The Gift that Keeps on Giving

It is no longer the 8th day of Chanukah; nevertheless, the Light is Endless and if you made the proper connections the residue of light still shines within you and we can still share Chanukah gifts. The Light is Endless, and we cannot separate the Light from the Endless. The Endless is a place and it is infinite; it is infinity. The Light is the Creative force of G-d; it is the Creator. The Creator is Infinity.

As scientists are coming to understand, the universe is a matrix of infinite parallel universes and Infinity means that anything and everything is possible, and that there are no limitations and no true boundaries.  This is the true definition of freedom.  This is what awaits us in the World to Come.  This is what our shackles to physicality and our illusionary blindfolds prevent us from seeing.  It is simple though: Everything that is imaginable anywhere, actually exists somewhere.  Not in cyberspace, but in hyperspace.

Cyberspace was not invented to liberate us, but to control us, to make our tethers to physicality stronger, not weaker. Now we can satisfy our desires to shop, to indulge our baser instincts, and to inflict mob rule 24/7 and we can do all three simultaneously, all while a few much more powerful and more scrupulous elites flood our cyber lives with their narrative and agenda while monitoring our every keystroke.  Is that the freedom we were promised?

On the other hand, we have hyperspace, and given all the infinite possibilities defined by the infinite parallel universes G-d must exist somewhere in at least one of them, and while things may exist in one parallel universe and not another, if it exists in even one, It Exists period.  Given that the Creator must exist, and given the nature of the Creator as the source and end all of everything, He then must exist everywhere.  So, whether you believe in G-d or believe in science, you must believe in the Creative force and the greater beyond. If not, like Adam after the sin, you are just hiding from G-d and His desires for you.  It did not work for Adam and it does not work for us either.  Letting people sell us more blindfolds will not hide us any better; they will only cause us to stumble further.

The endless infinity is called Ein Sof (אין סוף) in Hebrew, and the Light is Ohr (אור); they both equal 207, the same as Raz (רז), secret. The secret is what the kabbalists have been saying for thousands of years: G-d is the Light, which is the Endless, which is Infinite, which means once we are connected we have NO LIMITATIONS.  This is true freedom. Being able to shop from your phone is not freedom; it is slavery.

When we connect to Binah, we are not only the Light, we are One (אחד). Everything here in our world, is divisive, disjointed, and self-centered.  Everything here in our world, has an end, which is why it is not light, which is endless.  What we consider light in our world is just a shadow, a reflection, an illusion. This is the hardest thing to look past, and to let go of. Once we do, though, we can enter Binah. The World to Come will soon come upon us like an overpowering tidal wave and we will need to be able to let go, to jettison our anchors if we want to ride it.

Think of being in our world as being immersed in the most complete virtual reality machine you can imagine. You are totally integrated with that world and no nothing outside of it. You cannot think outside that box because that box is all you know.  The only way out is to unplug it, but before you can do that you must wake up and realize that your virtual world is not real and that there is actually something to unplug.  That is the first and hardest step.  That is what we are trying to do, to show you the signs, in other words the glitches in the VR system that do not make sense, things that do not add up. We want you to wake up in time and unplug.

Since the physical VR system is a copy of spiritual one, it is based on the 10 sefirot (dimensions) and built on base-10 mathematics, which is why we can use simple mathematics to break the virtual codes, and to decode the hidden tools built into the system that transcend both worlds, like, the Torah, the Shema and the 42-Letter Name of G-d.

My fascination in mathematics and how it ties everything together was first piqued when I heard about perfect numbers in the 7th grade and tried to prove a relationship between them and the Fibonacci sequence. Perfect numbers are those whole numbers whose factors when added together equal the number itself. For example, the first perfect number is 6, whose factors 1 and 2 x 3 can be summed up as 1+2+3 = 6. Perfect numbers are very rare.  The second perfect number is 28, as in the 28 letters in the Torah’s first verse. The third perfect number is 496, as in the value of the word Malchut, the earthly physical kingdom.  To give you an idea how rare these number are, the 13th shortest one is 314 digits long.  I only mention them because as previously explained the number 6 defines our physicality, the 28 first letters of the Torah end with the word Earth, our physical home, and 496 is the value of the word Malchut, the earthly physical kingdom.  Everything is perfect and as it was always meant to be. Trust in the Truth. Trust that G-d has a plan for us. Trust in the spiritual tools. Do not trust in those who are now fighting to remove the words “In God we trust” from our currency. They are the same people who urge us that violence, hatred, and mob rule and tells us through our (their) networks that it is OK as long as we have a difference of opinion. They are the ones feeding us that difference of opinion.

Today’s technology offers everyone the real possibility to connect to endless knowledge at our fingertips. Whatever the question or problem an answer or solution is only a few clicks away.  The difference between this connection to the cloud and the connection to the Endless Light of Binah is that these Internet answers are impure.  We have no way of knowing whether they are real, whether harm can eventually come from following their advice, or whether the person or powers that are supplying the answers have an agenda, even a possible evil controlling one.  The other difference is that any answer we get from man-made sources is inherently limited. It is limited to at best what is already known, or more accurately what Man thinks he knows.  A few hundred years ago the Earth was flat and the moon was made of cheese, and maybe it is.  Given the limits of today’s technology we cannot even disprove these theories with total certainty.  One month, butter is bad for you, another it is good, then bad again. Though there are trillions of data points out there for us to download, what man knows for certain about the universe and even our human bodies can fill a thimble, and yet we will trust these experts to design antivirus vaccines by messing around with our DNA. G-d Help us!

All our knowledge is limited, meaning it has an end. There is an end to its accuracy and its usefulness. It inherently has an aspect of death in it. Spiritual knowledge, knowledge downloaded directly from the spiritual realm is limitless and always has an aspect of creation and the Creator in it. Therefore, we have a choice.  Over the last 240 years and especially the last 50 years, technology has been accelerated to lead us to believe Man can do anything, and that a new great age of expanded abilities lies before us. By mimicking the schematics of the upper worlds with their connectivity networks and portals operating at the speed of light, we have been led to believe we are living in a more spiritual more personally connected time.  It is a tempting illusion.

It is an illusion nonetheless.  It is a world now, where illusions can be flashed at us at the speed of light with fake news and fake politicians, supported by fake Facebook and fake retweets, following fake currencies and even faker ideologies. In the illusory world of the physical, everything is limited, everything is flawed and doomed to failure and demise. Death is a certainty and G-d is a leap of faith.

By contrast, there is more power in a single Hebrew letter than in all the Internet combined.  Each letter is a portal, an entrance to the beyond, to Binah, and thus an entryway to the true Lightforce of G-d and a link to all the knowledge that ever was and ever will be.

The sum of the entire 22 Hebrew letters, as explained in The Genesis Prayer, is 4248, an obvious allusion to Moshiach Ben David (424) and 8.  Since the letter Chet (ח) is the 8th letter of the alphabet and of numerical value 8, and since we are still plugged into the 8th and final day of Chanukah and to the 8-day window for Ohr HaGanuz, let us use it as an example.  The letter Chet (ח) is the only letter comprised of two consecutive component letters, Vav(ו) and Zayin (ז) and when we add their full names together we get 22 plus 67 equals 89, Chanukah, aligning it with Chanukah of the same numerical value (89) and thus to Ohr HaGanuz and Binah, the 8th sefira counting from below. As we wrote about during Chanukah, the letter Vav(ו) represents the Sun (Shemesh) and the Shamash candle and the name for the letter Zayin (ז) has the numerical value 67, which is also that of Binah.

The values of Vav(ו) multiplied times Zayin (ז) is 42, as in the 42 Letter Name of G-d, the Shem Mem-Bet (מב) the gateway to Binah and as in the 42-square cubit (6 x 7) gateway to the Holy of Holies in the Future Holy Temple.  This connection is also to the healing Binah powers of both the first paragraph of the Shema Prayer, which has 42 words, and to the 42 words that begin with the letter Vav(ו) in the subsequent 3 paragraphs of the Shema.  Moreover, it also connects to the 42 words in the Shema that begin with Aleph (א).  Therefore, given that the spelled-out letter Vav (ואו) at the level of Zeir Anpin has a numerical value of 13 acts like a capacitor and is a sandwich (ו-א-ו) of connections to the 42-Letter Name of G-d and thus Binah.

Speaking of the number 13, it represents the value of the two most basic attributes of G-d that we need to connect with: Love (אהבה) and Oneness (אחד), which is why the 6th and 7th words of the Shema are “One (אחד) and Love (ואהבת).” It is also why the first word of that 42-word paragraph has the gematria value of Endless (אין סוף) and Light (אור) combined. In the spiritual world (One and Love) and (Endless and Light) are the same. Because this connection is so important for us and so anathema to our physical world, there are 13 words that begin with the initial Vav(ו) in the that first 42-word paragraph of the Shema.  It is also why the initials Mem-Bet (מב) that have a numerical value 42, also have an ordinal value of 13, for a complete value of 55, just like the total 55 words of the 4 paragraphs of the Shema that begin with the letter Vav(ו) and that split into segments of 13 and 42.

It is not just random chance that these Vavs(ו) and the Mem-Bet (מב) each sum to 55, since 55 is the sum of the numbers from 1 – 10, as in the 10 sefirot, which according Rabbi Chaim Vittal of blessed memory are connected to the Shem Mem-Bet (מב) through their 42 elements (32 Paths and 10 Sefirot). The 32 Paths themselves are equivalent to One and Love (אחד) and Love (ואהבה), which itself is connected to the Tetragrammaton (יהוה) of numerical value 26 and the 6 for connecting Vav(ו), both representative of the 6 bundled dimensions of Zeir Anpin that act as a ladder to Binah as previously explained.

In our world we are taught to dismiss things as coincidence. In the upper world of true connectivity that concept does not exist; nothing happens in a vacuum or without a reason. Therefore, in the perfect world of the endless light, it is also not coincidental the 55 is the 10th number in the Fibonacci sequence, or that in that short 10 number initial portion of that infinite sequence based on the primordial constant Phi, we not only find that the 7th number is 13, or that there are at least 7 combinations that sum to 42, but we find the numbers 3,5 and 8 appear in order, as in 358 (Moshiach).  It is probably hard to find a mathematician who would not dismiss that, but they would also have to dismiss the fact that 358 is also the 10th digit string within Pi, the other most important primordial mathematical constant that our physicality is built upon.

Spiritually, we know that the concept of Moshiach (the Messiah) or guiding force of Binah is purposely built into the first 10 digits of these infinite numbers in the same way we understand that by admitting the existence of infinity, they are admitting the existence of the spiritual realms and the limitations of anything that does not take infinity into account. We also know that when we examine the gematria of Abraham (808) and Sarah (505) and their children (303) and find that it breaks down to Abraham (808) and Sarah (505) equal 1313 (Love and One) and to “their children (303) + Sarah (505) + Abraham (808) or 3 x (101) + 5 x (101) + 8 x (101) or 358 (Mashiach) and (101).

The Fibonacci numbers are based on Phi with 5 is to 8, as 8 is to 13 in that 3/5 ≈ 5/8 ≈ 8/13 ≈ 13/21 ≈ Phi = .618033887… ; therefore, their children is to as Sarah, as Sarah is to Abraham, as Abraham is to Love, and as love is to G-d (אהיה). What a message! It is all about Love, starting with love for G-d being the strongest and ending with the love we have for our children, which for most of us is the most powerful love we can tangibly feel. Imagine what it will be like when we take that love for our kids as a starting point and build it exponentially from there to reach Binah. And when we follow the trail of Phi and raise it exponentially to the power of 18 we reach 5778.000, this Hebrew Year (5778 HC).

Just to put a spiritual bow on this holiday gift, 101 is the universally recognized numerical value of the archangel Michael, protector of Israel and 1313 BCE was when we received the Torah at Sinai.

Who are their children?

Ezekiel 37:24-28

24 “‘My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. 25 They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever. 26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever. 27 My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people. 28 Then the nations will know that I the Lord make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever.’”

In the spiritual world of connectivity everything has a reason and a purpose. This combination of the numbers 42 and 13 in the Shema, 42-Letter Name of G-d, and within the letter Chet (ח) can automatically connect us to the Tree-of-life and transport us to Israel in that 13 x 42 = 546, the value of the initials of 10 sefirot of the Tree-of-Life and of the 5 letters in the name, Israel (ישראל).

While the 6th, 7th, and 8th Fibonacci (8,13,21) numbers add up to 42, we find that the Names of our other Patriarchs are also connected to love, unconditional love and the Name of G-d (יהוה):

Joseph (יוספ) has a numerical value of 156 or 6 x 26, the numerical value of the Tetragrammaton (יהוה).

Jacob (יעקב) has a numerical value of 182 or 7 x 26, the numerical value of the Tetragrammaton (יהוה).

Isaac (יצחק) has a numerical value of 208 or 8 x 26, the numerical value of the Tetragrammaton (יהוה).

Together the names Joseph (יוספ), Jacob (יעקב), and Isaac (יצחק) have the collective value of 21 x 26 or 546, which as we just explained is the same as the initials of all the sefirot of the Tree of Life. It is also equivalent to unifying two powerful Names of G-d: Ehyeh and the Tetragrammaton.

(אהיה) x (יהוה)

Moreover, while (156 + 182 + 208) = 21 x 26, it also equals 42 x 13.

We can use any of these specific tools as a backdoor to Binah. They are our safe (escape) words we were given when we entered this virtual realty vault. They are G-d’s gifts to us. This Chanukah, we are taking advantage of the Ohr HaGanuz and regifting them.

Purim, Removing the Masks, Part I: New Revelations from the Beginning

It is said that Purim will be the only holiday that we’ll celebrate after the final redemption, but if all the holidays are based on cosmic windows, what separates Purim in the grand scheme of cosmic time? There is obviously some special connection between Purim and the times of Moshiach or the sages wouldn’t have made this special distinction.  We read about Purim in the Book of Ester so that’s where we must search for the answer.

It’s known that the Book of Esther is all about concealment, which is why we celebrate it with a costume party, but like the Torah there are layers of concealment.  The Name of G-d isn’t overtly mentioned in the Book of Ester, but it is found numerous times as the initials of phrases, often as permuted versions (ie YHVH, YHHV, VHYH). The Name Ehyeh (EHYH) is also found in the same manner, as are triplets of the 42-Letter Name and the 72 Names of G-d , but these are all relatively easy to find.

As we are so close to the time of Moshiach and the end of the 70 year period from the foundation of the State of Israel, we should be able to dig deeper, we sho9uld be able to reveal even more.  After all, the Book of Ester, marked the final years of the 70-year Babylonia exile.

It’s OK to get happy and a little inebriated on Purim in order to shed your mask and reveal the inner light within you, but the Baal Shem Tov and his students got drunk on Torah on Purim and so must we if we want to reveal the inner light within the holiday, the light of Moshiach (the Messiah) and Creation.

The story begins by telling us King Ahasuerus, who ruled over 127 provinces, displayed his wealth for 180 + 7 days for a total of 187 days.

Queen Vashti, his wife and equal, held her own party with her 7 maidens for the same final 7 days. On the 7th day, Ahasuerus consulted his 7 chamberlains.

The initials of the first two were Mem and Bet, an obvious allusion to the Shem Mem Bet (42-Letter Name) and also an indication that a journey would begin, as all Torah journeys begin with the Mem-Bet. The total value of their initials is 73, the numerical value of the sefira(dimension) of Chochma (wisdom), associated with both the 42-Letter Name and the Torah’s first verse, of 7 words, whose numerical value is 2701, which is also the sum of all the integers through 73.

Please keep in mind that at the heart of the Book of Ester is about removing Amalek (kabbalistic code for doubts) from our lives in order to bring about Mashiach, the geula (final redemption) and the Tree-0f-life reality, so just in case skepticism were to creep in and ruin it for us, the Book of Ester made certain we wouldn’t miss the connection to Chochma. The ordinal value of Chochma (CChMH) is 37, which is also the ordinal value of the initials of the 7 chamberlains (MBEBEZC).  Moreover, 37 x 73, the inner and surrounding light of Chochma equals 2701.

And as if that weren’t enough to grab our attention the last two chamberlain “Zether and Carcus” add up to 913, the same as the Torah’s first word, bereshit.

Oh, and by the way, those 187 days of display are analogous to the 187 chapters in the Torah, as are the 5 Parts of the Book of Esther analogous to the 5 Books of the Torah.

While the sages tell us Queen Ester was an incarnation of Sarah, the Matriarch, who live 127 years, 127 is also the number of ways any 7 items can be permuted, such as the 7 words in the Torah’s first verse, the 7 lines in the 42-Letter Name matrix, or the 7 dimensions (sefirot) in Zeir Apin, the ladder between Heaven and Earth to which both of them are associated.

We’re only at the 10th verse of the first of 10 chapters in the Book of Esther, an oft overlooked part except to the kabbalists, yet the 10 chapters in themselves is a hint that the Book of Esther may be about the necessary rectification of the 10 sefirot that comprise the Tree-of-life.

This 10th verse begins with  “On the 7th day, when the Kings heart was merry with wine” but let’s break that down, the 7th day is analogous to Shabbat, the 7th and final day of creation and “the King” to Hashem (G-d), and k’tov (was merry) has the numerical value of 37 once again and literally say was good, so the inner light of wisdom was good–the timing was right. The heart of the king (LV-HMLC) has the numerical value 127 once again, indicating that the timing was right to bridge the gap between Heaven and Earth, and with wine (B’YYN) can be understood as “in 70“. Thus the story is really telling us that in 70 years, the timing will be right for the re-establishment of the Tree-of-life reality, just as it was right for Ezra to bring the Israelites home from Persia after their 70 years of exile.

What Abraham Really Purchased for 400 Shekels.

Apropos to our last post about the dissemination of the light and the Jewish souls from 1-3-70-600,000 as presented repeatedly in the Torah, a recent comment on the DailyZohar regarding Chayeh Sarah made a wonderful connection between the 600,000 Jewish souls and Abraham’s purchase of the cave at Machpelah.

“As per Leviticus 27:16,  the size of a beit-kur,  which is the equivalent of 75,000 square cubits, represents a value of 50 silver shekels. Thus, the size of the field which Abraham purchased for 400 silver shekels was eight kur, or 600,000 square cubits. (Paaneach Raza)

A square cubit is the size of the roof hole at the top of Noah’s Ark and the size of the two tablets that the 10 Commandments were engraved in. It’s also enough space for a man to stand comfortably in, meaning Abraham purchased a plot of land that provides an individual “space” for each of the 600,000 souls of Israel. When using the Holy Cubit that the Future Holy Temple is designed with, it works out to a plot of land exactly .37 square miles.

Now, it’s said by the sages that every Jew has a letter in the Torah and that there are 600,000 letters in the Torah. We’ve previously shown that there are exactly 600,000 – 408 component letters in the Torah, when each letter is broken down into the component letters that comprise it.  Interestingly, there are a total of 50 component letters, as in the value of one field, with 50 always being a connection to the upper sefira of Binah.

And since the Torah is a hologram of G-d Name, his Unity, the entire Torah is included in every letter of it, we see by the Torah references to a cubit square that if all the hope of humanity (the opening in the ark) and the entire Torah (10 Commandments) can fit in that 1 square cubit space, and that we have a place reserved for ourselves in Israel thanks to Abraham, we each have the hope of the generation and entire Torah within us. And waiting for us.

The question always arises as to why 408, and we can’t know for certain. We do know, as the Zohar explains that it has to do with the coded Hebrew word “Zot” of numerical value 408, which refers to the time of the final redemption. We also know that if the missing letters were all Vavs of numerical value 6, then the 408 letters would equal 2448, as in the year the Torah was received at Sinai.

Nevertheless, Abraham purchased the cave/field from the sons of Chet (Hittites), whose numerical value is 408. And he purchased the field of 8 kur for 400 shekels for our 8 illustrious forefathers who would be buried there: Adam, Eve, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rivka, Jacob and Leah. Either way, kabbalistically we can construe that as 400+8 = 408.

Abraham was securing a place for us, where we could all one day join together again as one, and he made sure he’d be waiting there for us.

Let’s make sure the Cave of Machpelah and the surrounding 600,000 square cubits (27.5″ x 27.5″) stay in Israel. It’s our patrimony and our future.

Chanukah: Eight days of Miracles Designed to Bring Mashiach

It’s as innocent as the child’s dreidel, or the chocolate gelt. Four sides corresponding to the Tetragrammaton (YHVH), but 4 sides engraved with the Hebrew Letters G, H, N, and Sh. Four letters whose numerical value add to to 358, that of Mashiach, the Messiah.

From the games we play to candles we light, the entire Chanukah event is designed to help us bring Mashiach. And that where our consciousness should be. The eight days are a cosmic event not a celebration of a miracle that happened because it occurred during this cosmic event. The light we light each night are to connect us to the special light of miracles available to us once a year for 8 days staring every 25th of Kislev (Sagittarius). It’s different light/energy than what’s available to us in the 8 days of Sukkot-Shemini Atzeret; and it’s different from the light available to us during the 8 days of Pesach (Passover); and it’s different from the energy available to us on the 8 other holidays throughout the year. In total there are 32 days of varying special Light/energy (besides the special light of Shabbat). This connects to the 32 Paths of Wisdom of the Tree-of-Life through which these various light shine unto us.

The oil lasted 8 days because the Light of Chanukah, Mashiach Light lasted 8 days, not the other way around. As soon as the special Light of Mashiach (Or Ganuz) was revealed into our existence, it was hidden. I learned from my teacher that on the first Shabbat of Creation, it was brought out for 32 hours then hidden away for the time of the Messiah. But for 8 days every year we can taste of the Light.

Chanukah Meditations

It appears the purpose of Channukah is to bring Mashiach.

Let’s start with the books of Maccabees dating (for right or wrong) the first war in 3585 HC with the numerical value of Mashiach being 358.

One of the key elements of Chanukah is based on the spiritual tenet that nothing can ever be lost, once it goes from latent(potential) state to physical one it’s ever present in the universe whether we can physically see it or not. So the light of the first night, is added to the second and so forth until the 8th day when we have the light of 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8 = 36 days.

That explained, we can note that the sum of all the Torah occurrences of the words “first” through “eighth”—echad, sheni, shlishi, reve’i, chamishi, shishi, sheve’I, and shemeni—is (189+125+2+2+2+2+0+0) = 322 and since the sum of days (numbers) 1-8 representing all the summary Chanukah lights for the 8 days is 36 , and (322 + 36) = 358. And while 36 is just the result of rounding off the numerical term 35.8, the number 36 to the kabbalists represents the lamed-vav tzaddikim, or 36 righteous souls necessary at all times to maintain our existence in the universe.

The Blessings

The start of all blessings:

When start the blessing with the word Baruch, we need to keep in mind that it has the value (when using the caf sofit) of 708, which is the same as that of the 42 letters of the upper Mem-Bet, the Name YHVH through 3 iterations. This is no coincidence as it is from this Name that the blessings flow through the 6 levels (dimensions) of zeir anpin and into our world. It is also for this reason that the first gate from the Holy of Holies into our world has the dimensions 6 x 7 (the Gate of 42):

L’hadleek Ner Chanukah:

Now regarding the Chanukah blessings on the words L’hadleek Ner Chanukah and the kavanot that we’ve learned from the Arizal, the 3 first letters Lamed, Nun and Chet, spell out in small gematria, 3,5,8 or 358, Mashiach.

The initials in L’hadleek Ner Chanukah (to light the Chanukah candle) spell the word Nachal (a holy Name that means stream or river, and also inheritance) and it has a numerical value of 88, which when aided by a kolel of 1 = 89, that of Chanukah itself.

Nevertheless, the concept of a stream is very important because by lighting the candles with the right consciousness we’re opening a stream of light (the energy of sustenance or shefa) from above into our lives and world. And the inheritance is the Messiah (the Moshiach).

As explained by the Arizal,the secret of 3 letters N, CH. L and Nachal comes very fittingly considering that the gematria of Chanukah is 89, from the 3 words that comprise the 8th and 9th of the 13 Attributes of G-d : “Notzer Chesed L‘alefim.” The Ari further explains that the 8th sefira (level), which is Binah (Imma/Understanding) is where we are drawing this upper light from. and moreover, that a key secret here is that once the 8th level is tapped into, all 3 upper levels (Binah, Chochma and Keter) are at once available to us.

So the first mediation is on opening up the flowing river (Nachal) from Binah, Chochma and Keter though Binah into Zeir Anpin ( the heavenly ladder that connects our world to Binah (the upper world). Zeir Anpin is represented by the aspect of the Tetragramamton (YVD HE VEV HE) called (Mah) of numerical value 45.

We are further told that Mah combines with Binah through the alef(E) in the letter vav (VEV) to the regressively spelled Name Ehyeh (E, EH EHY EHYH) which is associated with Binah and has a numerical value of 44, together they are 45 + 44 = 89, once again the value of Chanukah. This furthers connects us to the 44 (36 + 8 helper/Shamesh) candles lit during the 8 days of Chanukah.

Second Meditation:

The value of the word L’hadleek plus the kolel (1) = (179 +1) = 180, and partially because of this the Arizal tells us to meditate on Av, Sag, Mah aspects of the Tetragrammaton which total (72+63+45) = 180, at this point in the blessing. We’ll explain below what it connects to, as we don’t want to meditate in a vacuum.

Av (YVD HY VYV HY) = 72

Sag (YVD HY VEV HY) = 63

Mah (YVD HE VEV HE) = 45

= 180

Whenever we have a value of 18 or a multiple of it times 10 (sefirot) in the Torah or Kavanot coding, it has the same connection, which as Rabbi Chaim Vittal of blessed memory explains “All Torah Light is spread by squaring,” is that the square root of 180/10, or 18, is 4.2426. This is significant because 424 is the value for “Mashiach Ben David” and 26 is the value of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH).

Now, specific to the Channuka blessing is that the spelled-out (gematria milui) value of the letters nun (NVN) and that of the lamed (LMD) of L’hadleek Ner is also 180, thus giving us yet another connection to “Mashiach Ben David.

From the 18 words of the 13 Attributes again, “Notzer Chesed l‘alefim” meansHe preserves kindness for 2000 yearswhich is a hint that our time of exile for the past 2000 years is coming to a close, and if we add the 18 to it, we get 2018 CE, the year the tzaddikim have prophesied for the coming of the messiah and the final redemption (geula) and also the year 2018 HC the year G-d made his covenant with Abraham, our inheritance (Nachal).

Indeed, the word candle, Ner, has a numerical value of 250 and so the 8 candles have a collective value of 250 x 8 = 2000.

And so when we add the 180 of Av, Sag. Mah to the 180 of L’hadleek Ner plus the kolel of 3 for the 3 aspects of the YHVH, we get 180 + 180 + 3 = 363, the numerical value of H’Mashiach, (the Messiah), which is what we should be mediating on when we recite L’hadleek Ner:

Regarding Ner, the Arizal tells us to combine the Names Ehyeh, Elohim, and Adonai with YHVH on 3 different levels to draw down the light:

(EHYH, ELHYM, EDNY).

If we take the first two letters of each Name (EH, EL, ED), they add up to 6 + 31+ 5 = 42, as in the 42-Letter Name of G-d, (the Shem Mem-Bet, known as the Ana B’koach).

Then if we take the third letter (EHYH, ELHYM, EDNY) in each (YHN) they add up to 10 + 5 + 50 = 65 the numerical value of Adonai (EDNY), which leaves (H,YM, Y) which sum to 5 + 50 + 10 = 65, Adonai (EDNY) again.

The main point though is that the 3 Names represent the 42-letter Name and 130, which is the numerical value of the two synonyms, Sinai and Sulam (ladder). Now the total numerical value of the 3 Names (EHYH, ELHYM, EDNY) is 172, and when we add 1 for the kolel, it’s 173, as in the small gematria numerical value for the 42-letter Name, not surprising as the 42-Letter Name preceded them.

The Ari further explains that at the word Ner in the blessing we should concentrate on combining the 3 Names (EHYH, ELHYM, EDNY) with the 3 simple (YHVH)’s. These 3 YHVH’s add up to 26 + 26 + 26 = 78, the gematria of Mazla, aramaic for mazal, fortune, which we want to draw into our lives when lighting the Chanukah candles. This process mimics the flow of the shefa, (life-giving light) that emanates from the 3 YHVH’s and flows from the Holy of Holies through the Gate of 42 into the Holy Temple and then our world.

Now the main point of the Arizal was that the 6 Names (YHVHEHYH, YHVHELHYM, YHVHEDNY)-add to 250, the value of Ner, candle, but if we add 6 as the kolel, we get 256, which is the value for both H’Aron (Ark of the Covenant) and for Aaron who lit the Menorah as channel for us all.

So when we recite Ner, we want to meditate on the 42 Letter name (the Ana B’koach), receiving mazal, letting  Aaron, the only person in the Torah assigned the title Mashiach, be our channel to light the Menorah in our lives and world.

We draw the light of blessing down from Chochma to Binah to our world, Malchut.

Now for the full understanding, we take the 3 Names Ehyeh, Elohim and Adonai plus the 3 Names Av, Sag, Mah from the L’hadleek kavanot and numerically add them  (172 + 180) + 6 (kolel for the 6 Names) and get 358, Mashiach

So completing the recitation of Baruch though Ner, we want to have in mind drawing down the light from the Upper 42-Letter Name to the Lower 42-Letter Name though the 3 YHVH’s and into the 3 Names (Ehyeh, Elohim and Adonai) and thus igniting the spark of  Mashiach consciousness in all of us.

The Candle

The candle we’re lighting is the light of the Torah itself as evidenced by the spelled out, gematria milui of the letters (nun-resh) of Ner (candle): (NVN RShY) is (106 + 510) = 616, which is the numerical value of H’Torah, which helps explain Proverb 6:23:

“A mitzvah is a candle, and the Torah is light.”

The Shamesh

The Shamesh, or 9th candle is much more than a simple helper candle.The 9th sefira is that of Chochma, Wisdom. and the unification from above that is assocaited with the 9th sefira is YHVH x EHYH or in numerical terms 26 x 21 = 546, which is the sum of the initials of all 10 sefirot, a clue that this unification helps us draw the energy down through all 10 sefirot.

The value 546 is also the total value of the Names of the 3 Patriarchs whose names began with the letter Yud, which connects them to Chochma (wisdom), the 9th sefira: Isaac (208), Jacob(182), and Jospeh(156).  It’s likewise a connection to Israel, which has a value of 546 when the kolel for the 5 letters is included,

This is an important unification because 546 is the numerical value of koteret, (the incense lit at the inner alter of the Holy Temple) as it says in Proverbs 27:9 “Oil and incense rejoice the heart,” and as the Ari explains, “And the inner altar and the Menorah stood together to give joy to all, as is written.”

So as we light the Shamesh we should meditate to draw down the light through the 10 sefirot and to put joy in our hearts.

And not only does the number 9 divided by the small gematria of the 1st line of 42-letter Name = 73.14159, or extremely precisely 70 + Pi (3.14159..), while the numerical value of the 2nd line is 9 x 9 x 9, one of the reasons the line is utilized in the Shofar blowings of 9 beats each.

So while lighting the Shamesh if you can connect to the first two lines of the 42-letter name keep in mind to lift the world of illusion from the 70 nations, elevating spirituality out of the physicality to bring about Moshiach

The 25th of Kislev

Yet another connection between the kavanot and the words of the blessing is found between the 25 letters of the union of the 6 Names and the value of Ner, 250, since 250/10 = 25, but most important these would be the 25 letters that the Zohar says is missing for the completion of the Mishkan and the 25 words that we know are missing from the completion of the Torah, which is exactly 80,00025 words. It’s also a connection between the 25 letters of the Shma Israel phrase and the 25th of Kislev, as explained by the Zohar.

The next obvious further connection is between the 80,000 words and the 8 lights and nights of Chanukah, since the 4th root of the sum of all the words, letters, and verses of the Torah = 25 exactly. There are also 25 letters in lamed-vav (36) milui.

So note that the 25 letters in the verse “Shma Israel, Adonai Elohenu, Adonai Echad” (Hear O Israel, G-d our Lord is One) is found at Devarim 6:4 and the word Chanukah (ChNV-CH) can be broken down to the two numerical values 64 (ChNV) and 25 (CH), and moreover that the numerical value of the first and last words in that verse, Shma (ShMY) and Echad (EChD) plus the kolel (1) = 410 + 13 + 1 = 424, the numerical value of Mashiach Ben David.

Further to this line of reasoning, and as connected by the Zohar, are the 24 days of Kislev that proceed Chanukah and the 24 letters in the Baruch Shem phrase that follows the Shma Israel phrase.

So on the first night before lighting we should connect to the Shma israel and mediate that we are completing the Torah as in the days of Mashiach.

The OiI

The word for eight (8) in Hebrew is shemonah, and a simple permutation of the letters in shemonah (ShMNH) gives us hashemen. “the oil” (HShMN), and also neshama (soul, NShMH), all of which have the numerical value of 395, that of the 5th word in the Torah, H’Shama’im (the Heavens).

And when we spell out the Shin-Mem-nun root letters of the Oil they add up to 546 that of koteret, the incense again, so once again we must keep in mind (Proverbs 27:9): “Oil and incense rejoice the heart,” and be joyful as we light the oil for that joy will spread through the 10 sefirot and be contagious throughout the world.

The Arizal further explains that the oil in the Menorah and by transference our chanukiyas represents the consciousness of chochma and the incense represents Binah, thus together they are the partzufs of Abba and Imma.

The 8 Nights of Lights

The 44 Candles Sweeten the Judgment

On a simple level, over the 8 nights, we’re lighting 44 candles in total including the shamesh every night, these corresponding to the ordinal value of the letters in Chanukah (ChNVCH), which is 44. It also corresponds to first letters of all 10 plagues, which also add up to 44. So you can see the power to create miracles is built into every aspect of these 8 days.

Moreover, the first plague was blood, dam, also of numerical value 44, and as the Arizal explains “the word “m’damei“, whose numerical value (89) equals that of the word “Chanukah“, is rooted in the letters dalet and mem, which spell the Hebrew word for “blood”. Blood represents the negative powers of judgment, our mission it is to sweeten. Via the 44 (the numerical value of dalet, 4, and mem, 40) lights we kindle throughout Chanukah (including the shammas) and the awakening of consciousness they embody, the kelipot become nullified before us.” Thus with every candle we light, we can sweeten the judgment in out lives and in the world.

And note also that 44 is numerical value of the regressive spelling of the higher name of G-d, Ehyeh, connecting us to Chochma and Binah;

(E – EH – EHY – EHYH)

If our actions of lighting the chanukiya each night rekindle the energy from the night before and culminate in completeness on Zot Chanukah then: On the 1st night we light 1 candle and it stays lit metaphysically for (at least) 8 days; and on the second night we light 2 candles that stay lit, we have a total of 3 lit (rekindled) that second night. On the 3rd night we are lighting (rekindling) 1 + 2 + 3 or a total of six; and so on, until we have 1 + 3 + 6 + 10 + 15 + 21 + 28 + 36 = 120, a familiar mathematical progression that seems to be oft used in the deeper meditations and connections of the Torah, and that we first learned about from Abraham in the Sefer Yetzirah, The Book of Formation.

In the same way, the Shamesh would be 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 = 36. Thus 120 + 36 = 156 or 6 X 26 representing the YHVH, and thus 2 X 78 for mazal.

The Arizal explains that the eight days of Chanukah are, or end up, at the level of hod, the same as a brit whose 8 days expire at hod before the brit can be performed at the level of yesod. Well, considering this, it’s noteworthy that if we assume that all our candles/oil last for 8 days, then in total, we are lighting 120 lights (which would correspond to the 120 permutations of Elohim) plus the 36 lights for the 8 Shamesh that we light, totaling 156, the numerical value for Yosef, who represents the level of Yesod. It’s also the value of Zion.

The 8 Nights of Lights

Now know this for every candle we light below, one is lit above. So for the 156 plus 1 collective one we light each Hanukkah, another 157 are lit above, making 314 in total, with 314 being the numerical value of Shadai (ShDY) and of Mettatron. And that if we consider all the cumulative lit Chanukah lights as a multiple of 8 days: 1 x 3 x 6 x 10 x 15 x 21 x 28 x 36 = 1008 then the 1008 plus1 candles we light, above and below total 2018 candles in all each year in preparation for the Messiah in the year 2018 CE (5778 HC), our inheritance.

And Zion, of numerical value 156, is the same as Yosef, who represents Yesod of Malchut, where the light of Binah ends up on the 8th day and the point where all the divine sustenance funnels into out lives and world. Moreover, Zion, of numerical value 156, is found 107 times in Tanakh and the sum of all the positive integers to 107 is 5778.

Chanukah, a Special Light

The letters of Mashiach (MShYCh) spell out Madlikim Shmona Yemei Chanukah (lighting up eight days of Chanukah).

Chanukah Gelt

Even the parve chocolate gelt we give to our children on Chanukah connects to Mashiach, as the Aramaic word for gelt is Dami (DMY) of numerical value 54, and since 5778 is the sum of all the integers from1 to 107 and 5778 = 107 x 54, then 54, and thus Dami (Gelt), plays yet another role in connecting all of us to the coming of H’Mashiach, B’H very soon

The Menorah is a gift to the worthy.

The Ari in writing about Chanukah explains that the Menorah was made miraculously when Moses threw a kikar (measure) of gold into the furnace and prayed to G-d to fashion it. It immediately emerged fully formed. This further connects the Menorah to the sefira of chochma, which is like a gift bestowed upon a person worthy to receive it.

So bring joy to your heart and joy to the world this Chanukah and help bring the gift of Mashiach into our lives.
