Every bit of the Torah has meaning beyond meaning and a purpose beyond purpose. In our previous article we spoke about Egypt being a code word for the “straits (constriction) of the Sea” with the sea (YM) being a code word itself for the 50 gates of Binah. The Arizal takes it a step further and says that the word for Egypt is also a constriction of the Holy Name “Who (MY)” which is comprised of the final 2 letters in the Holy Name Elohim (ELHYM), and moreover that (MY) likewise represents the 50 Gates of Binah. He referenced Isaiah 40:26 “Lift up your eyes on high, and see who (MY) created all this,” and explained that besides “Who” being connected to Binah and thus Understanding, the word for “All” used in this verse is spelled Eileh is spelled (E-L-H) as in the first 3 letters of Elohim.
The Book of Numbers, called Bamidbar (BMDBR) in Hebrew, doesn’t mean Numbers, but Wilderness, usually referring the desert, such as the Sinai Desert. And while it’s true that Numbers are a Wilderness, the important number is the number of journeys that is took the Israelites to cross the wilderness, which is also the number of journeys that it takes us and our souls to cross our wilderness. According to the Torah, the Sages and Tzaddikim that number is 42.
Even though the process of the 42 journeys began on the far side of the End Sea (YM SVP), the Torah tells us in portion Beha’alotcha that the Israelite Journey began here on the 2nd day of the 2nd month of the 2nd year (222). It was right after we learned about the 8 days of sacrifices, which can be connected to the arrival of Moshiach on or about 5778 as will be explained later, and also right after the final approved construction of the Tabernacle on the 8th day. Since the Torah is always consistent once you understand the madness, we see that 2 x 2 x 2 = 8 and that this new journey into the Wilderness begins in the 64th or 8 x 8th Paragraph of Bamidbar.
The word Bamidbar (BMDBR) has the same numerical value (248) as Ramak (RMCh), meaning spear, which is most appropriate as the “spear i”s symbolized by the simple letter Vav (ו) of numerical 6, which kabbalistically represents the 6 sefirot (dimensions) of Zeir Anpin, as does the 4th Book of Moses, Bamidbar.
The 42-Letter Name of G-d, abbreviated (MB) also represents Zeir Anpin (the 6 dimensions of Heaven) as it acts as our link between Malchut (M) and Binah (B). Therefore, it’s not so surprising that Bamidbar (BMDBR) permutes to (DBR MB), which means say (speak) the 42-Letter Name. And we know from Chazal that it is the understanding of the 42-Letter Name (MB) that will bring about the geula (final redemption).
As you know by now, it all emanates through the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) and the sum of the two numerical values of the spelled-out aspects of the YHVH that represent Malchut (52) and Binah (63) is 115, as in the 115 jubilee years (50-year intervals) from Adam to Moshiach in 5778. Moreover the relationship between Zeir Anpin and malchut can be expressed as 6/52 = .11538
The numerical value of the initials of the six (6) chapters that span the Behar-Bechukotai combination of 57and78 verses respectively though Bamidbar with its Phi and 5778 connections and through the Naso-Beha’alotecka Chanukah/sacrifices and 5778 connections through the portion of Shech Lecha (BBBNBSh) equates to 358, the same as Mashiach. These 6 parshot (portions) represent 6 of 54 or exactly 1/9th of the Torah’s 54 portions. These 6 parshot also represent 17 of 187 chapters, or exactly 1//11th of the Torah’s 187 chapters.
Maybe that’s just coincidence, though nothing in the Torah is coincidental. Our lack of understanding is just that: our lack of understanding, not a lack of meaning or significance.
These are secrets true and sure, but what we should take away from this is that as our journey through the wilderness gets difficult you should, “Lift up your eyes on high, and see who (MY) created all this.”
The deepest secret of all is coming up shortly.

We were told to count to 50, yet every year we count to 49, and let G-d count the 50th day for us? But that’s not what we were told to do.
As an adjunct to our last Article on the splitting of the Torah at Bamidbar (Numbers) Chapter 1 into the precise Phi proportions and to the connection to the year 5778 (2018 CE), we’d like to add a secret about the 12 tribes, actually 13, listed in the 54 verses of Bamidbar chapter 1. They appear to be listed haphazardly, but that is anything from the truth. The sages and the Zohar tell us that they are listed in a specific in order for us to connect through them to the stars and to destiny, but there is a deeper, never been reveled secret about them as well.
The 13 initials in there order of appearance are R for Reuben, then Sh for Shimon, then G for Gad, then Y for Yehuda, then Y for Issacar, then Tz for Tzebelun, then E for Ephraim, then M for Menash, then B for Benjamin, then D for Dan, then E for Asher, then N for Naphtali, then finally L for Levi.
As you may have noticed the initials M-B as in the 42-Letter Name (MB Shemot) appears in the middle of them, the Name the sages have said is necessary for bringing about the Geula (final redemption), but what the true secret is that that the first 11 Names add up to 577 and the final 2 to 80, a well-conceived allusion to 5778-0, especially considering that the prior two portions in the Torah had 57-78 verse respectively.
They are further arranged so that the 6 tribes numbered 4 through 9 would add up to 70, as in the 70 Nations, the 70 years of King David, and the last 70 years from when Israel became a Nation in 5708 HC.
In his commentaries on this portion (Bamidbar) the Arizal discusses the reason that the Levites were counted from age 30 and everyone else from age 20. In essence, it is because the Levites represent the left side of the Tree-of-Life, the side of Gevurah, which is comprised of the 5 crowns (or proto Gevurah) within the sefira (dimension) of Da’at; the 5 midot (emotional expressions) of Gevurah within Zeir Anpin that are the dimensions of Chesed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach and Hod; and the 5 manifesting stages of Gevurah within the dimension of Yesod, for a total of 15. Since there are male and female aspects to each, the total is 15 plus 15 or 30. 30 is also the numerical value for the letter Lamed (L), the initial of the tribe of Levi.
Not coincidentally, Lamed is one of the two central letters of the Hebrew alef-bet, the other being Caf (C), nor is it coincidental that that complete numerical value (standard plus ordinal) is 42; or that the complete value of Caf(C)is 31, that of El (G-d); or that the complete value of Caf-Lamed (CL), spelling Kol, meaning “All (everyone)”, is 73, the same as Chochma (wisdom). And using a little known, but highly revelatory form of ancient gematria we see at the essence of the letters Caf-Lamed (CL): (42 x 31)/(42+31) = 26.04, the sum of the 4 letters of the Tetragreammatom (YHVH), which oddly enough is the same as 2 x (42 x 31), which is also = 2604, further emphasizing this important connection.
The Beginning
Nevertheless, the letter Lamed(L) as seen from above starts out as a point, becomes a straight line and spirals into a circle, a metaphor for the formation of the universe as described in Rav Ashlag’s Ten Luminous Emanations. It’s one of two letters that spiral; the other being the letter Pe(P), and as we’re told by Abraham, The Patriarch in his Sefer Yetzirah (The Book of Formation) these are the two letters (PL) that control (have dominion over) the month of Tishrei, which begins with Rosh HaShannah. This is also why the sequence of the counting of the tribes begins with the word for counting (Pekudaihem) and ends with Levi, thus (PL).
Now, the letter (P) forms a more natural recognizable spiral, and thus is associated with the spiraling numerical constant Phi, as opposed to the Letter (L), which is associated with the mathematical constant Pi, as would be appropriate for a line becoming a circle.
What bother these letters also have in common is that they are both composed of the letters Caf (C) and Vav(V) as in (CV), representing the number 26, associated with the Tetragrammaton (YHVH). Nevertheless, it’s their association together within the letter Alef (ELP) that is significant to our discussion. The letter Alef (E), as prototypical energy, existed before the Torah and thus physical existence began and it was comprised of an upper and lower Yud(Y) with two Vavs(V) splitting apart the two Yuds (Y). It was from the lower Yud (Y) that a sea of energy emanated and formed the skeletal structure of out universe, and within that sea were the mathematical constants Pi and Phi (represented by L and P)to guide the currents of physicality. Thus was completed the Alef (ELP) prior to the Bet (B) of the Torah.
We spoke earlier of the 15 aspects of Gevurah (the filter of judgment) represented by the Lamed(L), but there are also 15 aspects of Chesed (loving kindness) to balance them out, making 30 aspects in total, which happens to be the ordinal value of E-L-P (the letter Alef spelled out). Now the letter Alef, (E) has a letter value 1 and the spelled out letter’s numerical value is 111, or Oneness in every sense of the word. And from that oneness came everything (kol).
In this portion of Bamidbar, Moses counted all the Israelites over the age of 20 except the Levites, which he counted over the age of 30, together they represented 20+30 or Caf(C) plus Lamed (L) making CL (kol), everyone. And 20+30 = 50, as in the 50 days which we were told by G-d to count in preparation for receiving the Torah in marriage every year at Shavuot. This is just as it was when the 600,000 Israelites counted the 50 days in the desert (bamidbar) from the crossing of the “End Sea” (Yam Suf) to the reception of the 10 Commandments and the Tree-of-life reality (10 sefirot/dimensional existence beyond physicality) at Mt Sinai.
Of course, 600/50 = 12, as in the 12 Tribes that Moses was counting.
And if you recall, Pharaoh sent and lost at sea his 600 choice chariots (governing angels) in that same sea crossing, so it’s not coincidental that 20 x 30 = 600 or that “sea” (YM) has a numerical value of 50. Nor is it coincidental that the Torah mentions the exodus 50 times יציאת מצרים, which literally means going out of the “straits of the sea” מצר ים.
A Deeper Code
A clue to the depth of the Torah encoding is further found within the word which we broke down above “straits of the sea” מצר ים, since two of the first three letters (Resh-Zaddi) represent the central core (heart) of the 42-Letter Name Matrix and the third letter Mem (numerical value 40) represents the rest of the 40 letters. This was in the same was that CL was at the core/heart of the alef-bet. And since we know from the sages and tzaddikim, including the Baal Shem Tov of blessed memory that the 42-Letter Name represents not only the 42 journeys that the Israelites made in the desert (BMDBR) but the 42 journeys we much make in life and the 42 journeys of our soul on the way to redemption, we may infer that going out of the “straits of the sea” מצר ים is also exiting through the 42-Letter Name.
Counting 50
As discussed in previous articles, the Torah repeatedly insists that we count the 50-year jubilee cycle and first tells us to do so in the first chapter of the Behar-Bechukatai 57-78 connection. Nowadays, because there is no Temple, we pretty much ignore that command. Are we making a mistake?
Should we be counting 50?
Yitro (Jethro), whose gematria value is 616, the same as “The Torah,” told Moses how to manage his 600,000 Israelites, which was an allusion to how the universe is managed from above. He told him that Moses should put leaders and sub-leaders over 1000’s, 100’s, 50’s and 10’s? Thousands, hundreds and tens is logical and is more than suggestive of how the 10 sefirot are divided and subdivided by 10’s, but why subdivide by 50 as well?
It doesn’t make sense to have someone over essentially only two people (100/50) so there must be a secret in here, a hidden message Yitro was conveying to Moses, especially since it was conveyed to Moses moments (Torah time) before receiving the 10 Commandments.
The full answer to the meaning of counting 50 lies in the spiritual dimensions of time and space itself, but there are some simpler ones that we can grasp. For instance, if we count the jubilee years (50-year intervals) from the birth of Adam to the midpoint of the 70-year life of King David (2854 HC – 2924) we get precisely 57.78 jubilee years. And from that pivotal midpoint (2889 HC) to the year 5778 HC, when the Geula is prophesized to occur, we get another 57.78 jubilee years.
Of course, 2889 HC is exactly 441 years after the Torah was received on Mt Sinai in 2448 HC and 441 is the numerical value of Emet (Truth) and 212.
And of course there are 66.6 jubilee years from 2448 to 5778 and 66.6 jubilee years from Adam to the destruction of the First Holy Temple in 3338. But all this can be found in The Divine Calendar, except this new tidbit that there are 325,077.8 sidereal days in the 17.8 jubilee years from 2448 HC to 3338 HC.
This doesn’t answer the question why we should count 50; that deeper meaning, whose answer lies in the 32 sides of the 5th dimensional hypercube, will take time to explain. But our time already seems to be marked, whether it’s the temperature of the surface of the Sun, 5778 K or 57.78 jubilee years, the year 5778 (2018 CE) is hurtling towards us. This is also why that first chapter in Bamidbar that split the Torah into the Phi proportion has 54 verses (like the 54 portions in the Torah and the 54 special letters in the Torah) because the sum of the positive integers through 107 is 5778 and 107 x 54 = 5778, and Phi18 = 5778.000
It’s been said by the sages that the Israelites, stuck in Egypt (MZR YM), were at the 49th gate of negativity and counting by 50 we see that in 2448 HC they were also in the 49th Jubilee year from Adam. It’s also been said that if we reach the Tree-of-Life reality, we will have reached the 50th Gate of Binah. Now that’s something worth counting.
Physical Coincidence
It’s probably just coincidental also that Euler’s Constant is .577215… and that when we use Euler’s Number, noted as ℮ (2.7182818…), which is the base of the natural logarithmic scale, in the equation ℮*Pi√Phi we get 5.277845, which one could argue is not 5.778 and they’d be right, but there are also 5845 verses in the Torah, as in 5.277845.
Of course, counting is just math and math is just at the core of physics, so when we ignore God’s Commandments in the Torah we are ignoring physics, not escaping them, as we would be in the Tree-of-Life reality.

It is said that Purim will be the only holiday that we’ll celebrate after the final redemption, but if all the holidays are based on cosmic windows, what separates Purim in the grand scheme of cosmic time? We read about Purim in the Book of Ester so that’s where we must search for the answer.
Yes, Purim is about defeating Amelak, our individual and collective doubts, about unifying ourselves as we did in Shushan heeding Mordechai and Ester’s calls, and about revealing the concealed, but it doesn’t seem to explain why we’ll still be celebrating this event that occurred thousands of years ago and not all the others. Unless…
Unless, the events of Purim as laid out in the Megilat Ester were to reoccur today, at least metaphorically and spiritually. What if these events that occurred at the end of the 70 years of Babylonian exile were to repeat themselves at the end of the 70 years of our present exile?
Yes, this current exile has lasted 1948 years since 70 CE, but only 70 years since the establishment of Israel as a nation in 1948 CE. Of course the final 70 year time span is based on Rav Yehuda Halevi Ashlog (HaSulam), and other well established predictions of the coming of Mashiach and the final redemption in 5778 (2018 ce), but we’ve covered that in a hundred other articles and books like The Divine Calendar and There’s Nothing Random About the Universe already.
That would indeed give us a reason to keep celebrating Purim; it would be celebrated as the final revelation of the concealed light. It would also mean that we actually have a blueprint of events that are to unfold in the final 8 years.
Every bit of the Tanakh is encoded, and we spend most of articles helping decode the first 5 Books of it, the Torah, but the Megilat Ester (The Book of Ester) is one of the most thoroughly encoded ones, with so many concealed Names of G-d, names of sefirot (the 10 dimensions) etc that it must surely hold some clues for us, something pointing to today.
Let’s look at the special sequence near the end of the reading of the 10 chapters of Ester, where the reader must recite the 10 names of the evil Haman’s children that are killed, in a single breath. It occurs in 3 symmetrical sequential verses of the 32 verses in Chapter 9. The number 32 always hints to hidden Tanakh wisdom, as it references the 32 Paths of Wisdom that comprise the structure of the Tree-of-Life and the number 9 also references wisdom as the 9th sefira (dimension) of that Tree is the sefira of Chochma (Wisdom).
That said, we know these deaths represent the removal of evil (klippot) and Amelak (doubt) from the 10 sefirot. And as we mentioned in a pervious article, it was in the 70th verse of the Torah that G-d punished the snake and told him that he’ll eat dust for all the days in his life, meaning that his life was finite. Perhaps the snake’s demise will be found at 70 years. It was after all after 70 years of Abraham’s life that G-d made his Covenant with him in 2018 (HC), which is analogous to 2018 CE (5778 HC). When the snake (NChSh) dies, Moshiach will live, as they both share the same gematria, 358.
As it happens that 70th verse in which G-d punished the snake for his part in separating man from the Tree-of-life reality was at Bereshit 3:14, and as we’ve explained in other articles and in The Genesis Prayer, when we divide the number 9 by the small gematria of the 42-letter Name of G-d we get:
9/.123049.. =73.1415777
which is 70 + 3.14… or 70 + Pi
And thus we can see how the 42-Letter Name (Ana B’koach) is integrally connected to this verse, and the prophecies that through its’ understanding will come the geula (final redemption) in 5777-5778.
And as it just so happens, 73.1415778 = 2 x 36.5708 and 5708 is the year Israel became a nation, 70 years before 5778, fulfilling the 70-year period proscribed by the Zohar.
70 years is a very significant period in Biblical history (as explained in The Divine Calendar) but it’s in the 70th chapter of the Torah that the 10 Commandments (Utterances) were given in 2448, when we last stood at the threshold of the Tree-of-Life reality, 66.6 jubilee years ago.
But back to the Megilat Ester, in this section of the 10 sons, the word v’et (VET) precedes each of the 10 names. VET is the 4th word in the Torah and has the numerical value 407, whose square root just happens to be 20.17424, or if we were to apply Number Theory and break it up, we’d have possibly the year 2017 and 424, the numerical value of Moshiach Ben David. So in the reading of the story, this connection is made 10 times, once for each of the 10 sefirot (dimensions) connected within in a single breath.
Interestingly enough, the Hebrew word for letter or sign, Ot (EVT), is found exactly 10 times in the entire Torah, and 22 times in the entire Tanakh, corresponding to the 22 letters in the Hebrew Alef-bet.
We know from the sages that the last letters of phrases in Tanakh point to the future, and so when we find that the sum of the 10 names in the 11 words conjoined by the articles VET equals 376, the numerical value for Peace (Shalom), we can take heart. And that the 11th is Alef is quite significant for a new beginning as well.
The first letters also reveal important encoding and information for us. In this case, we start with the alef from the word (EYSh) that precedes the first VET and is an integral part of the 10-sefirot listed sequence in the Book. The collective first letters sum to 256, the numerical value of Devarim (Deuteronomy), the last Book of the Torah and also of the Name Aaron, Moses’ brother and High Priest, and the only person associated with the written word Moshiach in the Torah.
And while 256 = 28 or 44, interestingly enough, the first 8 of those letters, add up to 248, the numerical value of the Book Bamidbar (Numbers), and of Abraham.
Be that as it may, we’ve discussed in prior articles that the Torah is constructed of exactly (600,000 – 408) component letters and that 408 times the letter vav of numerical value 6 equals 2448, the year of the exile from Egypt and the reception of the Torah at Sinai when we all last had the opportunity to receive the Tree-of-Life, 66.6 jubilee years ago. And since the Tikunei Zohar tells us that each brush stroke of a letter is equivalent to a letter vav (6) we can see why multiplying the missing 408 by 6 is so valid. As an aside we can see why the 7 collective strokes on the 2 differing letter Shins (Sh) embossed on the tefillin add up (7 x 6) to 42, as in the 42 Tetragrammatons (YHVH) within the tefillin, and as in the 42-Letter Name of G-d that preceded Creation.
Nevertheless, the letters in the article VET, permute to EVT, the Hebrew word for “letter” and 407 just happens to be 1 less that 408, making 408 one more than 407, and thus the numerical value 408 can be viewed at “1 EVT” of “E EVT” meaning “1 letter,” the letter Alef(E). So rather than the Torah needing 408 mysterious component letters to complete it in the time of Moshiach, it may only need 1 letter, the letter Alef, as in the first letter of the 42-letter name of G-d. Moreover, the word Chat (ChT) of numerical value 408 can mean “one,” or “single.”
And so, it’s surely no coincidence that the final 3 letters of the single breath passage in discussion (TzTE) add up to 408, or that the word they come from (VYTzTE) has the numerical value 424, that of Moshiach Ben David.
And surely, it’s not a coincidence that the last 3 letters preceding the single breath passage are EVT (407) yet again, part of the word Me’ot (MEVT), meaning the “signals (signs).” This word could also mean “from the signs” or “from the letters” or even “hundreds,” as was used literally in the story. It permutes to v’emet (VEMT) “and the truth.”
So this passage begins with Truth (Emet), a kabalistic synonym for both Torah and the 42-Letter Name of G-d that begins with Elef, ends with Tav and has 40 (M) letters in between. Then the passage proceeds through 54 letters and ends with Moshiach Ben David.
The 54 letters are significant because the 9 brush strokes in the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) at a value of 6 each add up numerically to 54, representative of the running and returning Light though the 27 letters. They also hint to 5778 in that the sum of all the positive integers through 107 = 5778 while 54 x 107 is also equal to 5778, but be that as it may, the sum of the 12 words and names in the passage (excluding the 10 VET’s) is 5805, or 5778 plus 27, representing the 27 letters of the complete Alef-bet. And kabbalistically, all 27 letters are found bound up in the single letter Alef (E), the seed of the entire alef-bet, thus referring back to the “1 letter” to complete the Torah in the days of Moshiach.
The 3 verses (Ester 9:7-9) are symmetrical, a rare occurrence in Tanakh, further distinguishing them: the first letter of each is Vav; the first letter of the 2nd word in each s Pe; the first letter of the next word in each is Vav again; then D-E-E; then the first letter of the 5th word in each is Vav again; and then the first letter of the 6th word in each is Alef(E). So the symmetrical Vavs add up to 9 and once again 9 x 6 = 54, which leaves the symmetrical PE, which can either spell the letter Pe itself, or stand for Petach Eliahu (PTCh ELYHV), “opening Elijah” or “opening to G-d (YHV)”, whose numerical value is 540 or 54 x 10, and when the kolel of 1 is added, it’s 541, the numerical value of Israel.
In the Torah everything has a special purpose. There are 10 large letters in the Torah, connecting us to Binah (the upper world); 6 small letters, connecting us to Zeir Anpin of malchut of Zeir Anpin (the final channel into our lives); there are 10 places with 32 dots, connecting us to the 32 Paths of Wisdom that connect the 10 Sefirot and that according to Rabbi Chaim Vital of blessed memory make up the 42-letter Name; and there are 6 letters at the top of the column that are not vavs (V) and thus do not connect to Zeir Anpin like the rest of the Torah, and instead they connect us to H’Mashiach, the Messiah, of the same numerical value. All together there are 10 + 6+ 32 + 6, or 54 special letters in the Torah.
Moreover, with the 10 VETs in (Ester 9:7-9), we have 30 + 54 = 84 letters, the numerical value of the Hebrew word Pad, meaning “redemption,” and as explained by the tzaddikim, this is the fusion (42+42) of the upper and lower 42-Letter Names, the understanding of which they say will bring about the geula, the final redemption. Pad (PD) is also the initials (Pe and Dalet)of the first two of Haman’s sons listed.
It’s all about the Tree-of-Life. The 10 VETS, all connecting to Moshiach Ben David (424) manifestation in 2017, represent the 10 Sefirot, and the 22 words in the passage represent the 22 pathways between them, completing the 32 Paths of Wisdom.
And the 84 letters + 22 words + 1 breath of G-d totals 107, so as hinted by the tzaddikim and the encoding in the Book of Ester, if we align our consciousness to remove the negativity from ourselves and our world throughout the 10 sefirot, this embedded technology will serve to bring about the final redemption, which is all the more reason that Purim will be the only holiday that we’ll be celebrating in the near future.
And if we add the names of the 5 principle characters in the Book of Ester–Ester,(ESTR) Ahasverosh(EChShVRVSh),. Mordechai(MRDCY), Daniel(DNYEL)and Haman,(HMN)–the 22 letters in their combined names add up to 1946 and since the Zohar describes a final 72 year period before the final redemption, we once again arrive at the year 2018 CE, or 5778 HC.
The real answer to the question why Purim will be the only holiday (Chag) after the final redemption is that according to the Zohar and Rav Ashlag’s commentary, portion Ki Tisa (11:95) the word Chag (feast, holiday) is derived from the Aramaic Chaga, meaning breaking, that is “to execue judgement upon you,” and since the cosmic holidays were all desigend to mitigate the judgements upon us, they will no longer be necessary once we’ve achieved the Tree-of-life consciousness and live without judgment. Purim is designed, not to help us with our world (Malchut) ruled by time, but to help us navigate the universe beyond time, beyond the appointed time, the Tree-of Life.

We’ve spent a great deal of time delving into the secrets of the Torah and increasing our awe of G-d (Hashem) and his unbelievably perfect and complex works. And we just recently explained that speaking and listening and “seeing” with the heart is the key to taking that awe and extending it to all His creations, and thus to truly become one with them and thus Him. That combination will elevate us to a very high level, but it takes one more ingredient to bring Mashiach. And that is CERTAINTY.
The word for certainty in Hebrew, Veda’ut (VEDEVT) has the numerical value of 418, like that of the spelling of the letter chet, the 8th letter, representing the Brit (Covenant), and the connection to all the significant Biblical dates, as we’ve seen in The Divine Calendar. But when we add the kolel for the 6 letters in the word, we get 424, the numerical value of Moshiach Ben David—a hint of what certainty can really bring us.
When we add the numerical value of “unconditional love,” Ahavatchinam, 506 to 424, we get 930, as in the 930 years of Adam, which we know from the sages is deliberately 70 years less than 1000, and moreover, that 70 is the numerical value of Sod (secrets), as in the deeper Torah, and the 70 faces of the Torah as described by the sages. Therefore, the sefira of Keter, the highest possible crowning level (dimension), or 1000, is achieved by combining the deeper study of Torah (Sod Torah) with unconditional love and certainty.
So what is certainty? We’re not taking about having certainty in what we’re doing, or that what we’re doing is the right thing, or that we will succeed in what we are doing, but certainty that G-d is behind it all and that He wants the best for us at all times. And it is the certainty that when we go through rough times, G-d is there to see us through them and to help us out of them. But, of course, we must have certainty, and then we will be able “to see” our way clear.
Last week’s Torah, portion is Reah, meaning “to see.” In the first paragraph of the portion of Reah, after telling us that if we follow His ways, we will have all the blessings, we are told to have certainty that there is only one G-d and one spiritual path.
Devarim 11:28 “The curse [will come] if you do not obey the commandments of God your Lord, and you go astray from the path that I am proscribing for you today, following other gods to have a novel spiritual experience.”
This goes for our individual lives and also for our collective life that spans all humanity and all generations. Tehilim (Psalm) 107 is about giving thanks to the Lord for delivering us from desolation, captivity, sickness, and the sea. It is about delivering us from the 4 exiles that have spanned the generations for 5778 years.
We’ve discussed in numerous articles that the sum of all the positive integers through 107 is 5778, and that there are 54 portions in the 5 Books of Moses, the Torah, and that our brains operate on a frequency of 54 pulses per minute, and moreover, that 54 x 107 = 5778, so let’s look at Psalm 107 and Isaiah 54 to see what, if anything, they might have to do with 5778, the date the tzaddikim have suggested for the arrival of H’Moshiach (the Messiah).
The number 107, or in Hebrew KTz, can also represent the word Zak (KTz) meaning purify, or Zek, to chain (link) together, as in linking together the 107 integers that add up to 5778.
Psalm 107, the first in the 5th Book of Psalms, written by King David, whose 70 year life marked the exact midpoint from Adam to 5778, begins with the verse “Hodu l’Adonai Ki Tov Hi L’Olam Chasdo,” which has the gematria value of 402 and with its 24 letters, it has a total value of 426-2 (kolel) = 424, the numerical value of Moshiach Ben David.
The verse translates to “Give thanks to Hashem for He is good for forever endures His kindness.”
Before we break down the verse, we should note that the first letters of the first 4 of the 43 verses in this Psalm, (YHVT) also add up to 424, when adjusted for the kolel, and initials of the first 5 verses spell our Yud Torah (Y-TVRH), and add up to 620, the numerical value of Keter, when adjusted for the kolel, as in the 62 yuds(Y) of numerical value 10 each in the 10 Commandments (Utterances), which was the last time we stood before the offering of the Tree-of-Life reality.
That said, the middle 3 words of this 7 word semi-symmetrical verse add up to 77, and the final word has the numerical value of 78, which seems to spell out 5778, starting with the 5th Book, 7 words, 77 value in the middle, and ending with 78 as in the initials of the Tree-of-Life (YZ, ChYYM).
And speaking of symmetry, while the standard gematria value of the verse is 402, the ordinal value of the 24 letters is 204. And while the last 2 words add up to 814 in gematria sofit, which is the numerical value of the paraphrased verse “Love thy neighbor as thyself,” the other 5 words add up to 148, a reshuffling of the digits in 814.
As explained in prior articles, the arrival of Moshiach and the final redemption in the end of days is the complete union of the 6 dimensions of Zeir Anpin with that of our dimension Malchut, also known as the fusion of the Names YHVH with Adonai (EDNY).
So to grasp what this means (intellectually, for we must then process it through our hearts). (YHVH + EDNI) = YEHDVNHY = 91, the numerical value of Amen, but when we spell out the 8 letters in (YHVH + EDNI) or YEHDVNHY and add them up we get 232 for the 4 aspects of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) and 671 for Adonai (EDNY) spelled out ELP+DLT+NVN+YVD as explained by the Arizal. And 232 + 671 = 903, which is immediately recognizable as the sum of all the positive integers through 42, and as always, it’s a connection to the 42-Letter Name of G-d that is the Tree-of-Life and that fuses Zeir Anpin with Malchut, and as the sages tell us, is as necessary for bringing about the geula (final redemption) as it was for bringing about Creation and the Torah.
But when we add 671 (the fully expressed Adonai) to 107, we get 778, as in 5778.
671 + 107 = 778. And, of course, 107 + 65 (the simple Adonai) = 172, the numerical value of Ekev, the Torah portion before Reah, and the word heel, as in the heel of Adam, which is what the sages tell us is our generation, the last one before the final opportunity to reach the Tree-of-Life reality.
As it states in the Midrash, “His heel threw a shadow on the orb of the sun.” Since we know the surface temperature of the sun is 5778 K, we have another cryptic allusion to the generation of heel connecting Malchut (heel) with the Sun (Zeir Anpin) in 5778.
Now, as for Isaiah 54, read as the Haftorah portion along with Reah, we see what the Lord says about the end of days, about what will come after we’ve brought the secrets of the Torah into out hearts and shared our love unconditionally, and reached out with certainty and after we have given thanks to the Lord for our deliverance:
Isaiah 54:11
“Unhappy, storm-tossed one, uncomforted!” Recall that Tehilim (Psalm) 107 is about giving thanks to the Lord for delivering us from desolation, captivity, sickness, and the sea.
Isaiah 54:11-17
“Unhappy, storm-tossed one, and disconsolate!
I will set your stones in fair colors,
And lay the foundations with sapphires.
I will make your pinnacles of rubies,
Your gates of precious stones,
And your walls of precious gems.
And all you children will be taught about God;
Great will be the peace of your children.
In righteousness you will be established.
You will be far from oppression,
For you will not fear,
And you will be far from ruin,
For it will not come near you.
They may gather to attack you, but it will not be from me;
Whoever comes to fight you shall fall because of you.
Behold, it is I who created the smith who blows the coals beneath the forge,
And makes a weapon for his work.
I have also created the ravager to destroy.
No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper,
And you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
This is the heritage of God’s servants, and their due reward from Me,
Says God.”
Rosh Chodesh Elul is almost upon us. This an important moment in the coming of the Messiah, and the shifting of the world consciousness that has already begun. On this 3321st anniversary of Moses’ re-ascension of Mt Sinai to bring back the second set of tablets, as the Shofar sounds we must begin our work of tshuva, and go back into time, back into our hearts to remove all the blockages that is keeping the awe in our heads, and that is keeping us from expressing the unconditional love that is at the basis of our souls, and thus keeping us from knowing the certainty that comes from being One with G-d.
We have much work to do, but a glorious future to embrace. Now is the time to give thanks.
With love,
Ezra

I want to start off by saying, I hope you felt the shift last week.
It’s the children, especially the youngest and most innocent and purest amongst us who recite the 4 questions.
The future belongs to the children. Moshiach is here for the children and because of the children.
Why is this night different from all other nights? Because this night Moshiach will come.
We’ve previously alluded to the connection to Moshe (Moses) and Matzah, and we’ve gone in depth into all the wisdom conveyed to Moses in the phrase (Mah Tizach Alai) “Why you crying out to me” now lets bring it together with chametz and Matzah.
On Pesach (Passover) it’s the children who find the Afikoman and get their wishes fulfilled, and it’s the children who recite the 4 questions, which begin with the word Mah (MH) Nishtana….
The gematria value of Adam, man, is 45, the same as the aspect of the Tetragrammaton called M”H (Zeir Anpin), which we refer to as Heaven, the 6 dimensional link between our plain of existence (malchut) and the upper realms.
The gematria of Moshe is 345, and the name itself (MShH), like matza (MZH), includes the M”H. Matza (MZH), which we are commanded to eat on Pesach, has the gematria of 135 or M”H (45) plus 90. This is, of course, 135 = 3 x 45, but it’s also M”H (45) plus 90, which is the gematria value of Mayim (מים), water, one of the two ingredients in Matzah, and also of Melech (מלך), King. And Moses, as every school child knows was thrown in the water (Nile) to begin his journey as king (90) of man (45) on earth. It was on the 7th day of Pesach when it happened, the same day the Red Sea split 80 years later.
So let’s look at the 4 Questions, which begin with MaH. We know from chazal that it is through the understanding of the 42-letter Name (Ana B’koach) that we’ll reach the geula (the final redemption) and thus it’s interesting that just as in the Ana B’koach, in the 4 Questions there are 42 words (representing the 42 letters) and 6 additional words. In the case of the 4 questions, it’s the first line “Why is this night different from all other nights?” And in the case of the Ana B’koach it’s the silent Baruch Shem C‘vod Malchuto L‘olam V‘ed.
This is not only interesting but important because each of the 4 questions starts with the 4 letter word Shebecol (ShBCL) meaning “all other” and as per our last article, this word carries the kamatz hagadol, representing the sefira (dimension) of keter (crown), beneath the caf (C), which itself represents keter, the highest dimension. The kamatz hagadol is comprised of a horizontal letter vav (V) of numerical value 6 and a dot beneath it of numerical value 10.
And when we add the Vav (V) of the kamatz hagadol to the 4 letter word Shebecol (ShBCL) we get a gematria value of 358, that of Moshiach, thus each of the 4 questions begins with the answer to “why is this night different from all other nights:” Mashiach.
Now, the word Shebecol (ShBCL) with the Vav (V) of the kamatz hagadol and the Mem (M) formed by the 4 vavs of the 4 kamatz hagadol (or alternatively the value 40 of the 4 dots of the same 4 kamatz hagadols) is also an acronym for Baruch Shem Cavod Malchuto L‘Olam V‘Ed.
This is the verse we whisper after reciting the Schema and the Ana B’koach and that Jacob recited to his sons when he was blessing them and explaining about the geula. The Midrash also says it’s a verse Moses took from the angels “Blessed is G-d whose glorious sovereignty is forever and ever,” and elsewhere that this verse was recited instead of the word Amen in the Holy Temple. It is certainly said aloud by all of us on Yom Kippur and in response to the High Priest’s pronunciation of the Holy Name (42-letter Name) in the Holy of Holys on Yom Kippur in the days of the Holy Temple.
Why 4 Questions and 4 shebecols and 4 Kamatz Hagadol? It’s an obvious connection to the 4 letters and phases in the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) of numerical value 26 and even more obvious when we consider that the question Mah Nishtanah… (why is this night different from all other nights?) has 26 letters.
As for the 4 questions themselves, the numbers of letters in them (40, 42, 50, and 54) correspond to the number of chapters in Exodus (40); Genesis (50); the 42 Letters (and the 42 journeys from Exodus to the Promised Land); and number of portions in the Torah (54), while the total plus the kolel of 1 (40, 42, 50, 54 and 1) = 187, the total number of chapters in the Torah.
And while this puts the entire Torah in the mouths of the children, if we add the 186 letters plus the 26 letters, we get 212, the value of H’or (“the light”) and if we then add the 42 words we get 228, the value of baruch (blessed) and V’ydaber (says) as in G-d says to Moses. But most significant of all is when we add the 4 of the 4 questions and get 232, the full sum of the 4 aspects of the Tetragrammaton (Av, Sag, Mah, Ban).
And thus we see by this simple act of saying 4 innocent questions, the youngest at out seder tables are reciting the full Name of G-d, the 42 letter Name of G-d, and connecting to all the chapters and portions of the Torah.
When the children speak Mashiach comes.
Even the details of the questions hold answers. the gematria value of chametz and matzah (ChMZ V’MZH) in the first question is 1089, the same as the first 9 words (32 letters) of the 13 attributes, which correspond to the 9th sefira (Chochma/wisdom) and the 32-gates of wisdom. And as R’ Chaim Vital of blessed memory explains, all light of the Torah is spread through squaring and thus there is hidden wisdom and light in 1089 or 332, and we find it in the gematria sofit of those 9 words, 3339 or 57.782 as in 5778 HC, 9 years from this revelation.
(By the way, since both the standard gematria and the gematria sofit of these 9 words are wholly divisible by 9, it’s also noteworthy that the sum of ordinal value of these 9 words is also 288 or 32 x 9; and that the sum of the small gematria of the 9 words is also wholly divisible by 9, (8666 x 9); and likewise that the sum if the first letters of the 9 words is 243, or 27 x 9.)

My daughter’s kindergarten class reenacted the Passover story and one of the questions asked of the kids was who was the hero? My daughter answer Aaron, “because he went with Moses to see Pharaoh,” while most of the kids said Moses. Now, my daughter usually right on most matters so I put some addition thought into it, and of course as I’ve mentioned multiple times, Aaron is the only person in the Torah whose name is associated with he word “Moshiach.”
And while neither Moses, nor Aaron, nor Abraham have parshot (portions) named after them, Moses’ name is mentioned 616 times, which is the numerical value of “H’Torah” (The Torah), representing all 5 Books of Moses. The numerical value of Aaron’s name is 256, which is the same as Devarim, the last of the 5 Books, and Abraham’s numerical value of 248 is the same as Bamidbar, the 4th of the 5 Books. Moreover the sum of the names of the 5 Books is 2480 or 10 x 248 (Abraham), which is fitting since the Zohar tells us we were given the 10 sefirot (dimensions( in the merit of Abraham. And is we add Aaron and Abraham together plus the kolel of the letters in the 3 Names (Aaron, Abraham, and Moses), which is 12 for the 12 tribes, we get 256 + 248 + 12 = 616, (H’Torah).
But getting back to my daughters point, G-d spoke to Moses directly, so how hard was it for him obey and visit pharaoh? Not to downplay Moses role, but Aaron, had to take it on faith that Moses was talking to G-d and stand before pharaoh–that takes real courage and convictions. So I guess Aaron was the real hero.
And like Abraham and Moshe, while they don’t have one of the 54 portions named after them, they have Books and the entire Torah feeding off their energy. That Aaron’s is the last Book (Devarim) is interesting because we know that the full cycle of the 27 letters in the alef-bet, or 54, as in 54 x 107 = 5778, the 107th triangular number and the year prophesied by the tzaddikim for the arrival of Mashiach and the numerical value for Aaron’s name, 256 + 107 = 363, the value of H’Moshiach (The Messiah).
While both brothers Moshe and Aaron are the 26th generation in the lineage of Adam, both are also of the soul root of Moshiach, and while we work to bring the great redeemer, let us not forget that both men stood before pharaoh and that like Moses, Aaron will be there at the end of the 107 cycles of 54. And that to be the hero of the story, we must summon up our own great courage and faith.
Chag Sameach and Happy Pesach!

There’s a lot of chatter on the internet about the meaning of the blessing of the sun (Birkas HaChamah), which occurs every 28 years and next on April 8, 2009, erev Pesach 14 Nissan when the sun returns to the exact position as it was on the day it was created. It’s been rumored to have occurred only twice before: at the time of Exodus from Egypt, and during the 3-day fast of the Purim story as recorded in the Megillat Esther.
Yet. This is not correct, as it occurred on erev Pesach in 1925, and the 28-year period did not even end in or near the year of the Exodus 2448 or of the Purim story in 3405, let alone erev Pesach of those years. In fact, we have to go back 3752 years to find a date when the blessing of the sun (Birkas HaChamah) was recited within a year of any significant Biblical or relevant historic event, and that was in 2017, when G-d made the Covenant with Abraham in 2018.
Nevertheless, the blessing of the sun (Birkas HaChamah) on April 8, 2009, erev Pesach, is not without its significance for us because, as we’ve discussed in numerous blogs, the Sun is what marks the arrival of Moshiach and G-d’s timetable for the geula. As we know, the tzaddikim of blessed memory have prophesied the year 5778 for Mashaich and the geula, and the radiance of the sun, as measured by its surface temperature, is 5778 K.
Moreover, as illustrated repeatedly in The Divine Calendar, nearly every significant Biblical date and event ends in the number 8, so April 8, 2009 being 8 years before the start of the 5778 period, which according to the overwhelming evidence in There’s Nothing Random in the Universe, should occur between 577.78 and 5778.28, could very well signal the beginning of the 8-year period of darkness that chazal has indicated would precede the brit of H’Moshiach, which not coincidentally occurs in 2018 CE, reflecting back on G-d’s Covenant (Brit) with Abraham in 2018 HC.
That the blessing of the sun, which connects us to Creation, occurs every 28 years is reflected in the 28 letters of the Torah’s first verse, “In the Beginning G-d created Heaven and Earth.”
“ברוך אתה ה’ אלוקינו מלך העולם עשה מעשה בראשית”
“Blessed are You, LORD, our God, King of the Universe who makes the works of Creation.”
A simple blessing, right?
Kabbalistic technology reveals that the 9 final letters add up to 506, as in the first verse of the 42-Letter Name (Shem Mem-Bet or Ana B’koach) which as detailed in The Genesis Prayer is integrally connected with the Torah’s first verse and is the blueprint for Creation itself. And not coincidentally 506 is the numerical value of “Unconditional Love” and the complete value of “Moshiach Ben David”
Now considering that 5778 K, the surface temperature of the Sun is 2018 CE in the Western Calendar how extraordinary is it that the sum of those same 9 final letters in gematria sofit is 2017 when the kolel of 9 subtracted, just like the date 2017 HC when the blessing of the sun (Birkas HaChamah) was also recited.
Speaking of gematria, the gematria value of the full 9-word verse is 2712, which compares to the 7 words of the Torah’s first verse, which is 2701, and adjusting for the kolel of the 11 additional letters in the blessing, they are essentially the same value, 2701.
And while he last 2 words of the verse Ma’aser Bereshit, (מעשה בראשית) the works of creation, have the initials of the Shem Mem-bet (42-letter Name), the initials of the first 5 words add up to 54, as in 54 x 107 = 5778, bringing up everything else concerning 54 and 107 that we’ve previously discussed in other articles. Moreover, the gematria sofit of the full blessing is 4232, a very graphic conjunction of 42 and 232, the value of the 4 aspects of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH).
So when you do the blessing, make sure you also recite the Ana B’koach with the right consciousness and desire to connect to the tree-of-life reality and Mashiach, and meditate on it’s first line.

It’s the details that trip us up.
Even the slightest slip up can have devastating repercussions, especially so, the higher up you are on your spiritual path.
When Moses retrieved Joseph’s bones from the Nile in order to fulfill the pledge to Joseph and to help split the Red Sea, as per our blog on “Why are you crying out to me?” he used a golden plate inscribed with G-d’s Name and with the words “Ascend, O ox!”
And when he tossed that plate into the Nile, Joseph’s coffin rose up. (Midrash Tanchuma, Ki Tisa 19). As the Arizal explains, we know Moses associated Joseph with the Ox because in his farewell blessing to the Jews in Devarim 33:17, the second to last chapter in the Torah, Moses described Joseph as an “ox”: “His glory is like a first-born ox….”
Next the Arizal juxtaposes this with the second to last chapter in Genesis, and in Jacob’s blessing to Joseph in Genesis 49:22, the same word for “ox” appears, although in this case it meant wall (ShVR) “wall”: “Joseph is a fruitful son, a fruitful vine by the fountain with branches running over the wall.” The words for “over the wall” in Hebrew are “alei shur“, which can be pronounced, “Ascend, O’ ox!” (“aleh“ “shor“).
Wherever the golden plate came from it was known to possess great power, and had Moses held retrieved it all might have been well, but Moses had his counterparts who were nearly as powerful and used the dark side of the Names. It’s a spiritual axiom that where there’s light, there are also shadows.
From Jacob’s nemesis Laban, came his son Beor, who was the father to Balaam, who chazal tell us was nearly Moses’ equal, to his sons Yunus and Yumbruce, who according to the Zohar were the leaders of the Erev Rav. the Mixed Multitude that accompanied Moses and the Israelites out of Egypt. Moses had thought he could convert them and thus capture a huge amount of holy sparks for the sake of the Lord, but it wasn’t their time.
According to the Arizal, Yunus and Yumbruce planned to extricate the soul of their grandfather Beor from the vegetable Kingdom to which he had been relegated upon death by making Aaron and the Israelites sin, and thus Moses as well.
This plan was not unlike the snake’s plan to cause Eve and thus Adam to sin by utilizing the fruit of the tree (from the vegetable kingdom).
And somehow they had gotten a hold of the golden plate inscribed with the words, “Ascend, O ox!” We can be pretty sure who had a hand in that. Nevertheless, the Golden Calf, of numerical value 108, is also called an “ox,” and by the magic embedded in the golden plate and the spiritual support of a reluctant Aaron’s hands, the Golden Calf came to life imbued with the soul of their grandfather Beor.
Now Moses was very busy, moving 600,000 Jews and 2.4 million erev rav toward the edge of the Red Sea (Endless Sea), yet had Moses recovered the powerful plate, instead of leaving it to fate, those 600,000 at least would have been able to ascend once and for all back in 2448 HC.
Instead only 408 Jews ascended and stayed within the tree-of-life reality. One for every 6 years of the 2448 that passed from the sin of Adam to the 10 utterances.
Though Moses was high upon Sinai and nowhere near the sinful dealing below, he knew of the inadvertent part that he had played in their downfall and took responsibility for it when he pleaded on their behalf and asked G-d to remove him from His Book. There’s much controversy about which book he meant; after all, there are 6 Torah portions that Moses’ name is not mentioned in after this incident, 1 for each of the 6 days of creation and 1 for each 100, 000 of the 600,000 souls not permanently elevated that day. Since Creation occurred for the sole purpose of providing a platform for that elevation, each day had been sinned against separately.
And since Moses’ name is not mentioned in the 12 portions of Genesis (Bereshit) his name is not included in a total of 18 potions, or exactly 1/3 of the 54 (3 x18) portions in the Torah. This, of course means that he is mentioned, in 2/3 or 66.6% of the portions.
The golden calf has a numerical value of 2 x 54, or 108, or 18 x 6, which is (6+6+6) x 6, and it’s also the numerical value of chai, life (18) x 6, so it’s telling that the Torah hints to the Book of Life as to the Book that Moses was referring to be removed from. And even more so that the “Book of Life” (Sefer Chaim, SPR ChYYM) has the numerical value of 408, which is also 68 x 6 or chaim (life) x 6.
And it’s for the sake of the 6 days of creation that all the rest of the souls that would have to wait another 66.6 jubilee years from 2448 to 5778 for another opportunity to ascend to the tree-of-life reality.
The 6 portions that Moses’ name isn’t mentioned in after the Book of Genesis (Bereshit) are Balak, Re’eh, Ekev, Shoftim Ki Thetze, and Tetzaveh, whose initials which spell out 4 of the 6 (or 2/3) letters in Bereshit (BREShYT). The other 2 initials (C and A) add up to 90, the numerical value of melech, king, or 5 x 18. And the letters they couldn’t replace Alef (E) and Yud (Y) stand for Anochi (E) YHVH (Y), I am G-d, the first two words of the 10 Utterances.
And we know that G-d didn’t remove or erase Moses’ name from the Book of Life, but from the 6 portions of the Torah instead. And how do we know that? Because the gematria sofit of the final letters in the 11 words of Exodus 32:32 where Moses makes this request is 3666, when the kolel of the letters and words in the verse are added, and 3666/6 = 611, the numerical value of “Torah.”
And we know Moses is still in the Book of Life, even today, because when He took Moses name out of 6 portions He also took the letter vav of numerical value 6 out of 6 of the 248 columns in the Torah and replaced it with the letters BYHShMV of numerical 363, which is that of Moshe Chai, “Moses lives” and also of H’Mashiach, “the Messiah.” And the Shin (Sh) of BYHShMV and also of M0She and MoShaich is found in the portion Ki Thisa of the golden calf.
Of course, the golden calf was just the final manifestation of the doubts raised during the 10 Utterances. Spiritually, the seed was planted when Moses left behind the golden plate with G-d’s Name inscribed upon it, which allowed let the tree-of-knowledge to grow anew. The golden calf was just the fruits that were eaten from it when the Israelites couldn’t wait another 6 hours for Moses return with G-d Tablets.
For 3 full chapters after the 10 Utterances, Moses’ name wasn’t mentioned. And of the 616 times that Moshe (MShH) appears in the Torah, the 173rd time, corresponding to the 173 keys of Moses and the small gematria of the 42-Letter Name, is at the end of the 10 Utterances in Exodus 20:19, which is in the 156th paragraph of the Torah, the 65th in Exodus. Does this hint at 2019 CE, the year after 5778 HC, as also hinted at in PI (as explained in There’s Nothing Random About the Universe)?
It might, considering that 616 is the value of H’Torah (the Torah), 65 is the value of Adonai, and 156 is the value of Zion and of Joseph, whose bones Moses had retrieved.
It’s a funny way to tell a story through numbers, but while our Biblical interpretations change with our consciousness, the quantitative numbers never change; they haven’t in 66.6 jubilee years. And the sum of the gematria of the names of the 6 portions that Moses’ name is not mentioned in after the 50 chapters of the Book of Genesis is 1968, as in both 1968 HC and 1968 CE. If we add the 50 chapters of Genesis (as in the 50-year length of the jubilee year) to this, we get 1968 + 50 = 2018, as in the year 5778 HC and as in 2018 HC, the year of G-d Covenant with Abraham. (see our blog on 1968, the year of revolution).
Regardless, of the simple math, the importance of this lesson is that we must pay attention to the details in our spiritual quests, that we don’t forget about G-d’s Name. Moses had his name removed when he forgot about G-d’s Name (even though it only happened once and during very pressing circumstances). Moses’ name was also removed from the Pesach Haggadah because it was there in Egypt, during the Exodus that Moses slipped up. And G-d was so angry at him, knowing what would happen, that He even stated that He wanted to kill Moses.
Moses’ case is an extreme one because of his exalted spiritual level, but we all want to reach that place of keter, which our forefathers were at back at the 10 Utterances (Commandments) and thus we’re all going to have to be much more careful, much more diligent in our spiritual actions. Why did only 408 people make it to the tree-of-life last time? Because all it takes is one slip of consciousness. Adam only slipped up once. Moses slipped up only once. The snake doesn’t slip; he slithers.

There’s no complex math in this article, but a lot of numbers, and it can’t be helped. I try to tone down the amount of numbers in the posts, limiting them to the most significant and the minimum necessary to establish the synergies and proofs so that the spiritual messages behind the numbers can shine through, but we’re at a critical juncture in the Torah, a seminal moment not unlike what we’ll be going through in 5778.
The 10 Utterances, more commonly known as the 10 Commandments, are found at a unique place in the Torah and at a unique paradigm in time. And we need to establish that for you, before we can reveal what actually happened back then.
Remember, the numbers are just the energy readings that we take when we press our measuring devices (our minds) against the wiring of the Torah to see how its circuitry works, and which way the current flows. They are our guides to the cosmic gateways to which the Torah connects. If we think of the Torah as a static parchment of paper with words on it, rather than as live wires, then we’ll miss be able to draw enormous amounts of energy from it, and tremendous opportunities, like the one opening up for again soon.
We say “again” because this cosmic window last opened 66.6 jubilee years ago, when G-d chose to recite the 10 Utterances, which chazal tell us also created the world, a total of 115.6 jubilees years ago. To understand that you must be able to think of time as fluid and space as collapsible, and reality as we know it as an illusion. In other words, you must be able to perceive the tree-of-life reality that was offered to our ancestors back in 2448 HC, 49 jubilee years after Creation .
In the 20th chapter and 54th Paragraph of Exodus (Shmot/Names), after the Zohar tells us Moses received the 173 Keys to Heaven (the 42-letter Name); after the rectification of the 10 sefirot of the tree-of-life through the 10 plague, as explained by the Arizal; after the tools of the 42-Letter Name (Mem-Bet) and the 72 Names (Ayin-Bet) were given to Moses and the Israelites when they cried out to G-d; after they split of the Red (endless) Sea; and after they completed the cleansing process through the appreciation, tshuva, and tools embedded in the “Song of the Sea,” the Israelites were ready to receive the 10 Utterances directly from G-d, thus completing their ascension to Keter. That was the plan.
Keter
The 10 Utterances are found at chapter 20 in parsha Yitro of Shmot (Exodus) and the letter yud (Y) of numerical value 10 is a direct substitute for the number 10 in the 10 Utterances and the letter yud when spelled out has the value 20, the same as the chapter. This is significant because the number 20, esrim, has the numerical value of 620, that of Keter, the crowning, hightest sefira (dimension). Moreover,Yitro (YTRV), Mose’s father-in-law, has the value 616, the same as H’Torah (the Torah) plus the kolel of the 4 letters gives 616 +4 = 620, Keter once again. And that’s just the start.
Two Moments in Time Linked Together through a Single Window
That there are 9 verses spanning paragraphs 54 to 62 of Shmot (Exodus) is no coincidence. Readers of this blog know by now the formulas of the sum of positive integers through 107 = 5778; and 54 x 107 = 5778, the year the tzaddikim prophesied for the arrival of Moshaich and the geula (final redemption); and also that the surface temperature (radiance) of the sun, representing the King and Zeir Anpin, is 5778 K, while its core temperature is 156 million K, with 156 being the gematria value of Joseph, representing Yesod of Zeir Anpin. But what hasn’t been revealed yet is that the numerical value 54 is found 156 times in the Torah and that the Name Dan (DN)–the initials that Abraham’s Sefer Yetzirah would lead to Mashiach–of numerical value 54, is found 26 times, corresponding to the value of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH). And consequently that 54 + 156 = 210, as in the 210 years of Exile in Egypt that just ended prior to the 10 Utterances.
And most students of Torah know that the Torah is divided in 54 parashot (portions), so this being paragraph 54 is most probably a hint that the whole Torah is about to be received, not just a few commandments to behave civilly.
The number 54 also has the distinction of being half of 108, the numerical value of the infamous golden calf, and the reason that this connection is so significant will be revealed shortly. And since the number 107 is integrally associated with 5778, and thus the reception of Moshiach, that 108 is 1 beyond it, is significant as well, but for the moment it’s important to note that the first letter on the 10 Utterances is the 107006th letter in the Torah, or looked at another way, 107 x 1000 + 6 (representing the letter Vav(V) and Zeir Anpin).
And for its part, 62, as in the final 62nd and final paragraph of the 10 Utterances, it is the key to understanding what is really going on in the section. For starters. there are 62 letter yuds, of numerical value 10, within these 9 paragraphs. Now, the letter yud (Y) is the first letter of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) and is associated with the level of Chochma (wisdom), the 9th and 2nd highest sefira (dimension), and those 62 yuds have a total numerical value of 620, that of keter (crown), the highest sefira, the place the Israelites had reached as G-d spoke to them.
But the icing on this keter cake is found in that there are 620 letters in these 9 short paragraphs.
Moreover, the sum of the ordinal values of those 620 letters is 11 x 620 + 1 (kolel).
And of the 10 Utterances, 8 begin with the word Lo (LE), “don’t,” which is EL (G-d) backwards and these 8 words total 248, the value of Abraham, of mercy, and of the Earth’s reflected radiance back to the sun (248.5 K), but also 248 = 4 x 62. You can see where this is going; this small 620 letter section of the Torah is quite special and unique.
There are also 172 words in this section, and if we add 1 for the kolel we’d have 173 words, which not only hints at the 42-Letter Name through its small gematria value of 173, but 620/173 = 3.58, and 358, as we know, is the numerical value of Moshiach, the messiah.
And then to complete the picture, there are 13 verses in these 9 paragraphs, just like the 13 times that words with a numerical value of 173 appear in the Torah. Ever wire in this section is very much alive and burning bright.
So while the total number of letters, words, and verses in the entire Torah total 390,625, which is 6252, or an astonishingly exact 58, the number of letters, words, and verses in the actual 10 Utterances (Commandments) is 620+172+13 = 805, the numerical value of “The rainbow,” which was G-d first Covenant (brit) with Earth.
And while 13 is the numerical value of ahava (love), if we add the 9 paragraphs to 805 we get 805 +9 = 814, the numerical value of the verse that Hillel stated summarizes the entire Torah in Levitiucs 19:18, paraphrased as “love they neighbor as thyself.”
That there are 9 paragraphs is probably not coincidental either as the numerical value 625, that of H’keter (The Crown) is found 9 times in the Torah, and keter (Crown) of value 620, as in the 620 letters of the 10 utterances, is found 10 times as many times, or 90 times. And just to be thorough, we should point out that 9 x 90 = 810, or 805 + 5 (kolel).
As we’re dealing with the moment the Israelites touched Keter, it should be noted here that 10,000, or 104, representing Keter, when divided by 5778 yields 10,000/5778 = 1.7307026, or a perfectly graphic rendition of the shem mem-bet (173 keys); the 70 nations, etc; and the YHVH (26). Readers of this blog and of The Divine Calendar know full well the significance of the number 70 and the role that the time span of 70 years repeatedly played in the Israelite history, so we should point out that the 10 Utterances occur in the 70th Chapter in the Torah.
So, it’s pretty obvious to us, as it’s always been to the tzaddikim, that the relationship between reaching Keter, receiving the Mashiach and the tree-of-life consciousness, understanding the 42-Letter Name and the year 5778 is a most important one, important enough to etch onto the cosmos and to build the Torah around, and important enough for G-d to reveal to us today, 9 years shy of 5778.
The 10 Utterances and the Seed of Creation, the First Window
We always look to the seed level of anything to find its outcome, for as with a seed and the eventual tree that grows from it, its entire genetic blueprint is already there, and so it is spiritually as well with our actions. In this case, we’ll look to the first verse in the section, Exodus 20:2, and to the first verse in the Torah to which it connects.
We know from chazal and have explained numerous times and in depth in The Genesis Prayer how the 42-Letter name is integrally connected with the Torah’s first verse as both a remote control for the Torah and as the seed of Creation itself, so we’ll skip that here, and instead point out the Torah first verse’s interesting connections to keter and to these 620 letters.
OK, so we know that the 7 words in the Torah’s first verse are connected to chochma/wisdom, of numerical value 73 because their total value is equal to all the positive integers through 73, and we know that the letter yud (Y) of numerical value 10, represents the sefira of Chochma in the YHVH, and that there are 62 yuds in the 620 letters of the 10 utterances, but what we didn’t know was that the word values of each of the Torah first 2 words (9 letters) are repeated a total of 62 times in the Torah.
Or that while the 4th and 6th words (totaling 4+6=10) in the Torah (Et and V’Et) are found a total of 3450 times in the Torah, or 345 x 10, with 345 being the numerical value of both Moses (Moshe) and Hashem (G-d), the total number of times that their word values reoccur is exactly 622 .
Or that the recursions of the 2nd word (barah) plus the recursions of it’s numerical value also equals 62. So those 62 x62 + 62, or 62 x 63 times, whose total word occurrences and word value recurrences is 7363, covers words # 1+2+4+6, or 13, as in the 13 verses of the 10 Utterances.
And as for words #3, 5, and 7 of the Torah’s first verse, whose collective numerical value is 777, their total word occurrences and word value recurrences and word values is 3125 = 625 (H’Keter) x 5.
At the Seed of Keter, the Window Opens
It’s not surprising that the high point (H’keter) in the Torah would be connected to its first verse, or seed level consciousness, in the same way that if we don’t have the purest of intentions when we help someone, our efforts will go awry or even backfire.
So lets look to the seed level within the 10 utterances, its first verse at Exodus 20:2. Amongst the 9 words of the verse, analogous to the 9 paragraphs, it’s there that we find the 3 word, 13-letter phrase (analogous to the 13 verses), its first 3 words, Anochi Adonai Elohicah (ENCY YHVH ELHYC) “I am God, your Lord”
That should have been enough.
While 3-word phrases are often associated with the 3 columns of the Tree-of-life schematic, the word ELHYC has the gematria sofit value of 546, as in the initials of the 10 sefirot (dimensions) of the Tree-of-life.
This is not surprising, as we know from chazal that the 10 Utterances represent those 10 sefirot (dimensions) of the Tree-of-life, but what is news is that the regular gematria value of this phrase is 173, as in the 173 keys of Moses, the 42-Letter Name, the understanding of which chazal tells us will bring the geula.
And if you recall, the numerical value 173 is found 13 (ahava/love) times in the Torah. Yes, it’s because of G-d’s love for us that He gave us the 42-letter name, but also this is another piece of evidence that the 42-Letter Name (Ana B’koach) is the love algorithm, a spiritual formula and cosmic technology that connects us to “unconditional love,” the numerical value of of which is not only the value of the 42-Letter Name’s first line, but also the number of times the 14 triplets in the name appear in the Torah, 506. This is also the complete (ordinal and simple) value of Mashiach Ben David, but much more about that can be found in The Genesis Prayer.
Moreover, 506 is also the numerical value of the 32nd (VShR) of the 72 Names, and as we saw with our blogs on the splitting of the Red (Endless) Sea, the 42-Letter Name and the 72 Names often work in concert when big so-called miracles are required. This also further connects the 42-Letter Name to the 32 Paths of Wisdom and thus the Tree-of-life.
And speaking of Moshiach and the geula, not only are the first 2 words of the 10 Utterances “I am God” found at letter number 107006 in the Torah, but their numerical value is 107 as well, leading us right back to 5778, the date the tzaddikim gave us for the arrival of Mashiach and the geula (final redemption).
If you question why not a perfect 107,000th letter, there are multiple answers, but the most obvious may be that the additional 6 in 107006, hints at the 6 hours that the erev rav and many of the Israelites didn’t wait for Moses’ return, costing them the immortality of keter, the tree-of-life reality, and costing them another 66.6 jubilee years.
We find this non-perfect reference again in the (600,000 – 408) component letters in the Torah, whereby 408 x 6 = 2448, the year of the 10 Utterances and that Keter was achieved for a few, and not for the 600,000 Israelites who were present and could have achieved it.
And 408/6 = 68, the numerical value of Cha’im, life, as in Etz Cha’im, the tree-of-life and the number of alefs (E) in the 620 letters of the 10 Utterances.
Are we reading into this? You decide. The verse that immediately precedes and introduces the 10 Utterances, Exodus 20:1 “God spoke all these words, saying:” has 7 words and 28 letters, just like the Torah’s first verse; and the initials of those 7 words add up to 68, again the numerical value of Cha’im, life, as in Etz Cha’im, the tree-of-life; and the total gematria sofit value of the verse less a kolel of (28/7 or 4) = 2448, or with a kolel of 28 for the 28 letters = 2480, the sum of the Names of the 5 Books; while the standard gematria for the full verse is 1332 or 2 x 666.
Anyway you look at it, this introductory verse is connecting the 10 Utterances spoken by G-d to Creation itself. And moreover, it is setting us up for the 66.6 jubilee years, or 50 year intervals, as in the value of the middle word in the verse, kol (CL), that stretch from 2448 to 5778.
Some Got it, Most Didn’t; Will We?
By the way, we can break down (ENCY YHVH ELHYC) into the symmetrical phrase (EYC YHVH NHL EYC), which numerically is (31 + 111 + 31) and while 31 is the numerical value of El (G-d) and 111 is the value of alef (E), we also have 62 + 111 = 173. And it could translate to “Where are you? G-d, our guide, Where are You?”
Some of the Israelites reached Keter, and the tree-of-life represented by alef, which when broken down has the numerical value of 32 and thus is our physical symbol of the 32 Paths of Wisdom that are the 32 connections (energy centers and channels) of the 10 sefirot (dimensions) that comprise the tree-of-life.
Most did not, and asked “Where are you? G-d, our guide, Where are You?”
They could see the words but not beyond them. We have to do everything we can to see beyond them, past the barriers of our own illusions, our own limitations.
Like the first 3 words of this verse that significantly at have 13 letters that correspond to the 13 verses, the last 2 words m’bet avadim, have 9 letters corresponding to the 9 paragraphs: (MBYT ABDYM), “from the house of slavery.” S,o let’s examine those 2 words last used during the killing of the first born, the 10th plague. They begin with Mem-Bet and Ayin-Bet, as in the 42-Letter Name and the 72 Names, the keys to freedom hidden within the doorways to the house of slavery. Some found them, some didn’t. Those that hadn’t weren’t really ready, even after everything they had seen. They still weren’t ready to let go completely.
When we unlock the MB and AB in (MBYT ABDYM) we’re left with 5 letters that total 1024, as in the numbers of word values in the Torah, . Moreover, concealed with slavery (ABDYM) are the initials of Mashiach Ben David, and what’s left is Yi (AY) meaning “debris, ruins.” Two clear choices.
When faced with a revelation of light, we can choose to embrace it or to embrace our doubts. Most people choose the comfort of their doubts, and the company of their peers.
And while the numerical value of MBYT is 452, so is the number of times that the value 86, that of Elohim–found in both the Torah’s first verse and the 10 Utterances introductory verse (Exodus 20:1)–appears in the Torah. Meanwhile, the value of (MBYT ABDYM), “From the house of slavery” is 578, a possible allusion to 5778.
The connection to Elohim is understandable, considering the Name and aspect of G-d, was found 32 of those times in Creation, the first chapter of the Torah, and altogether 62 times through the completion of the 10 generations of Adam in chapter 5. There’s not much room for coincidence here. Nor room for error, as the window opens for the 3rd time, the last time being 3330 years ago.
As one would imagine there’s so much concealed information and guidance jam packed into these 620 letters that it becomes tedious to try to maneuver through it all. So we’ll stop here and continue in our next post, where we’ll explain what everything in the article above was hinting at, what happened at Mt Sinai, and what were the two paths in the Torah that followed.
The implications for us today are extraordinarily profound, which is why all this tedious background enlightenment into the workings and encodings of the 10 Utterances and its connection to the whole Torah were necessary. The Torah must be seen as a whole, and the 10 Utterances as a special moment or (window) in time if we are not to miss the next cosmic opening.
…to be continued shortly.

In May 1954 the United States Supreme court in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka declared that state laws that established separate public schools for black and white students denied black children equal educational opportunities, paving the way for integration and the civil rights movement. 54 years later in Jan 2009, we have the first African-American president, Barak Hussein Obama (אובמה EVBMH, of numerical value 54. Is it a coincidence?
Our brains have a timing mechanism. Some of us operate faster and some slower and most of us are all over the place, faster one second and slower the next, which means our timing is a little off. We can train ourselves through feedback programs like Interactive Metronome (IM), as used by many athletes to perfect their timing and thus help them to leap for the football at just the right moment or shoot at the goal at the precise opening. With balls soaring toward you at 95 mph you want your timing to be perfect. Just being a little more accurate can give you a big advantage.
For most of us it would make us a little less klutzy and better in everything we do. And with life soaring at us at a dizzying pace, we want need to me in sync with our thoughts, not ahead or behind them. When your mind is in sync, so are you with the universe. How many times have you swung and missed at the obstacles and opportunities before you? President Obama didn’t miss many, or he’d still be Senator, or community organizer Obama.
For many students IM training really improves their reading skills. And for some of us, especially some children with special needs, whose timing may be really off, it can make a world of difference in all areas. It could be the key.
And it’s all because our brains have a timing mechanism. That shouldn’t be a big surprise, even our cars’ drive trains have them–if not tuned up electronically, they run fast or slow and thus in inefficiently.
Our brains too run on electricity, or at least electronic impulses that soar along and across the myriad neural networking synapses of what we call our minds. And anything that uses elelectronic pulses, or indeed anything that uses energy of any kind has a specific frequency of operation. Our TVs, radios, phones, computers, and toasters have them too. Do they interfere with the operations of our minds? You bet they do, but that’s a whole other topic.
Even crystals vibrate with frequencies, hence the first radios were made from them and even called crystal radios. And there are plenty of minuscule crystals embedded in our minds and bodies. Together they make up a sizable lot. So it’s no wonder that collectively our brains operate a specific frequency, the same one for all of us, as if G-d, (or nature for the skeptics), designed it that way.
So what is that frequency?
54 beats (pulses) per minute.
Timing is everything. We say it often. But what is timing? It’s mazal. It’s being in the right place at the right time: Having your overwhelmingly favored Democratic opponent in the State Senate primary self-destruct before you; having your overwhelmingly favored Republican opponent in the State Senate race self-destruct before you; being chosen to give the key note address with much less experience than nearly all other possible candidates on July 27, 2004 (Tish B’Av); having your overwhelmingly favored Democratic opponent in the Presidential primary self-destruct before you; having the overwhelmingly favored Republican and probable opponent in the Presidential election self-destruct before you; having your Republican opponent in the Presidential election self-destruct before you; and moreover, having every aspect of the economy self-destruct before your Republican opponent. That all takes mazal. Yes, you have to do the hard work all along the way, but timing and mazal did the heavy lifting.
Yes, Barak H. Obama was destined to be President Obama. In the same way that the Moshiach and the geula (final redemption) are destined to happen in 5778 as prescribed by the tzaddikim and as illustrated in numerous blogs and in The Divine Calendar. In the exact same way, for here’s the secret formula:
The sum of all the positive integers from 1 – 107 = 5778
and
54 x 107 = 5778
Timing is everything!
If President Obama stays in office for the full possible 8 years, he will not only preside over the 8 year period of the Brit of Mashiach as foretold by chazal, but will leave office in the same year Moshiach enters. And the word in the Torah whose numerical value of 107 is most often utilized in various forms and congregations of value 107 is Vayetze, which it its various forms means “and he went out”, or “and he came out,” and “went out,” or “came out,” or “shall come out,” or “they shall come/go out”, or “goes/come out” or “and shall go out.”
If we read this as one coherent message, it seems to say, when he goes out, Moshiach will come in. One destiny.
And according to Abraham’s Sefer Yetzirah, The Mashiach (Messiah) is supposed to come through the month of Cheshvan Scorpio whose controlling letters are Dalet and Nun (DN) whose normal gematria value is 54, and whose sofit gematria value is 704, as in the 4th line of the 42- Letter Name matrix (the Ana B’Koach), the line that contains the brit (covenant) of Moshiach, as we’ve discussed in previous blogs.
As for 5778, it’s also the temperature of the surface of the sun, (5778 K) whose life giving energy drives and controls everything we do, so just as our days are measured in 24 hour periods of day and night marked by the earth’s relationship with the sun and just as our years are measured by the earth’s revolution around the sun, so too the days and years to the time of the final redemption (the end of days so to speak) are measured and meted out by the sun.
Don’t kid yourselves, the sun sets our clocks. Life was nurtured by the sun from the first mingling of molecules on earth. The sun set our internal and external clocks and its precise. When things are off, we need to reset ours, and put our focus on 5778.
There’s not much time left so we must use it wisely. Like our new President, we too have destinies and we need to find them and fulfill them with all the hard work and conviction that it will take. Let him be a role model for us. Let us drive forward with a singular purpose. Once we find our true missions, the right amount of mazal will find us.
And take heart. In the number 107, there is more than meets the eye:
107 = (65 + 42) or Adonai (EDNY) of numerical value 65 + the 42-Letter Name of G-d.
also
107 = (86 + 21) or Elohim (ELHYM) of numerical value 86 + Ehyeh (EHYH) of numerical value 21.
Both of these cosmic equations represent the fusion of the upper (spiritual) world with our world (malchut/kingdom).
G-d is in the numbers
No one succeeds without His help. What their purpose is, or if they even know their true purpose is another story. But in the end, it doesn’t matter; it’s G-d plan. The destiny is His design. Remember, if the sun were one degree hotter or colder, we’d be toast, for 5778 is not fluke, and neither is 54, or Obama’s Presidency.
We follow the signs and get guidance through the spiritual significance of the numbers when the ancient gematria is applied properly, but that’s just His way of helping us to see through the clutter of our lives and own minds. And if you have a chance to do IM, or recommend it to people with children who may need it, please do so, as the results can appear to be miraculous when your mind is in sync with where it was destined to be.
It’s no coincidence that President Obama is the 44th President either, but much more about that in our next blog on the 10 plagues.
