the end of this week’s portion, Mishpatim.
8 times the phrase 40 days and 40 nights, or arba’im yom v’arba’im lilah (ERBAYM YVM VERBAYM LYLH) appears in the Torah. The first 2 times it refers to the flood that wiped clean the planet and the rest of the times it refers to Moses ascent on Sinai to bring back the 2 tablets.
Let’s note first that the letter Yud(Y) is present in each word, (ERBAYM YVM VERBAYM LYLH)totaling the value 40, so obviously not a coincidence. These 4 Yuds (YYYY) correspond to the 4 Yuds for healing which is turn trace their source to the 4 Yuds that begin the 4 aspects of the Tetragrammaton (AV, SAG, MAH, BAN).
Nevertheless, what we really wanted to point out is that like the orbit of planet Jupiter, the 5th planet, whose orbit is 778.5 million Km around the Sun, whose temperature is 5778 K, the numerical value of the phrase 40 days and 40 nights, or arba’im yom v’arba’im lilah (ERBAYM YVM VERBAYM LYLH) is 778 though the final Hey, whose numerical value is 5.
Since in Hebrew dates are described by their final 3 digits (778) and since the final H (5) represents the world of Malchut, our world, as it does in the Tetragrammaton (YHVH), this designation within phrase 40 days and 40 Nights makes total sense.
Now, the 20 (esrim) letters in the phrase connect it to keter, the highest sefira (dimension) and the complete gematria value (ordinal plus standard) plus the kolel for the letters also connects it to keter, because it works out to 1000, but there is still something about these 4 words that troubles me.
They are mentioned 8 times and refer to events that happened in 1658 and 2448 respectively, 790 years apart. When we add up the gematria sofit of the letters without that same final H, we get 2458, which is 10 more than the year 2448, but it does makes the difference a more perfect 800.
We are used to things in the Torah working our perfectly and when the don’t there is usually a reason for it. I mean 8 times the 80 (40 plus 40) days/nights are mentioned over 800 years would have been perfect, especially since Noach has the numerical value 58 and there are exactly 58 words, verses and letters in the Torah (the 5 Books of Moses).
Of course, Noach and the flood was the 10th generation from Adam, and the 10 Commandments were received in 2448, and they were both really about the 10 sefirot of the Tree-of-life, so since 5778 is the year 2018 and 2018 is 10 years after 2008 and 5778 is 3330 years after 2448 and 3330/1658 = 2.008, maybe all 3 dates and the phrase 40 days and 40 nights hint to the rectification of the 10 sefirot of the Tree-of-life in the final 10 years to 2018 (5-778).
We’ll return to part III in our series on the 10 Commandments shorty as they are truly the highpoint in the Torah and for us, contain the most important revelation to date.
